Gross domestic product (GDP) per capita remains the most commonly quoted measure for comparing living standards across countries. However, for A-Level Economics, Cambridge examiners expect students to understand that GDP is a narrow flow measure of market output and may not fully reflect the quality of life, human development, environmental sustainability, or inequality.
