📚 Cambridge IGCSE German Practical Assessment Key Points | 剑桥 IGCSE 德语实践考核要点

In the Cambridge IGCSE German course, the ‘practical assessment’ primarily refers to the speaking test, which evaluates your ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations. Additionally, the listening test can be seen as a practical skill, as it requires immediate comprehension of spoken language. This article focuses on the key components, assessment criteria, and preparation strategies for these practical exams, helping Year 10 students build confidence and achieve top marks.

在剑桥 IGCSE 德语课程中,“实践考核”主要指口语考试,它评估你在真实情境中进行有效沟通的能力。此外,听力测试也可视为一项实践技能,因为它要求即时理解口语。本文重点介绍这些实践考试的关键组成部分、评分标准和准备策略,帮助 Year 10 学生建立信心并取得高分。

1. What is the Practical Assessment in IGCSE German? | 什么是 IGCSE 德语实践考核?

The practical assessment in Cambridge IGCSE German consists of the speaking test (Paper 2) and the listening test (Paper 1). While the listening test is a written exam based on recordings, it is a practical skill because it mirrors real-life listening. The speaking test, however, is a live interaction with an examiner, where you demonstrate your ability to speak German in three parts: role plays, a topic conversation, and a general conversation. Both components are designed to reward effective communication rather than perfect grammar alone.

剑桥 IGCSE 德语的实践考核包括口语考试(试卷二)和听力考试(试卷一)。虽然听力考试是基于录音的笔试,但它反映的是真实生活中的听力能力,因此是一项实践技能。口语考试则是与考官的现场互动,你需要通过三个部分展示德语口语能力:角色扮演、主题对话和一般对话。这两个部分旨在奖励有效的沟通,而不仅仅是完美的语法。

2. Structure of the Speaking Test | 口语考试的结构

The speaking test lasts about 10–15 minutes and is recorded. It has three distinct tasks. Task 1 is a role play, where you respond to a situation card prepared in advance. You have about 10–12 minutes to study the card and plan your replies. Task 2 is a conversation on a topic you have studied, such as ‘School’ or ‘Holidays’. This part lasts 3–4 minutes. Task 3 is a general conversation that builds on the topic and can extend to other areas, lasting about 5 minutes. Marks are awarded for communication, linguistic knowledge, and pronunciation.

口语考试时长约为 10–15 分钟,全程录音。考试包含三个独立任务。任务一为角色扮演,你需要根据提前准备的情景卡片进行回应。你有约 10–12 分钟研究卡片并规划回答。任务二是就你学过的一个主题(如“学校”或“假期”)进行对话,时长 3–4 分钟。任务三是一般对话,它将基于该主题展开,并可能拓展到其他领域,时长约 5 分钟。评分依据沟通能力、语言知识和发音。

All tasks are assessed holistically, but the examiner also notes your fluency, spontaneity, and ability to handle unexpected questions. The recording is sent to Cambridge for moderation, so it is important to speak clearly and audibly throughout the test.

所有任务都是整体评分的,但考官也会注意你的流利度、自发性以及处理意外问题的能力。录音会发送给剑桥进行审核,因此在整个考试中清晰地、大声地讲话很重要。

3. Role Play Task | 角色扮演任务

The role play card is given to you about 10–12 minutes before the test. You must respond to the examiner’s prompts according to the situation and the suggested tasks. The role play tests your ability to ask questions, give information, and handle simple transactional language. For example, you might be asked to book a hotel room, order food in a restaurant, or ask for directions. You are expected to respond spontaneously but can refer to the card.

角色扮演卡片会在考试前约 10 至 12 分钟发给你。你必须根据情景和提示任务回应考官的提问。角色扮演考查你提问、提供信息以及运用简单事务性语言的能力。例如,你可能会被要求预订酒店房间、在餐厅点餐或问路。你需要自然地回应,但可以参照卡片上的内容。

Key phrases are essential: ‘Ich möchte…’ (I would like…), ‘Können Sie mir helfen?’ (Can you help me?), ‘Wie viel kostet…?’ (How much does… cost?). Practise these in various contexts. Also, be ready for the unexpected – the examiner may not follow the card exactly and might add an unscripted prompt to test your flexibility. If you need time to think, use fillers such as ‘Moment mal’ or ‘Lassen Sie mich überlegen’.

关键短语至关重要:“Ich möchte…”(我想要……)、“Können Sie mir helfen?”(您能帮我吗?)、“Wie viel kostet…?”(……多少钱?)。在不同情境中练习这些短语。同时,要做好应对意外的准备——考官可能不严格按照卡片进行,可能会增加即兴提问以测试你的灵活性。如果你需要时间思考,可以使用填充词,如“Moment mal”或“Lassen Sie mich überlegen”。

4. Topic Conversation | 主题对话

In Task 2, you choose a topic area from the syllabus (e.g., Home and Abroad, School Life, Health and Fitness) and engage in a discussion with the examiner. You should be prepared to answer questions, express opinions, and justify them. The examiner will ask you to describe, narrate, and give personal responses. For instance, if the topic is ‘School’, you might be asked: ‘Beschreiben Sie Ihre Schule. Was ist Ihr Lieblingsfach? Warum?’

在任务二中,你从教学大纲中选择一个主题领域(如“家与海外”、“学校生活”、“健康与健身”),并与考官进行讨论。你应该准备好回答问题、表达观点并给出理由。考官会要求你描述、叙述和发表个人看法。例如,如果主题是“学校”,你可能会被问到:“描述一下您的学校。您最喜欢的科目是什么?为什么?”

It is vital to extend answers with details and linkers such as ‘weil’ (because), ‘obwohl’ (although), ‘deshalb’ (therefore). Listen carefully to the tense used in the question and respond accordingly. If asked about a past event, use the perfect tense: ‘Ich bin mit meiner Familie gefahren.’ If asked about future plans, use ‘werden’ or present tense with a time expression: ‘Nächsten Sommer fahre ich nach Berlin.’ Building a topic-specific vocabulary list is highly recommended.

用细节和连接词(如 weil、obwohl、deshalb)扩展回答至关重要。仔细听问题所用的时态,并相应作答。如果被问及过去的事件,使用现在完成时:“Ich bin mit meiner Familie gefahren.” 如果被问及未来计划,使用“werden”或带时间表达的现在时:“Nächsten Sommer fahre ich nach Berlin.” 强烈建议建立一个主题词汇表。

Vary your adjectives. Instead of saying ‘gut’ repeatedly, use ‘großartig’, ‘interessant’, ‘langweilig’, ‘anstrengend’. Show a range of opinions: ‘Ich finde das toll, aber manchmal ist es schwierig, weil…’

丰富你的形容词。不要反复使用“gut”,而是使用“großartig”、“interessant”、“langweilig”、“anstrengend”。展示多样的观点:“我觉得那很棒,但有时很难,因为……”

5. General Conversation | 一般对话

Task 3 is a natural development from the topic conversation. The examiner may introduce related themes or move to different topic areas. This part tests your ability to handle unpredictable questions, express opinions on broader issues, and maintain a conversation. You might discuss cultural aspects, future plans, or compare your country with German-speaking countries.

任务三是从主题对话自然发展而来的。考官可能会引入相关主题或转向其他主题领域。这部分考查你处理不可预测问题、表达对更广泛问题的观点以及维持对话的能力。你可能会讨论文化方面、未来计划,或比较你的国家与德语国家。

To excel here, you need to show spontaneity and use a range of vocabulary and structures. Do not memorise whole paragraphs; instead, learn to respond flexibly. For example, if asked about ‘Umweltschutz’ (environmental protection), you could say: ‘Ich finde, dass jeder etwas tun sollte. Zum Beispiel trenne ich zu Hause den Müll.’ Then you could add: ‘Außerdem fahre ich mit dem Fahrrad, um die Umwelt zu schonen.’ This shows extended thinking.

These structures are valued highly by examiners.

使用无人称表达以显得成熟:“Es ist wichtig, dass…”、“Man sollte…”、“Es wäre besser, wenn…”。考官高度评价这些结构。

6. Assessment Criterion: Communication | 评分标准:沟通

The communication criterion measures how well you convey messages, respond to prompts, and develop ideas. You can score up to 10 marks for communication in the speaking test. High-scoring responses demonstrate clear, relevant, and extended contributions. Key indicators include: answering fully, asking clarifying questions, and taking the
