This is one of the most important foundational skills in mathematics, and it prepares young learners for the number sense they will need throughout their academic journey, including the IGCSE mathematics curriculum.

1. Counting Forward by Ones | 用一计数

Counting by ones means saying numbers in order: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and so on. When we count forward, each new number is exactly one more than the number before it. This is called the counting sequence.

用一计数就是按顺序说出数字：1、2、3、4、5，依此类推。当我们正数时，每个新数字恰好比前一个数字多一。这被称为计数序列。

For example, if we start at 1 and count by ones, we say: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. After 10, we continue to 11, 12, 13, and all the way up to 100. Each step adds exactly one more.
