The AQA AS Chemistry Paper 2 (7404/2), sometimes referred to as Unit 2 in the older specification, is a 90-minute written paper worth 80 marks. The June 2022 paper followed the standard structure with a multiple-choice section and structured written questions covering physical and organic chemistry, practical skills and mathematical treatment of data.

AQA AS化学卷二(7404/2)在旧版课程中常被称为Unit 2,是一份考试时长90分钟、总分80分的笔试。2022年6月试卷沿用标准结构,包含选择题和结构化简答题,考查物理化学、有机化学、实验技能以及数据处理能力。


1. Paper Structure and Command Words | 试卷结构与指令词

Paper 2 assesses your ability to recall definitions, apply concepts to unfamiliar contexts and complete multi-step calculations. Common command words include ‘state’, ‘define’, ‘give’, ‘explain’, ‘suggest’ and ‘calculate’. The mark scheme rewards precise scientific keywords, so a vague answer often scores zero even if the general idea is correct.

卷二考查你对定义的回憶、将概念应用于陌生情境以及完成多步计算的能力。常见指令词包括“陈述”“定义”“给出”“解释”“建议”和“计算”。评分标准重视精确的科学关键词,因此即使大意正确但表达模糊,通常也无法得分。

A typical practical question might ask you to explain why a polystyrene cup and lid are used in a calorimetry experiment. The expected answer refers to reducing heat loss to the surroundings and improving the accuracy of the temperature change measurement.

典型的实验题可能要求解释为什么在量热实验中使用聚苯乙烯杯和杯盖。预期答案应指出这是为了减少向环境的热量散失,并提高温度变化测量的准确性。


2. Amount of Substance and Redox | 物质的量与氧化还原

Many high-mark questions are based on the mole concept. You must be confident using the relationships n = m ÷ M, c = n ÷ V and pV = nRT. In Paper 2, gas volumes are often quoted at RTP, so use the molar gas volume 24.0 dm³ mol⁻¹ where appropriate, or apply the ideal gas equation when pressure and temperature are given in SI units.

许多高分题以摩尔概念为基础。你必须熟练运用 n = m ÷ M、c = n ÷ V 和 pV = nRT。卷二中气体体积常在室温常压条件下给出,此时应使用气体摩尔体积 24.0 dm³ mol⁻¹;若题目给出压强和温度的国际单位,则应使用理想气体方程。
