Many candidates assume that speaking and listening are tested only in language qualifications. In CAIE A-Level Drama, however, vocal and aural skills are woven into every component: devised performance, scripted work, written analysis and the live evaluation of theatre.

2. Breathing and Vocal Warm-Up | 呼吸与声乐热身

Effective voice work begins with low, diaphragmatic breathing. Place one hand on the abdomen and inhale through the nose for four counts, hold for four counts, then release the breath on a controlled sss for eight counts. This reduces tension in the shoulders and gives the voice steady support.
