Remember, the vanishing point always sits on the eye-level line (horizon). The closer together the vanishing points, the more dramatic the foreshortening; the further apart, the more natural the view.

6. Atmospheric Perspective Theorem | 大气透视定理

Placing key elements along the grid lines or at the intersections prevents static, centred compositions. For landscapes, align the horizon with the top or bottom third line, never the centre, to give dominance to either sky or land.
