1. Why a Summer Bridging Course Matters |

Taking a break is essential, but language skills can fade quickly without regular use. A summer bridging programme prevents the ‘summer slide’ by keeping French active in your daily routine. It also helps you review themes from KS3 and bridge the gap to the more advanced GCSE content. Starting early reduces anxiety and builds momentum, allowing you to approach Year 11 with a solid grasp of high-frequency vocabulary and grammar.

Moreover, AQA GCSE French has four exam papers, each testing different skills. A summer course lets you practise each skill gradually, without the pressure of term-time deadlines. You can focus on weaknesses, explore authentic resources, and build a personal revision toolkit.
