Cosmology is the study of the Universe as a whole, including its origin, evolution, and eventual fate. In GCSE Physics, you are expected to understand the Solar System, the life cycle of stars, redshift, the expanding Universe, and the evidence for the Big Bang theory.

1. Structure of the Solar System | 太阳系的结构

Our Solar System consists of the Sun, eight planets, dwarf planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. The Sun is a main-sequence star, producing energy by nuclear fusion of hydrogen into helium. The planets in order from the Sun are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The inner four planets are rocky, while the outer four are gas giants (Jupiter and Saturn) and ice giants (Uranus and Neptune).
