The WJEC GCSE Mathematics specification (for first teaching from 2015, with examinations from 2017) is designed to develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts. It prepares students to reason mathematically, solve problems, and apply mathematics in real-world contexts. The qualification is linear, meaning all examinations are taken at the end of the course.
