Gamete: A sex cell (sperm in males, egg in females) containing half the normal number of chromosomes.

Conservation of mass: In a chemical reaction, the total mass of reactants equals the total mass of products.

Acid: A substance with a pH less than 7 that releases hydrogen ions (H⁺) in solution.

acid + alkali → salt + water

Force: A push or pull acting on an object, measured in newtons (N).

Energy: The capacity to do work; measured in joules (J). It can be stored or transferred but never created or destroyed.

Kinetic energy: The energy an object possesses due to its motion.
