Art can feel different from subjects with mark schemes and past papers, but WJEC IGCSE Art is not a mystery. It rewards a visible creative journey: exploring ideas, experimenting with materials, recording observations and making a personal final piece.

WJEC Art and Design is usually divided into a coursework portfolio and an externally set assignment. The portfolio is built over the course and is worth a larger share, while the externally set assignment includes an extended preparation period followed by a timed final piece.
