The transcript extract: ‘Bonjour, je voudrais réserver une chambre double pour deux nuits, du 14 au 16 juillet. C’est combien pour la nuit?’ ‘C’est soixante-quinze euros par nuit, petit déjeuner compris.’

Alex’s first attempt missed ‘du 14 au 16 juillet’ because he was still writing the room type. The fix is to pre-read the questions and write only the first letter or number while listening, then complete the word later. This reduces cognitive load and prevents missing the next detail.
