When placed side by side, they create maximum contrast and vibrancy. For a more subdued effect, mix complementary colours to produce neutral greys and browns.

For two-point perspective, vertical lines stay vertical, while horizontals recede to either left or right vanishing point.

Expanding to three values (white, grey, black) helps clarify mid-tones. For realistic shading, ensure at least 5 distinct values are present.

Implement three bands—foreground (high contrast, warm, sharp), middle ground (neutral), background (cool, low contrast, blurred).

The formula: visual weight = size × contrast × colour saturation × distance from centre.
