📚 KS3 WJEC Spanish: Case Study Practice | 案例分析实战演练

Case studies are a fantastic way to bring your Spanish learning to life. By working through real-life situations, you can practise vocabulary, grammar and communication skills just as you would use them in Spain or Latin America. This article provides a series of interactive case studies and drills tailored to the KS3 WJEC Spanish curriculum, helping you build confidence for both classroom assessments and future exams.

案例学习是让西班牙语学习变得生动有趣的好方法。通过处理真实场景,你可以练习词汇、语法和交流技巧,就像在西班牙或拉丁美洲实际使用一样。本文提供一系列互动案例和练习,专为KS3 WJEC西班牙语课程设计,帮助你在课堂评估和未来考试中建立信心。

1. Understanding Case Studies in Spanish | 理解西班牙语案例分析

A case study in Spanish usually presents a short scenario or problem that you need to solve using the language. For example, you might receive a text message from a friend inviting you to a party and ask you to reply. WJEC tasks often include role plays, photo descriptions and short writing exercises based on everyday topics such as family, school, food and holidays.

西班牙语中的案例学习通常会给出一个简短的场景或问题,需要你使用语言来解决。例如,你可能会收到朋友发来的短信,邀请你参加派对,并让你回复。WJEC的题目通常包括角色扮演、图片描述以及基于日常主题(如家庭、学校、食物和假期)的简短写作练习。

To succeed, you need to understand the context, pick out key information and respond appropriately. Practising with case studies helps you think in Spanish rather than translating word by word from English. It also shows you how grammar and vocabulary work together in real communication.

为了成功,你需要理解语境,提取关键信息并恰当回应。通过案例练习可以帮助你用西班牙语思考,而不是逐字从英语翻译。它还能让你看到语法和词汇如何在真实交流中协同运用。

2. Vocabulary for Daily Situations | 日常情景词汇

Before diving into case studies, let’s revise some essential vocabulary for common situations. Below is a table of useful words and phrases you will encounter. Try reading them aloud to improve pronunciation and memory.

在深入案例之前,我们先复习一下常见场景中的基本词汇。下面是一张你会遇到的有用单词和短语表。试着大声朗读以改善发音和记忆。

English Spanish
Hello / Hi Hola
Good morning Buenos días
Please Por favor
Thank you Gracias
How much does it cost? ¿Cuánto cuesta?
I would like… Me gustaría…
The bill, please La cuenta, por favor

Make sure you can recognise these words instantly when reading or listening. In our case studies we will also add food items (e.g. café, zumo, bocadillo), family members (madre, hermano, abuelos) and school subjects (matemáticas, inglés, historia). Building a strong word bank is the first step to confident communication.

确保你在阅读或听力中能立即认出这些词。在我们的案例学习中,我们还会添加食物(如咖啡、果汁、三明治)、家庭成员(母亲、兄弟、祖父母)和学校科目(数学、英语、历史)。建立一个强大的词库是自信交流的第一步。

3. Grammar Focus: Present Tense Verbs | 语法重点:现在时动词

Most case studies at KS3 require you to use the present tense. Regular -ar, -er and -ir verbs follow predictable patterns. Let’s review the verb ‘hablar’ (to speak) as an example. The endings are added to the stem ‘habl-‘.

KS3的大多数案例学习要求你使用现在时。规则 -ar、-er 和 -ir 动词遵循可预测的模式。我们以 ‘hablar’(说话)为例复习一下。这些词尾被加到词干 ‘habl-‘ 上。

hablar: yo hablo, tú hablas, él/ella/usted habla, nosotros/nosotras hablamos, vosotros/vosotras habláis, ellos/ellas/ustedes hablan

You also need key irregular verbs that appear in almost every case study: ser (to be, permanent), estar (to be, temporary/location), tener (to have) and ir (to go). A quick revision:

你还需要掌握一些几乎出现在每个案例中的关键不规则动词:ser(是,永久)、estar(是/在,暂时/位置)、tener(有)和 ir(去)。快速复习:

  • ser: soy, eres, es, somos, sois, son
  • estar: estoy, estás, está, estamos, estáis, están
  • tener: tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen
  • ir: voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van

Master these and you will be able to handle descriptions, locations and plans in your case study answers. For example, ‘Tengo un hermano’ (I have a brother) or ‘Vamos al parque’ (We go to the park).

掌握这些,你就能在案例回答中处理描述、位置和计划。例如 ‘Tengo un hermano’(我有一个兄弟)或 ‘Vamos al parque’(我们去公园)。

4. Case Study 1: Ordering at a Café | 案例1:在咖啡馆点餐

Imagine you are on holiday in Madrid. You walk into a café and want to order a snack and a drink. Study the dialogue below and then answer the questions. This case practises food vocabulary, polite requests and numbers.

想象你在马德里度假。你走进一家咖啡馆,想要点一份小吃和一杯饮料。学习以下对话,然后回答问题。这个案例练习食物词汇、礼貌请求和数字。

Camarero: Buenos días. ¿Qué desea?

Tú: Buenos días. Quiero un café con leche, por favor.

Camarero: ¿Algo más?

Tú: Sí, un cruasán también.

Camarero: Muy bien. Son dos euros con cincuenta.

Tú: Aquí tiene. Gracias.

Now answer these questions:

现在回答这些问题:

  1. What drink did the customer order?
  2. What snack did they ask for?
  3. How much did they pay?
  4. Write a similar dialogue where you order a cola and a tostada (toast).

Check your answers: 1. Un café con leche (a coffee with milk). 2. Un cruasán (a croissant). 3. €2.50 (dos con cincuenta). 4. Model answer: ‘Buenos días. Quiero una cola, por favor. Y una tostada. ¿Cuánto es? – Son tres euros.’ Remember to adapt the price to make sense.

检查你的答案:1. 一杯牛奶咖啡。2. 一个羊角面包。3. 2.50欧元。4. 示例答案:’Buenos días. Quiero una cola, por favor. Y una tostada. ¿Cuánto es? – Son tres euros.’ 记得使价格合理。

5. Role-play Dialogue Practice | 角色扮演对话练习

Role-plays are a common WJEC task. Practise this conversation with a partner, taking turns to be the customer and the shop assistant in a clothes shop. Use the key shopping phrases below.

角色扮演是WJEC常见的任务。和搭档练习这段对话,轮流扮演顾客和服装店的店员。使用下面的关键购物短语。

  • ¿Cuánto cuesta esta camiseta? (How much does this T-shirt cost?)
  • Cuesta quince euros. (It costs fifteen euros.)
  • ¿Tienen una talla más pequeña? (Do you have a smaller size?)
  • Sí, aquí tiene. (Yes, here you are.)
  • Me lo llevo. (I’ll take it.)

Now create a full dialogue: start with a greeting, ask about an item, ask for a different size or colour, and finally buy it. Write your version down, then perform it aloud. This will sharpen your spoken Spanish for the exam.

现在创建一段完整的对话:以问候开始,询问一件商品,要求不同的尺码或颜色,最后购买。写下你的版本,然后大声表演。这将磨炼你的考试口语。

6. Case Study 2: Describing Your Family | 案例2:描述你的家庭

You are asked to introduce your family to a Spanish exchange student. Write a short paragraph describing at least three family members, including their names, ages, physical descriptions and personalities. Use the verbs ‘ser’ and ‘tener’ correctly.

你被要求向一位西班牙交换生介绍你的家庭。写一段短文,描述至少三位家庭成员,包括他们的名字、年龄、外貌和性格。正确使用动词 ‘ser’ 和 ‘tener’。

Example:

例子:

‘Mi madre se llama Ana. Tiene cuarenta años. Es alta y morena. Es muy simpática. Mi padre se llama Carlos. Tiene cuarenta y dos años. Es bajo y lleva gafas. Es trabajador. Mi hermana menor se llama Lucía. Tiene diez años. Es pelirroja y divertida.’

‘我的妈妈叫安娜。她四十岁。她又高又黑发,非常和蔼。我的爸爸叫卡洛斯。他四十二岁,个子矮,戴眼镜,很勤劳。我的妹妹露西亚,十岁,红头发,很有趣。’

Now write your own paragraph. Remember to make adjectives agree in gender and number. For example, ‘mi hermano es alto’ but ‘mis hermanas son altas’. Check your work against the sample.

现在写下你自己的段落。记住形容词要在性和数上保持一致。例如,’mi hermano es alto’ 但 ‘mis hermanas son altas’。对照范例检查你的作品。

7. Using Adjectives and Ser/Estar | 使用形容词及Ser/Estar

In case studies, you will often need to describe people, places and feelings. The choice between ‘ser’ and ‘estar’ can change the meaning. ‘Ser’ is used for permanent characteristics, while ‘estar’ is for temporary states or locations.

在案例学习中,你经常需要描述人物、地点和感受。’ser’ 和 ‘estar’ 之间的选择会改变含义。’ser’ 用于永久特征,而 ‘estar’ 用于临时状态或位置。

  • Soy inglés. (I am English – nationality, permanent) vs. Estoy en el colegio. (I am at school – location)
  • La casa es grande. (The house is big – size, permanent) vs. La casa está limpia. (The house is clean – state)

Choose ser or estar for these sentences:

为下列句子选择 ser 或 estar:

  1. Mi hermano ___ cansado.
  2. Carlos ___ profesor.
  3. Nosotros ___ en el parque.
  4. La fiesta ___ divertida.

Answers: 1. está (temporary feeling), 2. es (profession), 3. estamos (location), 4. es (describing the party’s nature). However, if you mean the party is fun right now, ‘está divertida’ is also possible. For KS3, using ‘ser’ for general descriptions like ‘La fiesta es divertida’ is a safe choice.

答案:1. está(暂时的感觉),2. es(职业),3. estamos(位置),4. es(描述聚会的特性)。不过,如果你指的是聚会此刻很有趣,也可以用 ‘está divertida’。对于KS3,用 ‘ser’ 进行一般性描述如 ‘La fiesta es divertida’ 是稳妥的选择。

8. Reading Comprehension: A School Timetable | 阅读理解:学校课程表

Read this short text about a student’s timetable and answer the questions. Reading case studies test your ability to pick out details from everyday texts.

  1. What subject does the student have on Monday at 9?
  2. When does the student have Spanish?
  3. Which subject does the student have on Wednesday at 11?
  4. Why is Wednesday the student’s favourite day?

Check: 1. Matemáticas (maths). 2. On Tuesday at 10. 3. Música (music). 4. Because the student has art and music.

检查:1. 数学。2. 星期二十点。3. 音乐。4. 因为有美术和音乐课。
