1. Personal Pronouns & Verb Conjugation | 人称代词与动词变位

In German, the verb ending changes depending on the subject. The personal pronouns are ich (I), du (you, informal), er/sie/es (he/she/it), wir (we), ihr (you, plural informal) and sie/Sie (they/you, formal). For regular verbs like spielen (to play), the present tense conjugations are: ich spiele, du spielst, er/sie/es spielt, wir spielen, ihr spielt, sie/Sie spielen. Notice the consistent pattern: the stem stays, and endings are -e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en.

德语中动词词尾随主语变化。人称代词包括 ich(我)、du(你)、er/sie/es(他/她/它)、wir(我们)、ihr(你们)和 sie/Sie(他们/您)。以规则动词 spielen(玩)为例,现在时变位为:ich spiele, du spielst, er/sie/es spielt, wir spielen, ihr spielt, sie/Sie spielen。掌握词干加词尾的规律非常重要,尤其要注意 du 词尾 -st 和 er/sie/es 词尾 -t。

Two of the most important irregular verbs are sein (to be) and haben (to have). Their forms must be memorised: ich bin, du bist, er/sie/es ist, wir sind, ihr seid, sie/Sie sind; ich habe, du hast, er/sie/es hat, wir haben, ihr habt, sie/Sie haben. You will use these in almost every sentence when talking about yourself and others.

两个最重要的不规则动词是 sein(是)和 haben(有)。它们的变位需要熟记:ich bin, du bist, er/sie/es ist, wir sind, ihr seid, sie/Sie sind;以及 ich habe, du hast, er/sie/es hat, wir haben, ihr habt, sie/Sie haben。在描述自己或他人时,几乎每句话都离不开它们。

2. Definite & Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词

Every German noun has a gender: masculine, feminine or neuter. The definite article ‘the’ is der (masculine), die (feminine), das (neuter) in the nominative case. For plural nouns, the definite article is always die. The indefinite article ‘a/an’ is ein (masculine/neuter) and eine (feminine). Learning the article together with the noun is essential, as it affects later grammar such as adjective endings and case changes.

每个德语名词都有性别:阳性、阴性或中性。定冠词“the”在主格中为 der(阳)、die(阴)、das(中);复数一律用 die。不定冠词“a/an”为 ein(阳/中)和 eine(阴)。将冠词与名词一起记忆至关重要,因为它会影响后续的形容词词尾和格的变化。

Year 8 learners also begin to see the accusative case, used for direct objects. The masculine article changes from der to den and from ein to einen, while feminine, neuter and plural articles stay the same. For example: Ich sehe den Hund. (I see the dog.) This simple rule builds the foundation for understanding all four cases later.

Year 8 学生也开始接触宾格(第四格),用于直接宾语。阳性的冠词从 der 变成 den,ein 变成 einen,阴性、中性和复数保持不变。例如:Ich sehe den Hund.(我看见那只狗。)这条简单规则为以后学习四个格打下了基础。

Case Masc. Fem. Neut. Plural
Nominative der / ein die / eine das / ein die / –
Accusative den / einen die / eine das / ein die / –

3. Noun Genders & Plurals | 名词性别与复数形式

All German nouns are capitalised. While there are no absolute rules for gender, some patterns help: words ending in -e are often feminine (e.g. die Lampe), words ending in -er, -el, -en are often masculine (der Teller, der Löffel), and words ending in -chen or -lein are neuter (das Mädchen). Always learn a noun with its article and plural form from the beginning.

所有德语名词首字母大写。性别虽然大多无固定规则,但有些常见趋势:以 -e 结尾多为阴性(如 die Lampe),以 -er、-el、-en 结尾多为阳性(der Teller, der Löffel),以 -chen 或 -lein 结尾则为中性(das Mädchen)。最好从一开始就把名词和它的冠词、复数一起记住。

Plural forms in German can feel unpredictable, but they fall into several main patterns: adding -e (der Hund → die Hunde); adding -er with an umlaut if possible (das Kind → die Kinder); adding -n or -en (die Katze → die Katzen); adding -s (das Auto → die Autos); or no ending but with an umlaut (der Bruder → die Brüder). Practice by grouping words that follow the same pattern.

德语名词的复数形式有多种变化,常见的有:加 -e(der Hund → die Hunde);加 -er 且可能加变音(das Kind → die Kinder);加 -n 或 -en(die Katze → die Katzen);加 -s(das Auto → die Autos);或只加变音不加词尾(der Bruder → die Brüder)。可以通过归类练习来熟悉这些模式。

4. Basic Sentence Structure | 基本句子结构

German main clauses follow the rule ‘verb second’. This means the conjugated verb is always the second idea in the sentence, even if the first element is not the subject. For example: Ich spiele heute Tennis. (I play tennis today.) or Heute spiele ich Tennis. (Today I play tennis.) The verb remains firmly in second position.

德语主句遵循“动词二位”规则,即变位动词永远是句子中的第二个成分,即使第一位不是主语也必须如此。例如:Ich spiele heute Tennis. 或 Heute spiele ich Tennis.(今天我打网球。)动词始终牢牢占据第二位。

Yes/no questions are formed by placing the verb first: Spielst du Tennis? For questions that ask for specific information, a question word such as wer (who), was (what), wo (where), wann (when), wie (how) or warum (why) comes first, followed by the verb: Wann spielst du Tennis? This structure is essential for everyday communication.

一般疑问句将动词置于首位:Spielst du Tennis?(你打网球吗?)特殊疑问句则把疑问词如 wer(谁)、was(什么)、wo(哪里)、wann(什么时候)、wie(怎样)、warum(为什么)放在句首,然后紧跟动词:Wann spielst du Tennis?(你什么时候打网球?)这个结构在日常交流中不可或缺。

5. Greetings & Introductions | 问候与自我介绍

Being able to greet people and introduce yourself is the first step in real communication. Common greetings include Hallo (hello), Guten Morgen (good morning), Guten Tag (good day), Guten Abend (good evening). Goodbyes are expressed with Tschüss (bye) or Auf Wiedersehen (goodbye, more formal). Use Wie geht’s? to ask how someone is.

能够问候他人和自我介绍是真实交流的第一步。常用问候语有 Hallo(你好)、Guten Morgen(早上好)、Guten Tag(日安)、Guten Abend(晚上好)。告别时可以说 Tschüss(拜拜)或更正式的 Auf Wiedersehen(再见)。用 Wie geht’s? 来询问对方近况。

When introducing yourself, you can say: Ich heiße … (My name is …), Ich bin … Jahre alt (I am … years old), Ich wohne in … (I live in …), Ich komme aus … (I come from …). To ask others, simply turn these into questions: Wie heißt du?, Wie alt bist du?, Wo wohnst du?, Woher kommst du? Practice these mini dialogues aloud to build confidence.

做自我介绍时可以说:Ich heiße …(我叫……),Ich bin … Jahre alt(我……岁),Ich wohne in …(我住在……),Ich komme aus …(我来自……)。想询问对方时,只需要将这些句子变成疑问句:Wie heißt du?,Wie alt bist du?,Wo wohnst du?,Woher kommst du?。大声练习这些小对话,增强开口信心。

6. Family & Descriptions | 家庭与描述

Talking about your family is a core topic. Key vocabulary includes: die Mutter (mother), der Vater (father), die Schwester (sister), der Bruder (brother), die Großmutter (grandmother), der Großvater (grandfather), die Eltern (parents) and die Geschwister (siblings). Remember that Geschwister is always plural and refers to brothers and sisters together.

谈论家庭是必学话题。核心词汇包括:die Mutter(母亲)、der Vater(父亲)、die Schwester(姐妹)、der Bruder(兄弟)、die Großmutter(祖母)、der Großvater(祖父)、die Eltern(父母)和 die Geschwister(兄弟姐妹)。注意 Geschwister 永远是复数,指兄弟姐妹的总称。

To describe family members, use sein with adjectives like groß (tall), klein (small), nett (nice), lustig (funny), sportlich (sporty), ruhig (quiet). You can also use haben to talk about characteristics: Meine Schwester hat blonde Haare (My sister has blonde hair). Combine these to form richer sentences: Mein Bruder ist groß und sehr sportlich. Er hat braune Augen.

要描述家庭成员,可以用 sein 加形容词,如 groß(高)、klein(小)、nett(友善)、lustig(滑稽)、sportlich(爱运动)、ruhig(安静)。也可以用 haben 描述特征:Meine Schwester hat blonde Haare(我姐姐有金色头发)。把这些组合起来就能说更丰富的句子:Mein Bruder ist groß und sehr sportlich. Er hat braune Augen.(我哥哥很高而且很爱运动。他有一双棕色的眼睛。)

7. School Life | 学校生活

School is where you spend much of your day, so being able to talk about subjects and timetables is very useful. School subjects include: Mathe (maths), Englisch, Geschichte (history), Erdkunde (geography), Kunst (art), Musik, Sport (PE) and Naturwissenschaften (science). The verb mögen (to like) is often used: Ich mag Mathe, but Ich mag Geschichte nicht (I don’t like history).

学校生活占据了你一天的大部分时间,因此能谈论科目和课程表非常实用。学校科目有:Mathe(数学)、Englisch(英语)、Geschichte(历史)、Erdkunde(地理)、Kunst(美术)、Musik(音乐)、Sport(体育)和 Naturwissenschaften(科学)。常用动词 mögen 表达喜好:Ich mag Mathe(我喜欢数学),Ich mag Geschichte nicht(我不喜欢历史)。

You can describe your timetable using time expressions: Um 9 Uhr habe ich Mathe (At 9 o’clock I have maths). Other useful location words include die Schule (school), das Klassenzimmer (classroom), die Turnhalle (gym) and die Bibliothek (library). Learn to ask Was hast du am Montag? (What do you have on Monday?) and to answer using the days of the week.

你可以用时间表达来描述课程表:Um 9 Uhr habe ich Mathe(9点我有数学课)。其他实用地点词汇有 die Schule(学校)、das Klassenzimmer(教室)、die Turnhalle(体育馆)和 die Bibliothek(图书馆)。学会问 Was hast du am Montag?(周一你有什么课?)并用星期几来回答。

8. Hobbies & Free Time | 爱好与课余时间

Free time is a favourite topic because it allows you to talk about your interests. Common hobby verbs include: spielen (to play), lesen (to read), schwimmen (to swim), tanzen (to dance), fernsehen (to watch TV), Musik hören (to listen to music) and ins Kino gehen (to go to the cinema). Sentence examples: Ich spiele gern Fußball. (I like playing football.) Er liest gern Bücher. (He likes reading books.)

课余时间是最受欢迎的话题之一,因为它让你可以谈论自己的兴趣。常见爱好动词有:spielen(玩)、lesen(阅读)、schwimmen(游泳)、tanzen(跳舞)、fernsehen(看电视)、Musik hören(听音乐)和 ins Kino gehen(去电影院)。例句:Ich spiele gern Fußball.(我喜欢踢足球。)Er liest gern Bücher.(他喜欢读书。)

To talk about how often you do something, use adverbs of frequency: oft (often), manchmal (sometimes), nie (never), jeden Tag (every day), am Wochenende (at the weekend). Place them after the verb or at the beginning for emphasis: Am Wochenende gehe ich oft schwimmen. This structure helps you produce more natural, flowing German.

要表达做某事的频率,可以用频率副词:oft(经常)、manchmal(有时)、nie(从不)、jeden Tag(每天)、am Wochenende(在周末)。副词通常放在动词之后或句首以示强调:Am Wochenende gehe ich oft schwimmen.(周末我经常去游泳。)这个结构能让你的德语更自然流畅。

9. Food & Drink | 饮食

Food vocabulary is essential for everyday situations. Learn core items such as das Brot (bread), der Käse (cheese), die Wurst (sausage), das Obst (fruit), das Gemüse (vegetables), der Kuchen (cake). For drinks, remember das Wasser (water), der Saft (juice), die Milch (milk) and der Tee (tea). Expressing what you like to eat and drink uses gern: Ich esse gern Pizza. (I like eating pizza.) Ich trinke gern Saft. (I like drinking juice.)

食物词汇在日常生活场景中必不可少。要掌握的核心词汇有:das Brot(面包)、der Käse(奶酪)、die Wurst(香肠)、das Obst(水果)、das Gemüse(蔬菜)、der Kuchen(蛋糕)。饮料方面记住 das Wasser(水)、der Saft(果汁)、die Milch(牛奶)和 der Tee(茶)。表达饮食喜好用 gern:Ich esse gern Pizza.(我喜欢吃比萨。)Ich trinke gern Saft.(我喜欢喝果汁。)

When ordering in a café or at a market stall, you can use Ich möchte … (I would like …) or Ich nehme … (I’ll take …). Asking about prices involves Was kostet das? (How much does that cost?) and Das kostet … Euro (That costs … euros). These simple exchanges will make you feel more confident when actually using German abroad.

在咖啡馆或市场摊位点餐时,可以用 Ich möchte …(我想要……)或 Ich nehme …(我要……)。询问价格时说 Was kostet das?(这个多少钱?),回答 Das kostet … Euro(这……欧元)。掌握这些简单对话能让你在真实场景中更加自信。

10. Numbers, Dates & Time | 数字、日期与时间

Numbers are the building blocks for so many topics. Make sure you can confidently count from 1 to 100: eins, zwei, drei … zwanzig, einundzwanzig, dreißig, vierzig, fünfzig, sechzig, siebzig, achtzig, neunzig, (ein)hundert. Notice the pattern where units come before tens with ‘und’: einundzwanzig (21). This is different from English and requires regular practice.

数字是许多话题的基础。确保你能自信地从1数到100:eins, zwei, drei … zwanzig, einundzwanzig, dreißig, vierzig, fünfzig, sechzig, siebzig, achtzig, neunzig, (ein)hundert。注意个位数与十位数之间用 und 连接,并且个位在前:einundzwanzig(21)。这与英语顺序不同,需要多加练习。

For telling the time, use Wie spät ist es? (What time is it?) and answer Es ist … Uhr (It is … o’clock). To say half past, use halb plus the next hour: Es ist halb drei. (It is half past two.) Dates require ordinal numbers: Heute ist der erste Mai. (Today is the 1st of May.) Talking about birthdays is a great way to practise: Mein Geburtstag ist am dritten Juli. (My birthday is on the 3rd of July.)

询问时间用 Wie spät ist es?(几点了?),回答 Es ist … Uhr(现在是……点)。表示“半点”用 halb 加下一个整点数:Es ist halb drei.(两点半。)日期要用序数词:Heute ist der erste Mai.(今天是5月1日。)谈论生日是很好的练习方式:Mein Geburtstag ist am dritten Juli.(我的生日是7月3日。)

11. Weather & Seasons | 天气与季节

Weather is a natural conversation starter. The four seasons are der Frühling (spring), der Sommer (summer), der Herbst (autumn) and der Winter (winter). To describe the weather, use Es ist + adjective: sonnig (sunny), windig (windy), bewölkt (cloudy), regnerisch (rainy), kalt (cold), warm (warm), heiß (hot), neblig (foggy).

天气是打开话匣子的好话题。四季分别是 der Frühling(春)、der Sommer(夏)、der Herbst(秋)、der Winter(冬)。描述天气用 Es ist + 形容词结构:sonnig(晴朗)、windig(有风)、bewölkt(多云)、regnerisch(多雨)、kalt(冷)、warm(暖)、heiß(炎热)、neblig(有雾)。

Combine seasons and weather to talk about what you enjoy doing: Im Sommer ist es heiß und sonnig. Ich schwimme gern. (In summer it is hot and sunny. I like swimming.) You can also ask Wie ist das Wetter heute? (What is the weather like today?) This small talk is extremely useful and will appear in listening and speaking assessments.

把季节和天气结合起来就能谈论你喜欢做什么:Im Sommer ist es heiß und sonnig. Ich schwimme gern.(夏天又热又晴朗,我喜欢游泳。)你还可以问 Wie ist das Wetter heute?(今天天气如何?)这种日常闲聊非常实用,也经常出现在口语和听力考试中。

12. Directions & Shopping | 问路与购物

Finding your way around a German-speaking town is a vital real-world skill. Learn directional words: links (left), rechts (right), geradeaus (straight ahead). Places in town include: die Bäckerei (bakery), der Supermarkt (supermarket), das Kino (cinema), der Bahnhof (train station), das Rathaus (town hall). You can ask Entschuldigung, wo ist die Bäckerei? (Excuse me, where is the bakery?)

在德语区城镇找路是重要的实际技能。学习方向词:links(左)、rechts(右)、geradeaus(直走)。城镇地点包括:die Bäckerei(面包店)、der Supermarkt(超市)、das Kino(电影院)、der Bahnhof(火车站)、das Rathaus(市政厅)。你可以问:Entschuldigung, wo ist die Bäckerei?(请问面包店在哪里?)

Shopping vocabulary includes Ich suche … (I’m looking for …), Wie viel kostet …? (How much does … cost?), Das ist zu teuer (That is too expensive), and Ich nehme es (I’ll take it). Role-play conversations buying a snack or souvenir to build fluency. These topics tie together numbers, food vocabulary and polite phrases.

购物词汇有 Ich suche …(我在找……)、Wie viel kostet …?(……多少钱?)、Das ist zu teuer(太贵了)和 Ich nehme es(我买了)。角色扮演购买零食或纪念品的对话可以提高流利度。这些话题把数字、食物词汇和礼貌用语很好地结合了起来。
