8. Source Credibility: The CRAVEN Framework | 来源可信度:CRAVEN 框架

  • E – Expertise | 专业知识: Does the source have relevant training or qualifications? | 来源是否具备相关训练或资格?
  • N – Neutrality | 中立性: Does the source hold a strong bias or pre-existing agenda? | 来源是否存在强烈偏见或预设立场?

In exam answers, do not simply state ‘the source is biased.’ You must link the criterion to the specific evidence in the text and explain the direction of the bias and why it matters for the claim at issue.

考试作答时,不要只写“该来源有偏见”。你必须将标准与文中的具体证据联系起来,说明偏见的方向,以及它为何影响当前这个结论。


9. Drawing Conclusions from Complex Text | 从复杂文本中得出合理结论

A major challenge in Paper 4 is choosing the conclusion that follows necessarily from the text, without overreaching. You are choosing between alternative conclusions, only one of which captures the logical force of the passage.

Paper 4 的一大难点是选出必然能从文中推出的结论,又不能过度引申。你需要在若干备选结论中做选择,其中只有一个能准确抓住原文的逻辑力度。
