1. Case 1: Meeting a New Friend | 案例1:认识新朋友

In our first case, Ana meets a new classmate, Pablo, on the first day of school. They introduce themselves and ask basic questions. Notice the use of llamarse and tener to talk about names and age.

在第一个案例中,安娜在开学第一天遇到了新同学巴勃罗。他们互相介绍自己并询问基本信息。请注意使用 llamarse 和 tener 来谈论姓名和年龄。

Ana: ¡Hola! ¿Cómo te llamas? (Hi! What is your name?)

安娜:¡Hola! ¿Cómo te llamas? (嗨!你叫什么名字?)

Pablo: Me llamo Pablo. ¿Y tú? (My name is Pablo. And you?)

巴勃罗:Me llamo Pablo. ¿Y tú? (我叫巴勃罗。你呢?)

Ana: Me llamo Ana. Mucho gusto. (My name is Ana. Nice to meet you.)

安娜:Me llamo Ana. Mucho gusto. (我叫安娜。很高兴认识你。)

Pablo: Igualmente. ¿Cuántos años tienes? (Likewise. How old are you?)

巴勃罗:Igualmente. ¿Cuántos años tienes? (彼此彼此。你多大了?)

Ana: Tengo doce años. ¿Y tú? (I am twelve years old. And you?)

安娜:Tengo doce años. ¿Y tú? (我十二岁。你呢?)

Pablo: Yo tengo trece. (I am thirteen.)

巴勃罗:Yo tengo trece. (我十三岁。)

Key grammar: The verb llamarse is reflexive and literally means ‘to call oneself’. Me llamo = I call myself. The verb tener (to have) is irregular: tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen. When telling age, we say tengo [number] años.

关键语法:动词 llamarse 是反身动词,字面意思是“称呼自己”。Me llamo = 我称呼自己为。动词 tener (有) 是不规则动词:tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen。表达年龄时,我们说 tengo [数字] años。

Practice: Write a similar dialogue with a partner using your own name and age. How do you say ‘I am eleven years old’ in Spanish? (Answer: Tengo once años.)

练习:和搭档写一个类似的对话,使用你自己的名字和年龄。如何用西班牙语说“我十一岁”?(答案:Tengo once años。)

2. Case 2: Talking About Family | 案例2:谈论家庭

Now Lucia shows her new friend a photo of her family. This case introduces family vocabulary and the verbs ser and tener for description.

现在露西亚给她的新朋友看一张家庭照片。本案例介绍了家庭词汇以及用于描述的动词 ser 和 tener。

Friend: ¿Quién es ella? (Who is she?)

朋友:¿Quién es ella? (她是谁?)

Lucia: Es mi madre. Se llama Carmen y tiene cuarenta años. (She is my mother. Her name is Carmen and she is forty years old.)

露西亚:Es mi madre. Se llama Carmen y tiene cuarenta años. (她是我妈妈。她叫卡门,四十岁。)

Friend: ¿Y los chicos? (And the boys?)

朋友:¿Y los chicos? (那男孩们呢?)

Lucia: Son mis hermanos. El mayor tiene quince años y el pequeño ocho. Mi padre no está en la foto; es alto y tiene el pelo castaño. (They are my brothers. The older one is fifteen and the little one is eight. My father is not in the photo; he is tall and has brown hair.)

露西亚:Son mis hermanos. El mayor tiene quince años y el pequeño ocho. Mi padre no está en la foto; es alto y tiene el pelo castaño. (他们是我的兄弟。大的十五岁,小的八岁。我爸爸不在照片里;他很高,有棕色头发。)

Useful vocabulary: madre, padre, hermano/a, mayor, pequeño/a, pelo castaño/rubio, alto/a. Notice how ser (es/son) describes permanent traits, while tener is for possession and age.

有用词汇:madre, padre, hermano/a, mayor, pequeño/a, pelo castaño/rubio, alto/a。注意 ser (es/son) 描述永久特征,而 tener 用于拥有和年龄。

Practice: Draw your family tree and write one sentence for each member using Se llama… and tiene… años. Then answer: What does soy alto mean? (Answer: I am tall.)

练习:画出你的家庭树,用 Se llama… 和 tiene… años 为每个成员写一句话。然后回答:soy alto 是什么意思?(答案:我很高。)

3. Case 3: At School – Subjects and Timetables | 案例3:在学校——科目与时间表

Carlos and Marta compare their school timetables. This case practises days of the week, school subjects and the verb tener in the first person to express a schedule.

卡洛斯和玛尔塔比较他们的课程表。本案例练习星期几、学校科目以及用第一人称动词 tener 来表达日程。

Marta: ¿Qué tienes los lunes? (What do you have on Mondays?)

玛尔塔:¿Qué tienes los lunes? (你星期一有什么课?)

Carlos: Los lunes tengo matemáticas, inglés y ciencias. El martes tengo historia y educación física. (On Mondays I have maths, English and science. On Tuesday I have history and PE.)

卡洛斯:Los lunes tengo matemáticas, inglés y ciencias. El martes tengo historia y educación física. (星期一我有数学、英语和科学。星期二有历史和体育。)

Marta: Mi día favorito es el miércoles porque tengo arte y música. (My favourite day is Wednesday because I have art and music.)

玛尔塔:Mi día favorito es el miércoles porque tengo arte y música. (我最喜欢星期三,因为我有美术和音乐。)

Key words: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes (they are not capitalised in Spanish). The phrase tengo + subject is used to say which lessons you have. To ask, use ¿Qué tienes?

关键词:lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes(在西班牙语中不大写)。短语 tengo + 科目 用来表示你有什么课。提问用 ¿Qué tienes?

Practice: Write a dialogue asking and answering about Friday’s lessons. What does los viernes tengo francés mean? (Answer: On Fridays I have French.)

练习:写一段关于星期五课程的问答对话。los viernes tengo francés 是什么意思?(答案:星期五我有法语课。)

Elena and Javier talk about their hobbies. This case focuses on the verb gustar, which works differently from English.

埃莱娜和哈维尔谈论他们的爱好。本案例聚焦动词 gustar,它的用法与英语不同。

Javier: ¿Te gusta el deporte? (Do you like sport?)

哈维尔:¿Te gusta el deporte? (你喜欢运动吗?)

Elena: Sí, me gusta mucho el fútbol. Pero no me gusta nada el baloncesto. (Yes, I like football a lot. But I don’t like basketball at all.)

埃莱娜:Sí, me gusta mucho el fútbol. Pero no me gusta nada el baloncesto. (是的,我很喜欢足球。但是我一点也不喜欢篮球。)

Javier: A mí me gustan los videojuegos. ¿Y a ti? (I like video games. And you?)

哈维尔:A mí me gustan los videojuegos. ¿Y a ti? (我喜欢电子游戏。你呢?)

Elena: Me encantan. También me gusta leer. (I love them. I also like reading.)

埃莱娜:Me encantan. También me gusta leer. (我爱它们。我也喜欢阅读。)

Grammar spotlight: Gustar means ‘to be pleasing’. So me gusta literally means ‘it pleases me’. If the thing liked is plural, use gustan. Add mucho for ‘a lot’ and nada for ‘not at all’. The phrase a mí is used for emphasis.

语法聚焦:Gustar 意为“令人喜欢”。因此 me gusta 字面意思是“它使我喜欢”。如果喜欢的事物是复数,用 gustan。加 mucho 表示“很多”,nada 表示“一点也不”。词组 a mí 用于强调。

Practice: Make three sentences about your likes and dislikes using me gusta / no me gusta. How would you say ‘I like dogs’? (Answer: Me gustan los perros.)

练习:用 me gusta / no me gusta 造三个关于你喜好的句子。如何说“我喜欢狗”?(答案:Me gustan los perros。)

Sara: Voy a cumplir trece años. (I’m going to be thirteen.)

莎拉:Voy a cumplir trece años. (我将要满十三岁。)

Numbers and months: Remember primero for the first, then dos, tres… treinta y uno. Months: enero, febrero, marzo, abril, mayo, junio, julio, agosto, septiembre, octubre, noviembre, diciembre. The formula is: Es el [number] de [month].

Rosa: Me encanta, pero con frío necesitas un abrigo marrón. (I love it, but in the cold you need a brown coat.)

罗莎:Me encanta, pero con frío necesitas un abrigo marrón. (我喜欢,但天冷你需要一件棕色大衣。)

Adjective rules: Colours usually go after the noun and change for gender and number: rojo/roja/rojos/rojas. Exceptions: marrón and azul only add -es for plural (azules, marrones).

形容词规则:颜色通常放在名词后面,并根据性和数变化:rojo/roja/rojos/rojas。例外:marrón 和 azul 只在复数时加 -es(azules, marrones)。
