Partial fractions: A technique for breaking a rational function into simpler ‘partial’ fractions to make integration or summation easier. Usually expressed as sum of terms like A/(ax+b).

12. Hypothesis Testing | 假设检验

Significance level α: The probability of rejecting H₀ when it is true. Typical values are 0.05 or 0.01. It defines the critical region.

p-value: The probability of obtaining a result at least as extreme as the observed, assuming H₀ is true. If p-value < α, reject H₀.

Critical region: The set of values of the test statistic that leads to rejection of H₀. In a two-tailed test it is split into both tails.
