📚 Year 8 OCR Chinese: Quick Reference Formula & Theorem Handbook | Year 8 OCR 中文:公式定理速查手册
Mastering Chinese grammar at Year 8 level is all about recognising patterns. Just like mathematics, Mandarin sentence structures can be turned into clear formulas that help you build correct sentences every time. This handbook collects the essential ‘formulas’ and ‘theorems’ you need for the OCR Chinese course, covering word order, aspect markers, questions, passive voice, comparisons and much more. Use it as a quick reference whenever you are stuck, and soon these patterns will become second nature.
掌握 Year 8 阶段的中文语法,关键在于识别规律。就像数学一样,汉语句子结构可以归纳成清晰的公式,帮助你每次都能造出正确的句子。这本手册汇集了 OCR 中文课程所必需的核心“公式”与“定理”,涵盖语序、时态标记、疑问句、被动句、比较句式等。每当你卡壳时,把它当作速查手册来翻阅,这些句型模式很快就会变得得心应手。
1. Basic Word Order | 基本语序
The most fundamental formula in Chinese is the Subject-Verb-Object order, which matches English. However, time words and place phrases always come before the verb, never at the end of the sentence.
中文最基础的公式是“主语-动词-宾语”语序,与英文一致。但时间词和地点短语总是放在动词之前,永远不能放在句末。
Subject + Time + Place + Verb + Object
For example: I go to school at 8 o’clock every day. becomes 我 每天 八点 去 学校。 Notice how ‘every day’ and ‘at 8 o’clock’ precede the verb ‘go’.
例如:我每天八点去学校。 注意“每天”和“八点”放在动词“去”的前面。
- 他 在图书馆 看 书。(He reads books in the library.)
- 她 星期天 在家 做 作业。(She does homework at home on Sunday.)
- 他在图书馆看书。(他在图书馆看书。)
- 她星期天在家做作业。(她星期天在家做作业。)
2. Adjective Predicates & 很 | 形容词谓语句与“很”
In Chinese, adjectives can function as predicates without a verb ‘to be’. Instead, the structure links the subject directly to the adjective, but a modifier such as 很 (hěn, very) is almost always inserted unless a contrast is being made. Think of 很 as a ‘sentence lubricant’ rather than a strong ‘very’.
在中文里,形容词可以直接充当谓语,无需系动词“是”。结构直接连接主语和形容词,但通常必须加入修饰词如“很”,除非表示对比。可以把“很”看作句子润滑剂,而非强调“非常”。
Subject + 很 + Adjective
我不忙 (I am not busy) is fine for negation, but for a simple statement we say 我很忙 (I am busy), where 很 is often unstressed and simply fills a grammatical slot.
否定时可以说“我不忙”,但普通陈述用“我很忙”,这里的“很”常常轻读,仅起语法填充作用。
- 这本书 很有意思。(This book is interesting.)
- 他 很高。(He is tall.)
- 这本书很有意思。(这本书很有意思。)
- 他很高。(他很高。)
3. Negation: 不 (bu) vs 没 (mei) | 否定:不 和 没
Two main negation words exist: 不 is used for present and future actions, habitual actions, and adjectives; 没 (or 没有) is used for past actions and to deny the completion of an event. This is a crucial distinction for Year 8 learners.
主要有两个否定词:“不”用于现在和将来的动作、习惯性动作以及形容词;“没”(或“没有”)用于过去的动作,否定事件的完成。这个区分对 Year 8 学生至关重要。
不 + Verb / Adjective (non-past, habitual) | 没 + Verb (past completion)
我不吃早饭 means ‘I don’t eat breakfast (habitually)’, while 我没吃早饭 means ‘I didn’t eat breakfast (this morning)’.
“我不吃早饭”表示“我没有吃早饭的习惯”,“我没吃早饭”则表示“我今天早上没吃早饭”。
- 他不喜欢咖啡。(He doesn’t like coffee.)
- 我没看见他。(I didn’t see him.)
- 他不喜欢咖啡。
- 我没看见他。
4. Questions: 吗, 呢, 什么, 谁, 哪 | 疑问句
Chinese question forms are refreshingly logical. Yes/no questions simply add the particle 吗 to the end of a statement. For wh-questions, the question word stays exactly where the answer would go – no inversion needed.
中文的疑问句式逻辑清晰。一般疑问句只需在陈述句末尾加“吗”;特殊疑问句则将疑问词直接放在答案所在位置,无需倒装。
Statement + 吗? | Subject + Question Word + …
你是学生吗?(Are you a student?) The word order is identical to ‘You are a student’. For ‘What is your name?’ you say 你叫什么名字? where 什么 replaces the name.
“你是学生吗?”语序与“你是学生”完全一致。“你叫什么名字?”中,“什么”直接替换名字的位置。
- 他在哪儿?(Where is he?)
- 这是谁的笔?(Whose pen is this?)
- 他在哪儿?
- 这是谁的笔?
5. Completed Action: 了 (le) | 动作完成:了
The aspect particle 了 is placed directly after a verb to indicate an action has been completed. It is not a past tense marker, but rather signals completion within any time frame. When the object has a modifier or is quantified, a second sentence-final 了 often appears to mark a new situation.
动态助词“了”紧跟在动词后,表示动作已完成。它不是过去时态标记,而是在任何时间范围内标记完成。当宾语带有修饰语或数量时,常在句尾再加一个“了”表示新情况。
Verb + 了 + (Quantified/Object with modifier)
我买了一本书 (I bought a book) uses 了 after the verb to show the buying is complete. If you want to say ‘I bought a book and am done with it’, you might add a sentence-final 了: 我买了一本书了. However, for most Year 8 purposes, the post-verbal 了 suffices.
“我买了一本书”中动词后用了“了”表示购买完成。如需强调“已经买了一本书了”,可加句尾“了”。但 Year 8 阶段掌握动词后“了”即可。
- 他吃了晚饭。(He ate dinner.)
- 我写了作业。(I finished writing the homework.)
- 他吃了晚饭。
- 我写了作业。
6. Experience: 过 (guo) | 经历:过
When you want to express that someone has experienced something in the past, use 过 right after the verb. This emphasises the experience of having done something, not its completion in a specific instance.
要表达某人经历过某事,用“过”跟在动词后面。它强调有过某种经历,而非某一次动作的完成。
Subject + Verb + 过 + Object
我去过中国 means ‘I have been to China (in my life, it is an experience)’. Contrast with 我去了中国, which means ‘I went to China (on a specific trip)’.
“我去过中国”意为“我曾经去过中国(指人生经历)”。与“我去了中国”对比,后者指“我去中国了(某次具体行程)”。
- 你吃过饺子吗?(Have you (ever) eaten dumplings?)
- 他看过那部电影。(He has seen that movie.)
- 你吃过饺子吗?
- 他看过那部电影。
7. Ongoing Action: 在 (zai) | 正在进行的动作:在
Ongoing or progressive actions are indicated by placing 在 directly before the verb. The fuller form 正在 adds emphasis and is more vivid, but 在 alone is perfectly acceptable in spoken Mandarin.
进行中的动作用“在”放在动词前表示。完整形式“正在”更强调、更生动,但口语中单用“在”完全可行。
Subject + 在 + Verb (+ Object)
我在吃饭 simply means ‘I am eating (right now)’. You can also add a time phrase: 我现在在吃饭 (I am eating now). Note that 在 does not work with adjectives.
“我在吃饭”就是“我正在吃饭”。也可以加时间词:“我现在在吃饭”。注意“在”不用于形容词前。
- 妈妈在做饭。(Mum is cooking.)
- 他们在踢足球。(They are playing football.)
- 妈妈在做饭。
- 他们在踢足球。
8. The 把 Structure | 把字句
The 把 structure is one of the most iconic Chinese grammar patterns. It brings the object forward before the verb to emphasise what happened to it – usually a change, result, or disposal. The formula is rigid: the object after 把 must be specific, and the verb must be followed by a complement or other element.
“把”字句是中文最具代表性的语法结构之一。它把宾语提前至动词前,以强调宾语受到的影响——通常是变化、结果或处置。公式很严格:“把”后的宾语必须确指,且动词后必须跟随补语或其他成分。
Subject + 把 + Object + Verb + Complement / Result
Correct: 我把作业写完了。 (I finished the homework – result 完). Incorrect to just say 我把作业写 without a result. Compare with standard SVO: 我写完了作业.
正确:“我把作业写完了。”(结果“完”)。不能说“我把作业写”而不加结果。对比普通语序:“我写完了作业”。
- 请把门打开。(Please open the door.)
- 他把水喝光了。(He drank all the water.)
- 请把门打开。
- 他把水喝光了。
9. The 被 Passive | 被字句
To form a passive sentence where the subject receives the action, Chinese uses 被 (formal/written) or the more colloquial 叫/让. The agent (doer) can be omitted if unknown or unimportant.
要构成主语承受动作的被动句,中文用“被”(正式/书面),口语中也用“叫”“让”。如果施动者未知或不重要,可以省略。
Receiver + 被 (+ Agent) + Verb + Complement
我的笔被(弟弟)弄坏了。(My pen was broken (by my younger brother)). Unlike English, Chinese passive verbs still need a complement or result – you cannot say 我的笔被弄 without adding 坏了 or 丢了.
“我的笔被(弟弟)弄坏了。” 与英文不同,中文被动句的动词仍需补语——不能说“我的笔被弄”而不加“坏了”或“丢了”。
- 蛋糕被吃完了。(The cake was eaten up.)
- 窗户被风吹开了。(The window was blown open by the wind.)
- 蛋糕被吃完了。
- 窗户被风吹开了。
10. Comparisons: 比, 一样, 最 | 比较句式
Comparisons use the 比 structure, where the order is ‘A 比 B adjective’. To express equality, use 跟/和…一样. For superlatives, use 最 before the adjective. Never place 和 or 比 at the end of the sentence.
比较句用“比”结构,语序为“A 比 B + 形容词”。表示同等,用“跟/和……一样”。最高级则在形容词前加“最”。切勿把“比”或“和”放在句末。
A 比 B + Adjective | A 跟 B 一样 + Adjective | A 最 + Adjective
她比我高。(She is taller than me.) 他和我一样大。(He is as old as me.) 她是我们班最高的。(She is the tallest in our class.)
“她比我高。”“他和我一样大。”“她是我们班最高的。”
- 今天比昨天冷。(Today is colder than yesterday.)
- 英语没有中文难。(English is not as difficult as Chinese – using 没有 to compare.)
- 今天比昨天冷。
- 英语没有中文难。(用“没有”表示比较。)
11. The 是……的 Emphasis | “是……的”强调
When you want to highlight the time, place, or manner of a past event, the 是……的 construction is the tool to use. 是 is placed before the emphasised detail, and 的 usually ends the sentence. This structure is extremely common in spoken Chinese for giving background information.
要强调一个过去事件发生的时间、地点或方式,就用“是……的”结构。“是”放在被强调的部分前,“的”通常放在句尾。这个结构在口语中极常用,用于提供背景信息。
Subject + 是 + Emphasised Detail + Verb + 的
我是昨天去的。(It was yesterday that I went.) Or 你是在哪儿学的中文?(Where was it that you learned Chinese?) The verb remains in its base form, no 了 needed.
“我是昨天去的。”或者“你是在哪儿学的中文?”动词保持原形,不用加“了”。
- 他是骑车来的。(He came by bike – emphasis on how.)
- 我们是在学校认识的。(We met at school – emphasis on where.)
- 他是骑车来的。
- 我们是在学校认识的。
12. Measure Words | 量词
Every noun in Chinese, when counted, requires a measure word between the number/demonstrative and the noun. Although hundreds exist, the Year 8 OCR course focuses on the most frequent ones. Think of them as useful formulas: ‘numeral + measure word + noun’.
中文里每个名词在计数时都需要在数词/指示代词和名词之间插入量词。虽然有上百个量词,但 Year 8 OCR 课程聚焦于最常用的几个。把它们记作公式:“数词 + 量词 + 名词”。
Number + Measure Word + Noun
| 个 (ge) | General measure word for people, many objects | 一个人, 三个苹果 |
|---|---|---|
| 本 (ben) | For books, notebooks | 一本书, 两本词典 |
| 只 (zhi) | For animals, one of a pair | 一只猫, 两只手 |
| 张 (zhang) | For flat objects (paper, tables) | 一张纸, 一张床 |
| 件 (jian) | For clothes, matters | 一件衣服, 一件事 |
Memorise these formulas with the nouns you learn, and your Chinese will sound much more natural.
学习名词时一起记下这些搭配公式,你的中文会听起来自然得多。
