📚 KS3 CCEA German: Quick-Reference Formula Handbook | KS3 CCEA 德语:公式定理速查手册

Welcome to your go-to formula handbook for KS3 German. Just like mathematics, German has its own set of ‘formulas’ – reliable patterns that help you build sentences, choose the right articles, and use verbs correctly. By treating grammar rules as formulas, you can reduce mistakes and gain confidence. This guide breaks down the most important structures you need to succeed in the CCEA KS3 German course, with clear examples and bilingual explanations.

欢迎使用这本 KS3 德语公式速查手册。就像数学一样,德语也有自己的一套“公式”——即那些可依靠的规律,能帮助你构建句子、选用正确的冠词和准确使用动词。把语法规则当作公式来学习,可以减少错误并建立信心。本指南分解了 CCEA KS3 德语课程所需的最重要结构,并配有清晰的示例和双语解释。

1. The Verb Second Rule in Main Clauses | 主句动词第二位规则

The most fundamental formula in German word order: in a main clause, the conjugated verb is always the second element. The first element can be the subject, a time expression, an adverb, or even an object. Everything else then follows.

德语词序中最基本的公式是:在主句中,变位动词始终是第二个成分。第一个成分可以是主语、时间状语、副词甚至宾语。其余成分再依次排列。

Formula: [Position 1] + Verb (conjugated) + Subject + other elements

公式:[第一位] + 变位动词 + 主语 + 其他成分

Example: Ich spiele am Samstag Fußball. (I play football on Saturday.) If we move ‘Am Samstag’ to position 1: Am Samstag spiele ich Fußball. The verb ‘spiele’ remains second.

示例:Ich spiele am Samstag Fußball.(我周六踢足球。)如果把“Am Samstag”移到第一位则变成:Am Samstag spiele ich Fußball. 动词“spiele”仍然在第二位。

This rule applies to statements and to ‘W-Fragen’ (questions with a question word) when the question word is in first position, verb second. But in yes/no questions, the verb goes first.

此规则适用于陈述句和特殊疑问句(W-Fragen),此时疑问词在第一位,动词在第二位。但在一般疑问句中,动词置于第一位。

2. Noun Genders – Der, Die, Das | 名词性 – der、die、das

Every German noun has a gender: masculine, feminine, or neuter. The definite article (the) must agree: der (m), die (f), das (n). This is like a fixed atomic number for each element – it must be memorised.

每个德语名词都有一个语法性别:阳性、阴性或中性。定冠词(英语的 the)必须与之匹配:der(阳)、die(阴)、das(中)。这就像每个元素的固定原子序数,必须熟记。

Formula: der + masculine noun, die + feminine noun, das + neuter noun

公式:der + 阳性名词,die + 阴性名词,das + 中性名词

Some patterns help: nouns ending in -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -tion are feminine (die). Nouns ending in -chen or -lein are neuter (das). Many nouns ending in -er are masculine (der). But exceptions exist, so always learn the article with the noun.

一些规律可以提供帮助:以 -ung、-heit、-keit、-schaft、-tion 结尾的名词是阴性(die);以 -chen 或 -lein 结尾的是中性(das);很多以 -er 结尾的是阳性(der)。但有例外,因此要始终连同冠词一起记忆。

3. Plural Forms of Nouns – Five Main Patterns | 名词复数 – 五大模式

German plurals are formed in several ways. You can think of each plural ending as a formula applied to the singular. The five main patterns are: -e, -er, -(e)n, -s, and no ending (sometimes with umlaut).

德语复数的构成方式有多种。可以把每种复数词尾当作一个施加于单数形式的公式。五大主要模式是:-e, -er, -(e)n, -s 和无词尾(有时伴有变音)。

Pattern / 模式 Example (Singular → Plural) / 示例(单数 → 复数)
+(e) + umlaut der Stuhl → die Stühle (chair)
+er + umlaut das Kind → die Kinder (child)
+(e)n die Frau → die Frauen (woman)
+s das Auto → die Autos (car)
no ending (umlaut only) der Bruder → die Brüder (brother)

Remember: the definite article in the plural is always die for all genders. Learn the plural with the noun as a set formula.

记住:复数的定冠词在所有性中都是 die。把复数形式和名词一起作为套公式来学习。

4. Present Tense Conjugation – Regular Verbs | 现在时变位 – 规则动词

The present tense of regular verbs follows a clear stem + ending pattern. The stem is the infinitive minus -en (e.g. spielen → spiel-). The endings are added like a mathematical series.

规则动词的现在时遵循清晰的词干+词尾模式。词干 = 不定式去掉 -en(如 spielen → spiel-)。然后像数学数列一样加上词尾。

Formula: Stem + e, st, t, en, t, en (for ich, du, er/sie/es, wir, ihr, sie/Sie)

公式:词干 + e, st, t, en, t, en(分别对应 ich, du, er/sie/es, wir, ihr, sie/Sie)

Example: spielen → ich spiele, du spielst, er spielt, wir spielen, ihr spielt, sie spielen. Note: if the stem ends in -d or -t (e.g. arbeiten), insert an -e- before the -st and -t endings: du arbeitest, er arbeitet.

示例:spielen → ich spiele, du spielst, er spielt, wir spielen, ihr spielt, sie spielen. 注意:若词干以 -d 或 -t 结尾(如 arbeiten),要在 -st 和 -t 词尾前加 -e-:du arbeitest, er arbeitet。

5. Present Tense – Sein and Haben | 现在时 – sein 和 haben

The two most essential irregular verbs are sein (to be) and haben (to have). They do not follow regular patterns; their forms must be treated as unique constants.

两个最根本的不规则动词是 sein(是)和 haben(有)。它们的变位不遵循规则模式,必须视为独特的常数来记忆。

Pronoun / 人称代词 sein / 是 haben / 有
ich bin habe
du bist hast
er/sie/es ist hat
wir sind haben
ihr seid habt
sie/Sie sind haben

These two verbs are used constantly: ich bin 12 Jahre alt (I am 12 years old), er hat eine Katze (he has a cat).

这两个动词的使用频率极高:ich bin 12 Jahre alt(我12岁),er hat eine Katze(他有一只猫)。

6. The Accusative Case – Der-Words Become Den | 宾格 – der 类词变为 den

When a masculine noun is the direct object of a sentence, the masculine definite article changes from der to den. Feminine, neuter, and plural articles remain unchanged in the accusative.

当阳性名词充当句子的直接宾语时,阳性定冠词由 der 变为 den。阴性、中性和复数冠词在宾格中保持不变。

Formula: Der → Den (accusative masculine); ein → einen (indefinite); kein → keinen (negative)

公式:der → den(宾格阳性);ein → einen(不定冠词);kein → keinen(否定冠词)

Example: Ich sehe den Mann. (I see the man.) Er hat einen Hund. (He has a dog.) Sie kauft keinen Apfel. (She is not buying an apple.) This formula applies only to masculine nouns in the accusative.

示例:Ich sehe den Mann.(我看见了那个男人。)Er hat einen Hund.(他有一只狗。)Sie kauft keinen Apfel.(她不买苹果。)这个公式仅适用于宾格中的阳性名词。

7. The Dative Case – Indirect Object | 与格 – 间接宾语

The dative case marks the indirect object (to/for whom?). The articles change more dramatically here. A simple formula: masculine and neuter add -m, feminine changes to -r, plural adds -n to the article and often to the noun.

与格表示间接宾语(向/为谁?)。在此格中冠词变化更加明显。一个简易公式:阳性和中性加 -m,阴性变为 -r,复数冠词加 -n 且名词通常也加 -n。

Formula: dem (m./n.), der (f.), den (pl. + noun ending -n) / einem, einer, keinen + -n on plural noun

公式:dem(阳/中),der(阴),den(复 + 名词词尾 -n) / einem, einer, keinen + 复数名词加 -n

Example: Ich gebe dem Lehrer das Buch. (I give the teacher the book.) Das Kind hilft der Frau. (The child helps the woman.) Er spricht mit den Kindern. (He speaks with the children.) The dative plural noun usually adds -n unless it already ends in -s or -n.

示例:Ich gebe dem Lehrer das Buch.(我把书给老师。)Das Kind hilft der Frau.(孩子帮助那位女士。)Er spricht mit den Kindern.(他和孩子们说话。)与格复数名词通常要加 -n,除非它本来以 -s 或 -n 结尾。

8. Word Order with Time, Manner, Place (TMP) | 时间、方式、地点词序

When you have several pieces of information about time, manner, and place, German observes a fixed sequence: Time first, then Manner, then Place. This formula allows you to arrange your adverbs logically.

当你同时表达时间、方式和地点信息时,德语遵循一个固定顺序:时间在前,其次是方式,最后是地点。这个公式帮你合乎逻辑地排列副词。

Formula: Time + Manner + Place (wann? wie? wo?)

公式:时间 + 方式 + 地点(何时?如何?哪里?)

Example: Ich fahre am Sonntag mit dem Bus in die Stadt. (I go by bus to the town on Sunday.) ‘Am Sonntag’ = time, ‘mit dem Bus’ = manner, ‘in die Stadt’ = place. This sequence remains even if the time expression moves to position 1: Am Sonntag fahre ich mit dem Bus in die Stadt.

示例:Ich fahre am Sonntag mit dem Bus in die Stadt.(我周日坐公交车去城里。)“am Sonntag”= 时间,“mit dem Bus”= 方式,“in die Stadt”= 地点。即使时间短语移到第一位,这个顺序也不变:Am Sonntag fahre ich mit dem Bus in die Stadt.

9. Modal Verbs – The Sentence Frame | 情态动词 – 句框结构

Modal verbs such as möchten (would like), können (can), müssen (must) create a special frame: the modal verb is conjugated and goes in second position, while the main verb goes to the end as an infinitive.

情态动词如 möchten(想要)、können(能)、müssen(必须)构成一个特殊的框架:情态动词变位后位于第二位,而主要动词以不定式形式甩到句尾。

Formula: Subject + modal verb (conjugated) + (other info) + infinitive verb at the end

公式:主语 + 情态动词(变位)+(其他信息)+ 不定式动词(句尾)

Example: Ich möchte ein Eis essen. (I would like to eat an ice cream.) Du kannst gut schwimmen. (You can swim well.) Wir müssen um 8 Uhr aufstehen. (We must get up at 8 o’clock.) Notice the conjugated modal (möchte, kannst, müssen) stays in V2 position, and the main verb infinitive kicks to the end.

示例:Ich möchte ein Eis essen.(我想吃一个冰淇淋。)Du kannst gut schwimmen.(你游泳游得好。)Wir müssen um 8 Uhr aufstehen.(我们必须8点起床。)注意变位的情态动词(möchte, kannst, müssen)保持在动词第二位,而不定式主动词推到句末。

10. Question Formulas – W-Fragen and Yes/No | 疑问句公式 – 特殊疑问句和一般疑问句

There are two basic question formulas. W-Fragen (information questions) use a question word followed by the verb + subject. Yes/no questions simply invert subject and verb – verb goes first.

有两种基本的疑问句公式。特殊疑问句(W-Fragen)用疑问词开头,后面接动词 + 主语。一般疑问句只需将主语和动词颠倒位置——动词在第一位。

Formula 1: Question word + verb + subject + …? (Wer, Was, Wo, Wann, Warum, Wie)

公式1:疑问词 + 动词 + 主语 + …?(谁,什么,哪里,何时,为什么,怎样)

Example: Wo wohnst du? (Where do you live?) Wann beginnt der Film? (When does the film start?)

示例:Wo wohnst du?(你住在哪里?)Wann beginnt der Film?(电影什么时候开始?)

Formula 2: Verb + subject + …? (Yes/No question)

公式2:动词 + 主语 + …?(一般疑问句)

Example: Spielst du Klavier? (Do you play the piano?) Hat er ein Fahrrad? (Does he have a bike?)

示例:Spielst du Klavier?(你会弹钢琴吗?)Hat er ein Fahrrad?(他有自行车吗?)

11. Negation with Nicht and Kein | 否定 – nicht 和 kein

German uses two main negation formulas. Nicht negates verbs, adjectives, adverbs, or whole sentences and is usually placed right before the element you want to negate or at the end of the clause. Kein negates a noun with an indefinite article or no article (equivalent to ‘not a’ or ‘no’).

德语使用两个主要的否定公式。Nicht 用于否定动词、形容词、副词或整个句子,通常放在被否定成分的前面或从句末。Kein 用于否定带有不定冠词或无冠词的名词(相当于“没有一个”或“没有”)。

Formula for nicht: … nicht + element / end position (for verbs)

nicht 的公式:… nicht + 成分 / 句末(针对动词)

Example: Ich verstehe das nicht. (I don’t understand that.) Das ist nicht groß. (That is not big.)

示例:Ich verstehe das nicht.(我不懂。)Das ist nicht groß.(那不大。)

Formula for kein: kein + noun (adapted to case, gender, and number)

kein 的公式:kein + 名词(随格、性和数变化)

Example: Ich habe kein Geld. (I have no money.) Er hat keinen Bruder. (He does not have a brother.) Kein takes the same endings as ein.

示例:Ich habe kein Geld.(我没有钱。)Er hat keinen Bruder.(他没有兄弟。)kein 的词尾变化与 ein 相同。

12. Possessive Adjectives – The ‘Mein/Dein’ Formula | 物主形容词 – “mein/dein” 公式

Possessive adjectives like mein (my), dein (your), sein (his), ihr (her), unser (our), euer (your pl.), ihr/Ihr (their/your formal) follow the same ending formula as ein and kein. They change to agree with the noun’s gender, case, and number.

物主形容词如 mein(我的)、dein(你的)、sein(他的)、ihr(她的)、unser(我们的)、euer(你们的)、ihr/Ihr(他们的/您们的)遵循与 einkein 相同的词尾公式。它们根据名词的性、格和数进行变化。

Formula: Possessive base + (ending like ein/kein) + noun

公式:物主词干 + (ein/kein 式词尾) + 名词

Example: mein Vater (my father, nominative masculine, no ending); meine Mutter (my mother, feminine, add -e); mein Buch (my book, neuter, no ending); meine Freunde (my friends, plural, add -e). In accusative masculine: Ich sehe meinen Bruder. (I see my brother.) The form behaves exactly like einen.

示例:mein Vater(我的父亲,阳性第一格,无词尾);meine Mutter(我的母亲,阴性,加 -e);mein Buch(我的书,中性,无词尾);meine Freunde(我的朋友们,复数,加 -e)。在宾格阳性:Ich sehe meinen Bruder.(我看见我的兄弟。)其形式完全仿照 einen

Because the base unser and euer sometimes drop a letter before adding an ending, treat them carefully: unsere Katze (our cat), eure Lehrerin (your teacher, pl. familiar).

由于 unsereuer 在加词尾时有时会省略一个字母,需留意:unsere Katze(我们的猫),eure Lehrerin(你们的老师)。
