📚 KS3 OCR Spanish: Language Rules & Formulas Quick Reference Handbook | KS3 OCR 西班牙语:语言规则与公式速查手册

Welcome to your quick reference handbook for KS3 OCR Spanish. In this guide, ‘formulas’ means the core grammar rules and patterns you need to master, just like formulas in maths or science. Learning these essential structures will help you build accurate sentences and speak with confidence.

欢迎使用 KS3 OCR 西班牙语速查手册。本指南中的“公式”指的是你必须掌握的核心语法规则和句型,就像数学或科学中的公式一样。学习这些基本结构将帮助你构建正确的句子并自信表达。

1. Present Tense Regular Verbs (-ar, -er, -ir) | 现在时规则动词变位 (-ar, -er, -ir)

Regular present tense verbs follow a set pattern based on their infinitive ending. Here are the endings for -ar, -er, and -ir verbs.

规则动词的现在时变位根据其原形结尾遵循固定模式。以下是 -ar、-er 和 -ir 动词的词尾。

Pronoun hablar (to speak) comer (to eat) vivir (to live)
yo hablo como vivo
hablas comes vives
él/ella/usted habla come vive
nosotros/as hablamos comemos vivimos
vosotros/as habláis coméis vivís
ellos/ellas/ustedes hablan comen viven

To conjugate, remove the infinitive ending (-ar, -er, -ir) and add the appropriate ending from the table. Remember that the present tense in Spanish can express both ‘I speak’ and ‘I am speaking’.

变位时,去掉原形词尾(-ar, -er, -ir),然后加上表中相应的词尾。请记住,西班牙语的现在时既可以表示“我说”,也可以表示“我正在说”。

2. Key Irregular Verbs: Ser, Estar, Tener, Ir | 核心不规则动词:Ser, Estar, Tener, Ir

These four verbs are extremely common and highly irregular. They must be memorised as they do not follow the regular patterns.

这四个动词非常常用且极不规则。它们不遵循规则变位模式,必须牢记。

Pronoun ser (to be) estar (to be) tener (to have) ir (to go)
yo soy estoy tengo voy
eres estás tienes vas
él/ella/usted es está tiene va
nosotros/as somos estamos tenemos vamos
vosotros/as sois estáis tenéis vais
ellos/ellas/ustedes son están tienen van

Ser is used for permanent characteristics, origin, time, and identity. Estar is used for location, temporary states, and the present progressive. Tener expresses possession and age (tener … años). Ir means ‘to go’ and also helps form the immediate future.

Ser 表示持久特征、来源、时间和身份。Estar 表示位置、临时状态和现在进行时。Tener 表示拥有和年龄(tener … años)。Ir 表示“去”,并用于构成近将来时。

3. Gender and Number of Nouns | 名词的性与数

Every Spanish noun has a gender: masculine or feminine. This is a grammatical label, not always related to natural gender. Most nouns ending in -o are masculine, and most ending in -a are feminine, but there are exceptions.

每个西班牙语名词都有语法性别:阳性或阴性。这是一个语法标签,并不总与自然性别有关。大多数以 -o 结尾的名词是阳性,以 -a 结尾的是阴性,但有例外。

To form the plural, add -s to nouns ending in a vowel, and -es to nouns ending in a consonant. Note that some nouns ending in -z change to -c before adding -es (e.g. lápiz → lápices).

构成复数时,以元音结尾的名词加 -s,以辅音结尾的名词加 -es。注意有些以 -z 结尾的名词在加 -es 前将 -z 变为 -c(例如 lápiz → lápices)。

Common masculine endings include -o, -or, -aje, -ma (often from Greek). Common feminine endings include -a, -ción, -sión, -dad, -tad. Memorising common noun groups helps you guess the gender of unfamiliar words.

常见的阳性词尾有 -o、-or、-aje、-ma(通常源于希腊语)。常见的阴性词尾有 -a、-ción、-sión、-dad、-tad。记忆常见的名词类别有助于你推测生词的性别。

4. Definite and Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词

Articles must agree in gender and number with the noun they precede. The definite articles (the) are: el (masculine singular), la (feminine singular), los (masculine plural), las (feminine plural).

冠词必须在性与数上与它们所修饰的名词保持一致。定冠词(the)有:el(阳性单数)、la(阴性单数)、los(阳性复数)、las(阴性复数)。

The indefinite articles (a/an/some) are: un (masculine singular), una (feminine singular), unos (masculine plural), unas (feminine plural). Unos and unas can mean ‘some’ or ‘a few’.

不定冠词(a/an/some)有:un(阳性单数)、una(阴性单数)、unos(阳性复数)、unas(阴性复数)。Unos 和 unas 可表示“一些”或“几个”。

Note the contraction rule: de + el = del, and a + el = al. These are used very frequently, so it is worth learning them early.

注意缩合规则:de + el = del,a + el = al。这些组合使用非常频繁,值得尽早掌握。

5. Adjective Agreement | 形容词与名词的一致

In Spanish, adjectives must match the nouns they describe in both gender and number. Most adjectives end in -o in the masculine singular and change to -a in the feminine singular. For plurals, add -s to the vowel endings.

在西班牙语中,形容词必须与其修饰的名词在性和数上保持一致。大多数形容词的阳性单数以 -o 结尾,阴性单数变为 -a。构成复数时,在元音结尾后加 -s。

Example: un libro interesante (an interesting book), una casa bonita (a pretty house), unos chicos altos (some tall boys), unas chicas inteligentes (some intelligent girls). Some adjectives like interesante stay the same in both masculine and feminine singular; they only change in number.

例如:un libro interesante(一本有趣的书),una casa bonita(一栋漂亮的房子),unos chicos altos(一些高个子男孩),unas chicas inteligentes(一些聪明的女孩)。像 interesante 这样的形容词在阳性与阴性单数中形式不变,仅在数上变化。

Adjectives usually come after the noun in Spanish, except for a few like bueno, malo, grande, pequeño, which can sometimes appear before for emphasis or meaning change.

西班牙语中形容词通常放在名词后,只有少数如 bueno、malo、grande、pequeño 等有时可前置以表强调或改变含义。

6. The Verb Gustar and Similar Verbs | 动词 Gustar 及类似用法

Gustar literally means ‘to be pleasing to’ and works differently from English ‘to like’. The subject is the thing liked, and the person is the indirect object. This is a key structure at KS3.

Gustar 的字面意思是“使……喜欢”,其结构与英语的“喜欢”不同。主语是喜欢的事物,而人是间接宾语。这是 KS3 阶段的关键句型。

Use me gusta + singular noun/infinitive: Me gusta el chocolate (I like chocolate). Use me gustan + plural noun: Me gustan los gatos (I like cats). The indirect object pronouns are me, te, le, nos, os, les.

用 me gusta + 单数名词/原形动词:Me gusta el chocolate(我喜欢巧克力)。用 me gustan + 复数名词:Me gustan los gatos(我喜欢猫)。间接宾语代词有 me、te、le、nos、os、les。

Other verbs that follow the same pattern include encantar (to love), interesar (to interest), doler (to hurt, o→ue stem change). For example: Me encanta bailar (I love dancing), ¿Te interesa el fútbol? (Are you interested in football?)

其他遵循相同模式的动词包括 encantar(使着迷)、interesar(使感兴趣)、doler(使疼痛,o→ue 词干变化)。例如:Me encanta bailar(我热爱跳舞),¿Te interesa el fútbol?(你对足球感兴趣吗?)

7. Immediate Future (ir + a + infinitive) | 近将来时 (ir + a + 原形动词)

The immediate future is one of the easiest ways to talk about future events in Spanish. The formula is: conjugated form of ir + a + infinitive.

近将来时是西班牙语中谈论将来事件最简单的方式之一。其公式为:ir 的适当变位 + a + 原形动词。

Example: Voy a comer (I am going to eat), Vas a estudiar (You are going to study), Vamos a jugar (We are going to play). Remember that this form is used for planned or near future actions, similar to English ‘going to’.

例如:Voy a comer(我要去吃饭了),Vas a estudiar(你要学习了),Vamos a jugar(我们要去玩了)。请记住这种形式用于计划好的或不久后的动作,类似于英语的“going to”。

This structure is extremely useful at KS3 because it allows you to express future intentions without learning a new tense ending. Just make sure you have memorised the ir conjugation from chapter 2.

这个结构在 KS3 阶段非常有用,因为它让你无需学习新的时态词尾就能表达将来打算。只需确保你已牢记第 2 节中 ir 的变位。

8. Key Prepositions: a, de, en, con, para, por | 常用介词:a, de, en, con, para, por

Prepositions are small words that show relationships of place, direction, time, and manner. These six are essential at KS3.

介词是表示地点、方向、时间和方式关系的小词。以下六个在 KS3 阶段至关重要。

a – to, at (direction or time: voy a Madrid, a las tres). de – of, from, about (el libro de Juan, soy de Londres). en – in, on, at (en la mesa, en casa, en verano). con – with (con mi amigo). para – for, in order to (un regalo para ti, para aprender). por – for, by, because of (por la mañana, gracias por).

a – 向,在(方向或时间:voy a Madrid,a las tres)。de – 的,来自,关于(el libro de Juan,soy de Londres)。en – 在……里面,在……上面,在(时间/地点:en la mesa,en casa,en verano)。con – 和,带着(con mi amigo)。para – 为了,以便(un regalo para ti,para aprender)。por – 由于,为了,在……期间(por la mañana,gracias por)。

Be careful with a and en with movement. You say entro en la clase (I enter the classroom) not ‘entro a’. Also note para vs por: para indicates purpose or destination, while por often indicates reason or means.

注意表示移动时 a 和 en 的用法。要说“entro en la clase”(我走进教室),而不是“entro a”。还要注意 para 与 por 的区别:para 表示目的或终点,而 por 常表示原因或手段。

9. Forming Questions | 疑问句的构成

In Spanish, there are three main ways to form questions: by raising intonation at the end of a statement, by inverting the subject and verb, or by using question words.

西班牙语中形成疑问句有三种主要方式:通过陈述句末尾提高语调、通过主谓倒装,或者使用疑问词。

Intonation alone: ¿Hablas español? (Do you speak Spanish?). Inversion: ¿Tiene Juan un perro? (Does Juan have a dog?). With questions words, the verb usually comes before the subject: ¿Dónde vives? (Where do you live?).

仅靠语调:¿Hablas español?(你说西班牙语吗?)。倒装:¿Tiene Juan un perro?(Juan 有狗吗?)。使用疑问词时,动词通常放在主语前:¿Dónde vives?(你住在哪里?)。

Key question words: ¿Qué? (What?), ¿Cuál? (Which?), ¿Quién? (Who?), ¿Dónde? (Where?), ¿Cuándo? (When?), ¿Por qué? (Why?), ¿Cómo? (How?), ¿Cuánto/a/os/as? (How much/many?). Always remember the opening upside-down question mark ¿.

核心疑问词:¿Qué?(什么?),¿Cuál?(哪个?),¿Quién?(谁?),¿Dónde?(哪里?),¿Cuándo?(何时?),¿Por qué?(为什么?),¿Cómo?(怎样?),¿Cuánto/a/os/as?(多少?)。请务必记住句首的倒问号 ¿。

10. Negation | 否定句

Making a sentence negative in Spanish is straightforward: simply place no before the verb. If there is an object pronoun, no still goes before it.

西班牙语的否定句十分简单:只需在动词前放置 no。如果有宾语代词,no 仍然放在它前面。

Examples: No hablo francés (I do not speak French). No me gusta el café (I do not like coffee). For negation with other negative words, use a double negative structure: No tengo nada (I have nothing), No voy nunca (I never go).

例子:No hablo francés(我不说法语)。No me gusta el café(我不喜欢咖啡)。与其他否定词连用时,使用双重否定结构:No tengo nada(我什么都没有),No voy nunca(我从不去)。

Common negative words are nada (nothing), nadie (nobody), nunca (never), tampoco (neither/either), ningún/ninguna (no, none). In Spanish, it is correct to use no … nada, which would be a double negative in English.

常见的否定词有 nada(没有任何东西),nadie(没有人),nunca(从不),tampoco(也不),ningún/ninguna(没有一个)。在西班牙语中,no … nada 是正确的,而这在英语里属于双重否定。

11. Possessive Adjectives | 物主形容词

Possessive adjectives show ownership or relationship. The short forms are the most common: mi/mis (my), tu/tus (your, singular familiar), su/sus (his, her, your formal, their), nuestro/a/os/as (our), vuestro/a/os/as (your, plural familiar).

物主形容词表示所有或关系。最常用的是短尾形式:mi/mis(我的),tu/tus(你的,单数非正式),su/sus(他的,她的,您的,他们的),nuestro/a/os/as(我们的),vuestro/a/os/as(你们的,复数非正式)。

Mi, tu, and su only change for number (mi libro, mis libros), not gender. Nuestro and vuestro agree in both gender and number with the noun they modify. Note the difference between su and sus can be ambiguous; context clarifies.

Mi、tu 和 su 只随所修饰名词的数变化(mi libro,mis libros),不随性变化。Nuestro 和 vuestro 则需在性数上保持一致。注意 su 和 sus 有时会产生歧义,需靠语境澄清。

Example sentences: Mi casa es pequeña (My house is small). Nuestros amigos son simpáticos (Our friends are nice). ¿Dónde está tu mochila? (Where is your backpack?)

例句:Mi casa es pequeña(我的房子很小)。Nuestros amigos son simpáticos(我们的朋友很友好)。¿Dónde está tu mochila?(你的背包在哪里?)

12. Key Connectors and Time Expressions | 常用连接词与时间表达

Linking words and time phrases make your Spanish flow better and help you express sequences. Learn these common ones for KS3 writing and speaking.

连接词和时间短语能让你的西班牙语更流畅,并帮助你表达顺序。熟记以下常用表达以应对 KS3 的写作和口语。

Connectors: y (and), o (or), pero (but), porque (because), también (also), sin embargo (however), entonces (then/so), así que (so/therefore), por lo tanto (therefore).

连接词:y(和),o(或者),pero(但是),porque(因为),también(也),sin embargo(然而),entonces(那么/于是),así que(所以),por lo tanto(因此)。

Time expressions: hoy (today), mañana (tomorrow), ayer (yesterday), ahora (now), después (later/afterwards), luego (then), siempre (always), a veces (sometimes), nunca (never), todos los días (every day), el fin de semana (at the weekend).

时间表达:hoy(今天),mañana(明天),ayer(昨天),ahora(现在),después(之后),luego(然后),siempre(总是),a veces(有时),nunca(从不),todos los días(每天),el fin de semana(在周末)。

Use these to build more complex sentences. For example: Me gusta el fútbol, pero no me gusta el tenis porque es difícil. Los fines de semana siempre voy al parque con mis amigos.

使用这些词来构建更复杂的句子。例如:Me gusta el fútbol, pero no me gusta el tenis porque es difícil.(我喜欢足球,但我不喜欢网球因为很难。)Los fines de semana siempre voy al parque con mis amigos.(周末我总是和朋友去公园。)
