1. Articles and Nouns | 冠词与名词
French nouns are always preceded by an article, and they possess a grammatical gender — masculine or feminine — which affects the form of articles and adjectives. The definite article (the) and the indefinite article (a/an/some) must agree in gender and number with the noun they modify.
法语名词前总是有冠词,并且具有语法性别——阳性或阴性——这影响冠词和形容词的形式。定冠词和不定冠词必须在性和数上与所修饰的名词保持一致。
Definite articles: ‘le’ (masculine singular), ‘la’ (feminine singular), ‘l” (before vowel or silent h), ‘les’ (plural). For example, le livre, la table, l’ami, les enfants.
定冠词:le(阳性单数)、la(阴性单数)、l’(元音或哑音 h 前)、les(复数)。如 le livre(书),la table(桌子),l’ami(朋友),les enfants(孩子们)。
Indefinite articles: ‘un’ (masc. sing.), ‘une’ (fem. sing.), ‘des’ (plural). They are used when referring to a non-specific item or a group of unspecified entities.
不定冠词:un(阳性单数)、une(阴性单数)、des(复数)。用于指非特指物品或未指定的群体。
The partitive articles ‘du’, ‘de la’, ‘de l”, ‘des’ express an unspecified quantity of something, similar to ‘some’ or ‘any’. After a negative expression, the partitive becomes ‘de’ or ‘d”.
部分冠词 du、de la、de l’、des 表示不确定的量,类似于“一些”。在否定表达之后,部分冠词变为 de 或 d’。
Nouns form the plural usually by adding -s. However, nouns ending in -au, -eau, -eu often take -x, and those in -al change to -aux. For instance, un cheval → des chevaux.
名词复数通常加 -s。但以 -au、-eau、-eu 结尾的名词常加 -x,以 -al 结尾的变为 -aux。例如 un cheval → des chevaux(马)。
2. Adjectives | 形容词
French adjectives generally agree in gender and number with the noun they describe, and most are placed after the noun. A small group of common adjectives, however, precede the noun.
法语形容词通常与所修饰的名词在性和数上保持一致,且多数置于名词之后。但有一小部分常用形容词前置。
Regular feminine formation: add -e to the masculine form (grand → grande), with adjustments for endings like -eux → -euse (heureux → heureuse) and -if → -ive (sportif → sportive).
规则阴性形式:在阳性形式后加 -e(如 grand → grande),需注意词尾变化如 -eux → -euse(heureux → heureuse)和 -if → -ive(sportif → sportive)。
Adjectives that precede the noun often describe beauty, age, goodness, or size (BAGS): beau, joli, jeune, vieux, nouveau, bon, mauvais, grand, petit. For example, une belle maison, un vieil homme.
前置形容词常描述美丑、年龄、好坏或大小(BAGS 规则):beau, joli, jeune, vieux, nouveau, bon, mauvais, grand, petit。如 une belle maison(漂亮的房子),un vieil homme(一位老人)。
Irregular adjectives include ‘beau’ which becomes ‘bel’ before a masculine vowel sound, ‘nouveau’ → ‘nouvel’, and ‘vieux’ → ‘vieil’. The plural of ‘beau’ is ‘beaux’.
不规则形容词包括 beau 在阳性元音前变为 bel, nouveau 变为 nouvel, vieux 变为 vieil。beau 的复数为 beaux。
3. The Present Tense (Le Présent) | 现在时
The present tense is used to describe current actions, habitual events, and general truths. It is essential to master the conjugation patterns of regular -er, -ir, and -re verbs, along with key irregular verbs.
现在时用于描述当前动作、习惯性事件和普遍真理。掌握规则 -er、-ir、-re 动词的变位模式以及关键不规则动词至关重要。
For regular -er verbs (e.g., parler): remove -er and add -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent. For -ir verbs (e.g., finir): remove -ir and add -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent. For -re verbs (e.g., vendre): remove -re and add -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent.
对于规则 -er 动词(如 parler):去掉 -er 加 -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent。-ir 动词(如 finir):去掉 -ir 加 -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent。-re 动词(如 vendre):去掉 -re 加 -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent。
| Verb | je | tu | il/elle | nous | vous | ils/elles |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| avoir | ai | as | a | avons | avez | ont |
4. The Perfect Tense (Le Passé Composé) | 复合过去时
The passé composé expresses completed actions in the past. It is formed with the present tense of ‘avoir’ or ‘être’ as an auxiliary verb plus the past participle of the main verb.
复合过去时表达过去已完成的动作。由助动词 avoir 或 être 的现在时加主要动词的过去分词构成。
Most verbs use ‘avoir’. The past participle for -er verbs ends in -é (parlé), for -ir verbs in -i (fini), and for -re verbs in -u (vendu). Many irregular past participles must be memorised, e.g., eu (avoir), été (être), fait (faire), pris (prendre).
大多数动词使用 avoir 作助动词。-er 动词的过去分词以 -é 结尾(parlé),-ir 动词以 -i 结尾(fini),-re 动词以 -u 结尾(vendu)。不规则过去分词需记忆,如 eu (avoir), été (être), fait (faire), pris (prendre)。
Verbs that use ‘être’ are often intransitive verbs of motion or state, remembered by the acronym DR MRS VANDERTRAMP (e.g., aller, venir, arriver, partir, entrer, sortir, monter, descendre, naître, mourir, rester, tomber, retourner). All reflexive verbs also take ‘être’.
使用 être 作助动词的通常是表示运动或状态变化的不及物动词,可借助 DR MRS VANDERTRAMP 记忆(如 aller, venir, arriver, partir, entrer, sortir, monter, descendre, naître, mourir, rester, tomber, retourner)。所有反身动词也使用 être。
With ‘être’, the past participle agrees in gender and number with the subject: elle est allée, nous sommes partis. With ‘avoir’, agreement occurs with a preceding direct object: les pommes que j’ai mangées.
使用 être 时,过去分词需与主语的性和数配合:elle est allée, nous sommes partis。使用 avoir 时,如果直接宾语前置,需要配合:les pommes que j’ai mangées(我吃掉的苹果)。
5. The Imperfect Tense (L’Imparfait) | 未完成过去时
The imperfect tense describes ongoing, habitual or descriptive past actions without a definite endpoint. It is a vital tool for setting the scene and talking about what used to happen.
未完成过去时描述过去持续、习惯性或描述性的动作,没有明确的结束点。它是铺垫场景、谈论过去常发生事情的重要时态。
Formation: take the ‘nous’ form of the present tense, remove -ons, and add the endings -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient. The only exception is être, whose stem is ét- (j’étais, tu étais, etc.).
构成:取现在时 nous 形去掉 -ons,加上词尾 -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient。唯一的例外是 être,其词干为 ét-(j’étais, tu étais 等)。
Common uses include: describing people, places, weather (Il faisait beau), habitual actions (Tous les étés, nous allions à la mer), and mental/emotional states (Je me sentais fatigué). It often appears alongside the passé composé to contrast ongoing and completed actions.
常见用法包括:描述人、地点、天气(Il faisait beau 天气很好)、习惯性动作(Tous les étés, nous allions à la mer 每年夏天我们都去海边)以及心理或情感状态(Je me sentais fatigué 我感到疲惫)。它常与复合过去时一起使用,对比持续与完成的动作。
6. The Future and Conditional Tenses | 将来时与条件式
There are two ways to express the future in French: the near future (le futur proche), formed with ‘aller’ + infinitive, and the simple future (le futur simple), which is used for more formal or distant events.
法语有两种表达将来的方式:最近将来时(le futur proche),由 aller + 不定式构成,以及简单将来时(le futur simple),用于更正式或较远的事件。
The near future is straightforward: Je vais regarder un film (I am going to watch a film). The simple future adds endings -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont to the infinitive stem. For -re verbs, drop the final -e. Irregular stems include ser- (être), aur- (avoir), fer- (faire), ir- (aller).
最近将来时很简单:Je vais regarder un film(我将要看电影)。简单将来时在不定式词干上加词尾 -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont。以 -re 结尾的动词去掉词尾 e。不规则词干包括 ser- (être), aur- (avoir), fer- (faire), ir- (aller)。
The conditional present is formed by adding the imperfect endings (-ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient) to the same stem as the simple future. It expresses what would happen, polite requests (Je voudrais), or hypothetical situations often after ‘si’ clauses.
条件式现在时由简单将来时的词干加上未完成过去时的词尾构成。它表达“会怎样”、礼貌请求(Je voudrais)或 si 从句后的假设情况。
In ‘si’ clauses, when the si clause is in the imperfect, the main clause uses the conditional: Si j’avais de l’argent, je voyagerais (If I had money, I would travel).
在 si 从句中,当 si 从句用未完成过去时,主句用条件式:Si j’avais de l’argent, je voyagerais(如果我有钱,我会去旅行)。
7. The Subjunctive Mood (Le Subjonctif) | 虚拟式
The subjunctive mood is used to express doubt, necessity, emotion, desire, or uncertainty, and it typically appears in subordinate clauses introduced by ‘que’. It is not a tense but a mood, most commonly used in the present subjunctive.
虚拟式用于表达怀疑、必要性、情感、愿望或不确定性,通常出现在由 que 引导的从句中。它不是时态而是一种语式,最常用的是现在时虚拟式。
Form the present subjunctive by taking the third person plural (ils/elles) of the present indicative, dropping -ent, and adding -e, -es, -e, -ions, -iez, -ent.
Triggers include expressions like il faut que (it is necessary that), bien que (although), pour que (so that), avant que (before), and verbs expressing emotion such as être content que (to be happy that). The subjunctive is not used after expressions of certainty like ‘je sais que’.
触发虚拟式的表达包括 il faut que(必须)、bien que(尽管)、pour que(为了)、avant que(在…之前)以及表达情感的动词如 être content que(很高兴…)。在表示确定性的表达如“je sais que”后不用虚拟式。
8. Pronouns (Les Pronoms) | 代词
Pronouns in French replace nouns to avoid repetition, and they follow strict placement rules. Direct and indirect object pronouns precede the verb, except in affirmative commands where they follow and are attached by hyphens.
法语中的代词用于代替名词以避免重复,并遵循严格的语序规则。直接和间接宾语代词置于动词之前,除了在肯定命令式中,它们跟在动词后面并用连字符连接。
Direct object pronouns: me (m’), te (t’), le/la (l’), nous, vous, les. Example: Je le vois (I see him/it). Indirect object pronouns: me (m’), te (t’), lui, nous, vous, leur. Example: Je lui parle (I speak to him/her).
直接宾语代词:me (m’)、te (t’)、le/la (l’)、nous、vous、les。如 Je le vois(我看见他/它)。间接宾语代词:me (m’)、te (t’)、lui、nous、vous、leur。如 Je lui parle(我对他/她说话)。
The adverbial pronouns ‘y’ (replacing à + place or thing) and ‘en’ (replacing de + noun) are placed before the verb: J’y vais, J’en veux. In double pronoun sequences, the order is: me/te/se/nous/vous → le/la/les → lui/leur → y → en.
副代词 y(代替 à + 地点或事物)和 en(代替 de + 名词)置于动词之前:J’y vais(我去那里),J’en veux(我想要一些)。在双重代词中,顺序为:me/te/se/nous/vous → le/la/les → lui/leur → y → en。
Stressed pronouns (moi, toi, lui, elle, nous, vous, eux, elles) are used after prepositions, for emphasis, or in comparisons: C’est pour moi, Je pense à lui.
重读代词(moi, toi, lui, elle, nous, vous, eux, elles)用于介词后、强调或比较:C’est pour moi(这是给我的),Je pense à lui(我想着他)。
9. Negation and Interrogation | 否定与疑问
Negation in French typically involves two parts surrounding the conjugated verb. The main negative structures include ne … pas, ne … jamais (never), ne … plus (no longer), ne … rien (nothing), ne … personne (no one), and ne … que (only).
法语中的否定通常由两部分围绕变位动词构成。主要否定结构包括 ne … pas、ne … jamais(从不)、ne … plus(不再)、ne … rien(没有什么)、ne … personne(没有人),以及 ne … que(仅仅)。
In the passé composé, the second part of the negation usually follows the auxiliary, with the exception of ‘personne’ which comes after the past participle: Je n’ai rien vu, but Je n’ai vu personne.
在复合过去时中,否定的第二部分通常跟在助动词后,但 personne 除外,它放在过去分词之后:Je n’ai rien vu(我什么也没看见),但 Je n’ai vu personne(我谁也没看见)。
There are three ways to ask a question: raising intonation (Tu viens ?), using ‘est-ce que’ (Est-ce que tu viens ?), and inversion (Viens-tu ?). Inversion is more formal and is common in writing.
提问有三种方式:提升语调(Tu viens ?)、使用 est-ce que(Est-ce que tu viens ?)以及倒装(Viens-tu ?)。倒装更为正式,常见于书面语。
Question words like où (where), quand (when), comment (how), pourquoi (why), qui (who), que/qu’est-ce que (what) can be placed at the start or used with est-ce que or inversion: Où habites-tu ?, Qu’est-ce que tu fais ?
疑问词如 où(哪里)、quand(何时)、comment(如何)、pourquoi(为什么)、qui(谁)、que/qu’est-ce que(什么)可置于句首,或与 est-ce que 或倒装搭配:Où habites-tu ?(你住在哪里?),Qu’est-ce que tu fais ?(你在做什么?)
10. Comparatives and Superlatives | 比较级与最高级
Comparatives allow you to compare two elements using plus … que (more than), moins … que (less than), or aussi … que (as … as). The adjective or adverb is placed between the comparative word and ‘que’.
比较级用于比较两个事物,使用 plus … que(比…更)、moins … que(不如…)或 aussi … que(和…一样)。形容词或副词置于比较词与 que 之间。
Examples: Marie est plus grande que Paul (Marie is taller than Paul). Cette voiture est moins chère que l’autre (This car is less expensive than the other one). Il court aussi vite que son frère (He runs as fast as his brother).
例句:Marie est plus grande que Paul(玛丽比保尔高)。Cette voiture est moins chère que l’autre(这辆车比那辆便宜)。Il court aussi vite que son frère(他跑得和他兄弟一样快)。
The superlative expresses the highest or lowest degree using le/la/les plus or le/la/les moins before the adjective. The adjective usually agrees and may be placed before or after the noun according to normal rules.
最高级用 le/la/les plus 或 le/la/les moins 加形容词来表达最高或最低程度。形容词通常需要配合,并按照常规规则置于名词前或后。
Irregular comparatives and superlatives: bon → meilleur (better), le meilleur (the best); bien → mieux (better), le mieux (the best); mauvais can be pire or plus mauvais.
不规则的比较级和最高级:bon → meilleur(更好),le meilleur(最好);bien → mieux(更好),le mieux(最好);mauvais 可以用 pire 或 plus mauvais。
