Welcome to your fast-access German grammar toolkit. Just like in maths, language has reliable formulas you can apply instantly. This handbook gathers the key rules, tables, and ‘theorems’ for Year 7 OCR German — from how to identify a noun’s gender to building your first perfect sentences.

欢迎使用你的德语语法快速查阅工具箱。就像数学一样,语言也有可以即时套用的可靠公式。这本手册汇集了7年级OCR德语关键规则、表格和“定理”——从如何判断名词词性,到构建你第一个完美的句子。

1. Noun Gender Formula | 名词词性公式

Every German noun has a gender: masculine (der), feminine (die), or neuter (das). While many need to be memorised, certain endings give you a reliable formula to guess the gender.

每个德语名词都有词性:阳性 (der)、阴性 (die) 或中性 (das)。虽然许多需要记忆,但某些词尾提供了一个可靠的公式来推测词性。

Masculine signal endings: -er, -el, -en, -ig (e.g. der Lehrer, der Vogel, der Garten, der Honig).

阳性信号词尾:-er, -el, -en, -ig (例如 der Lehrer, der Vogel, der Garten, der Honig)。

Feminine signal endings: -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -tion (e.g. die Zeitung, die Freiheit, die Freundlichkeit, die Mannschaft, die Station).

阴性信号词尾:-ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -tion (例如 die Zeitung, die Freiheit, die Freundlichkeit, die Mannschaft, die Station)。

Neuter signal endings: -chen, -lein (diminutives, e.g. das Mädchen, das Büchlein).

中性信号词尾:-chen, -lein (指小词,例如 das Mädchen, das Büchlein)。

2. Article Table: Definite and Indefinite | 冠词表格:定冠词与不定冠词

Learn the article grid like a times-table. The case system starts here: Nominative (subject) and Accusative (direct object) are your Year 7 essentials.

像乘法表一样熟记冠词网格。格系统从这里开始:主格(主语)和宾格(直接宾语)是7年级的核心内容。

Case / 格 Masculine / 阳性 Feminine / 阴性 Neuter / 中性 Plural / 复数
Nominative
def. (the) / indef. (a/an)
der / ein die / eine das / ein die / – (keine)
Accusative
def. / indef.
den / einen die / eine das / ein die / – (keine)

Formula tip: Only masculine changes in the accusative — der → den, ein → einen. Everything else stays the same as nominative.

公式提示:只有阳性在宾格中变化——der → den, ein → einen。其他所有形式与主格相同。

3. Personal Pronouns: Subject and Object | 人称代词:主语与宾语

Personal pronouns act as placeholders for nouns. You need both nominative (who does) and accusative (who is affected) versions from day one.

人称代词充当名词的占位符。从第一天起你就需要主格(谁做)和宾格(谁受影响)两种形式。

English Nominative (Subject) Accusative (Object)
I / me ich mich
you (informal singular) du dich
he / him er ihn
she / her sie sie
it / it (neuter) es es
we / us wir uns
you (plural) / you ihr euch
they / them sie sie
you (formal) / you Sie Sie

Notice that ‘sie’ (she/they) and ‘Sie’ (formal you) do not change in the accusative. The key change is masculine: er → ihn.

注意 ‘sie’(她/他们)和 ‘Sie’(尊称您)在宾格中不变化。关键变化在于阳性:er → ihn。

4. Regular Verb Formula: Present Tense | 规则动词公式:现在时

Take the infinitive stem (infinitive minus -en) and add the personal endings. This is the most important formula for Year 7 speaking and writing.

取动词词干(不定式去除 -en),加上人称词尾。这是7年级口语和写作最重要的公式。

For most verbs (e.g. spielen – to play):
Stem = spiel-

对于大多数动词(例如 spielen – 玩):
词干 = spiel-

Pronoun Ending Example: spielen
ich -e ich spiele
du -st du spielst
er/sie/es -t er spielt
wir -en wir spielen
ihr -t ihr spielt
sie/Sie -en sie spielen

Exceptions: If the stem ends in -d, -t, or -hn (e.g. arbeiten, finden), add an -e- before -st and -t: du arbeitest, er arbeitet. This keeps words pronounceable.

例外:如果词干以 -d、-t 或 -hn 结尾(如 arbeiten, finden),在 -st 和 -t 前加 -e-:du arbeitest, er arbeitet。这样可以保持单词可发音。

5. Irregular Super-Verbs: sein & haben | 不规则超级动词:sein 和 haben

Sein (‘to be’) and haben (‘to have’) are your most-used irregular verbs. Memorise them as fixed formulas — they don’t follow the regular pattern.

Sein(是)和 haben(有)是你最常使用的不规则动词。将它们作为固定公式记住——它们不遵循规则变化模式。

Pronoun sein haben
ich bin habe
du bist hast
er/sie/es ist hat
wir sind haben
ihr seid habt
sie/Sie sind haben

Example formulas: ‘Ich bin 12 Jahre alt’ (I am 12 years old). ‘Er hat eine Katze’ (He has a cat). These verb forms are non-negotiable building blocks.

例句公式:’Ich bin 12 Jahre alt’(我12岁)。’Er hat eine Katze’(他有一只猫)。这些动词形式是必须掌握的基础构建块。

6. Basic Sentence Structure: The V2 Rule | 基本句子结构:动词第二位规则

In a main clause, the conjugated verb always occupies position 2. Position 1 can be a subject, a time phrase, or another element — but the verb stays second.

在主句中,变形后的动词始终占据第二位。第一位可以是主语、时间状语或其他成分——但动词永远在第二位。

[Position 1] + [verb] + [other info]

  • Ich spiele am Samstag Fußball. (I play football on Saturday.)
  • Am Samstag spiele ich Fußball. (On Saturday I play football.)
  • Mein Bruder heißt Max. (My brother is called Max.)

Position 1 can be the subject (ich), or time (am Samstag). The verb spiele always holds the second slot. This is called the V2 theorem.

第一位可以是主语 (ich) 或时间状语 (am Samstag)。动词 spiele 始终占据第二格。这被称为 V2 定理。

7. Question Formulas: Yes/No vs W-Questions | 疑问句公式:一般疑问句与特殊疑问句

Two question types work like mini formulas. For yes/no questions, move the verb to position 1. For W-questions (using question words), the W-word takes position 1 and the verb remains in position 2.

两种疑问句类型就像迷你公式。一般疑问句中,动词移动到第一位。特殊疑问句中(使用疑问词),W-词占据第一位,动词保持在第二位。

Yes/No Formula: Verb + Subject + Rest? → Spielst du Tennis? (Do you play tennis?)

一般疑问句公式:动词 + 主语 + 其余部分?→ Spielst du Tennis?(你打网球吗?)

W-Question Formula: Question word + Verb + Subject + Rest? → Wann spielst du Tennis? (When do you play tennis?)

特殊疑问句公式:疑问词 + 动词 + 主语 + 其余部分?→ Wann spielst du Tennis?(你什么时候打网球?)

Common W-words: Was (what), Wer (who), Wo (where), Wann (when), Warum (why), Wie (how). These are your interrogative toolkit.

常见 W-词:Was(什么)、Wer(谁)、Wo(哪里)、Wann(什么时候)、Warum(为什么)、Wie(怎样)。这些就是你的疑问工具包。

8. Negation Formula: nicht & kein | 否定公式:nicht 和 kein

There are two main ways to say ‘not’. Use nicht to negate verbs, adjectives, or whole sentences. Use kein (with correct ending) to negate a noun that would have an indefinite article or no article.

表达“不”主要有两种方式。使用 nicht 否定动词、形容词或整个句子。使用 kein(带正确词尾)否定带不定冠词或无冠词的名词。

nicht placement rule: Place nicht at the end of the sentence, or just before what you want to negate. Ich spiele nicht. (I do not play.) Das ist nicht gut. (That is not good.)

nicht 位置规则:将 nicht 放在句末,或放在你想要否定的成分之前。Ich spiele nicht.(我不玩。)Das ist nicht gut.(那不好。)

kein formula: Take the ein/eine forms and add ‘k-‘ in front. Kein replaces the indefinite article.

kein 公式:取 ein/eine 形式,在前面加上 ‘k-‘。Kein 替代不定冠词。

Case Masculine Feminine Neuter Plural
Nominative kein keine kein keine
Accusative keinen keine kein keine

Example: Ich habe einen Hund → Ich habe keinen Hund. (I don’t have a dog)

例句:Ich habe einen Hund → Ich habe keinen Hund.(我没有狗)

9. Modal Verb Formula: Verb Bracket | 情态动词公式:动词括号

When you use a modal verb (dürfen, können, mögen, müssen, sollen, wollen), the modal is conjugated and goes in position 2. The main verb goes to the end in the infinitive form. This creates a ‘verb bracket’.

当你使用情态动词(dürfen, können, mögen, müssen, sollen, wollen)时,情态动词变位并放在第二位。主要动词以不定式形式放到句末。这形成了一个“动词括号”。

Formula: Subject + modal (V2) + … + main verb (infinitive).

公式:主语 + 情态动词(第二位)+ … + 主要动词(不定式)。

Example: Ich kann gut schwimmen. (I can swim well.) ‘Kann’ is V2, ‘schwimmen’ is at the end.

例句:Ich kann gut schwimmen.(我游泳游得很好。)‘Kann’ 是第二位,‘schwimmen’ 在末尾。

Modal conjugation pattern (using können): ich kann, du kannst, er kann, wir können, ihr könnt, sie können. Notice the singular mostly drops the stem vowel change in a pattern: a → a (but du and er/sie/es differ). Similar patterns apply to all modals.

情态动词变位模式(以 können 为例):ich kann, du kannst, er kann, wir können, ihr könnt, sie können。注意单数大多改变了词干元音,形成特有模式。

10. Time – Manner – Place: The Adverb Formula | 时间 – 方式 – 地点:状语公式

When you put several pieces of information in one sentence, arrange them in this order: Time (wann?) → Manner (wie?) → Place (wo?). This TeMPo rule makes your German sound natural.

当你在一个句子中放入多个信息块时,按如下顺序排列:时间(何时)→ 方式(怎样)→ 地点(哪里)。这条 TeMPo 规则会让你的德语听起来自然。

Formula: Subject + Verb + Time + Manner + Place.

公式:主语 + 动词 + 时间 + 方式 + 地点。

Example: Ich fahre morgen (time) mit dem Bus (manner) zur Schule (place). (Tomorrow I go by bus to school.)

例句:Ich fahre morgen(时间)mit dem Bus(方式)zur Schule(地点)。(我明天乘公交车去学校。)

If you start with the time phrase, the verb then follows as V2: Morgen fahre ich mit dem Bus zur Schule. The TeMPo order after the verb remains the same.

如果你以时间状语开头,动词随后作为第二位:Morgen fahre ich mit dem Bus zur Schule。动词之后的 TeMPo 顺序保持不变。

11. Adjective Endings After ‘der/die/das’ | 定冠词后的形容词词尾

After the definite article (der/die/das/die) in the nominative and accusative, the adjective usually takes a simple ‘formula’: just add -e in most cases, with -en only for masculine accusative and plural dative (not required in Year 7 but good to know).

在定冠词(der/die/das/die)后的主格和宾格中,形容词通常遵循一个简单的“公式”:大多数情况下只需加 -e,只有阳性宾格和复数额外有 -en(7年级不要求但知晓有益)。

For Year 7 focus: der gute Film (the good film), die nette Lehrerin (the nice teacher), das kleine Buch (the small book). In accusative masculine: Ich sehe den guten Film. The adjective gets -en because ‘den’ signals the change.

7年级重点是:der gute Film(好电影),die nette Lehrerin(和蔼的老师),das kleine Buch(小书)。阳性宾格中:Ich sehe den guten Film。形容词加 -en 是因为 ‘den’ 标志着变化。

Quick formula: After der/die/das, adjective ends in -e; after den, adjective ends in -en. This covers 90% of Year 7 adjective work.

快速公式:der/die/das 之后形容词以 -e 结尾;den 之后形容词以 -en 结尾。这涵盖了7年级90%的形容词用法。

12. Time Expressions and Numbers | 时间表达与数字

Numbers and time follow fixed structures. Treat these as reliable building blocks.

数字和时间遵循固定结构。将它们当作可靠的构建块来使用。

Clock time formula: Es ist … Uhr. Es ist drei Uhr (3:00). For half past, use ‘halb’ + next hour: halb vier (half past three, literally half to four).

钟点时间公式:Es ist … Uhr. Es ist drei Uhr(3点)。半点使用 ‘halb’ + 下一个小时:halb vier(三点半,字面意思为四点半)。

Days of the week: Montag, Dienstag, Mittwoch, Donnerstag, Freitag, Samstag/Sonnabend, Sonntag. Use ‘am’ for on a day: am Montag.

星期:Montag, Dienstag, Mittwoch, Donnerstag, Freitag, Samstag/Sonnabend, Sonntag。在某一天用 ‘am’:am Montag。

Month names are similar to English: Januar, Februar, März, April, Mai, Juni, Juli, August, September, Oktober, November, Dezember. Use ‘im’ for in a month: im Dezember.

月份名称与英语相似:Januar, Februar, März, April, Mai, Juni, Juli, August, September, Oktober, November, Dezember。在某月用 ‘im’:im Dezember。

Numbers 1-20: eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn, elf, zwölf, dreizehn, vierzehn, fünfzehn, sechzehn, siebzehn, achtzehn, neunzehn, zwanzig. From 21 on, the pattern is ‘ones’ + ‘und’ + ‘tens’: einundzwanzig.

数字1-20:eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn, elf, zwölf, dreizehn, vierzehn, fünfzehn, sechzehn, siebzehn, achtzehn, neunzehn, zwanzig。从21起,模式为“个位 + und + 十位”:einundzwanzig。
