1. Greetings and Personal Information | 问候与个人信息

In French, the first step is mastering greetings. ‘Bonjour’ (Hello / Good morning) and ‘Bonsoir’ (Good evening) are formal and can be used with anyone. With friends you can say ‘Salut’ (Hi / Bye). To ask how someone is, use ‘Comment allez-vous ?’ in formal situations and ‘Comment ça va ?’ or ‘Ça va ?’ informally. Typical replies are ‘Ça va bien, merci’ (I’m fine, thanks) or ‘Pas mal’ (Not bad).

在法语中,第一步是掌握问候语。“Bonjour”(你好/早上好)和“Bonsoir”(晚上好)是正式说法,对谁都可以用。和朋友在一起时可以说“Salut”(你好/再见)。询问对方过得如何,正式场合用“Comment allez-vous ?”,非正式场合用“Comment ça va ?”或“Ça va ?”。常见的回答是“Ça va bien, merci”(我很好,谢谢)或“Pas mal”(还行)。

When introducing yourself, say ‘Je m’appelle …’ (My name is …). To give your age, use the verb avoir: ‘J’ai douze ans’ (I am twelve years old). Remember, French does not use être (to be) for age. You can also say where you live: ‘J’habite à …’ (I live in …) and your nationality: ‘Je suis anglais(e)’ (I am English).

自我介绍时,说“Je m’appelle …”(我叫……)。表达年龄时要用动词avoir:“J’ai douze ans”(我十二岁)。记住,法语表达年龄不用être(是)。你还可以说明住在哪里:“J’habite à …”(我住在……)以及国籍:“Je suis anglais(e)”(我是英国人)。

Numbers 1–31 are essential for age and dates. Key numbers include: un (1), deux (2), trois (3), quatre (4), cinq (5), six (6), sept (7), huit (8), neuf (9), dix (10), onze (11), douze (12), treize (13), quatorze (14), quinze (15), seize (16), dix-sept (17), dix-huit (18), dix-neuf (19), vingt (20), vingt et un (21), vingt-deux (22), trente (30), trente et un (31).

数字1–31对表达年龄和日期至关重要。重点数字包括:un (1), deux (2), trois (3), quatre (4), cinq (5), six (6), sept (7), huit (8), neuf (9), dix (10), onze (11), douze (12), treize (13), quatorze (14), quinze (15), seize (16), dix-sept (17), dix-huit (18), dix-neuf (19), vingt (20), vingt et un (21), vingt-deux (22), trente (30), trente et un (31)。

2. Family, Descriptions and Personality | 家庭、外貌描写与性格

Family vocabulary is central to describing people. Learn the words for close family members: ma mère (my mother), mon père (my father), mon frère (my brother), ma sœur (my sister), mes parents (my parents), mon grand-père (my grandfather) and ma grand-mère (my grandmother). Note the possessive adjectives mon, ma, mes agree with the noun’s gender and number.

家庭词汇是描述人物的核心。要记住近亲的词汇:ma mère(我的母亲)、mon père(我的父亲)、mon frère(我的兄弟)、ma sœur(我的姐妹)、mes parents(我的父母)、mon grand-père(我的祖父)和ma grand-mère(我的祖母)。注意主有形容词mon、ma、mes 要和名词的性数一致。

When describing someone’s appearance, use the verb être plus an adjective: ‘Il est grand et mince’ (He is tall and slim). For hair and eyes, use avoir: ‘Elle a les cheveux longs et blonds’ (She has long, blonde hair) and ‘J’ai les yeux bleus’ (I have blue eyes). Useful adjectives must agree with the subject’s gender and number: content / contente (happy), intelligent / intelligente (intelligent), sportif / sportive (sporty), timide (shy – same form for masculine and feminine), bavard / bavarde (chatty).

描写外貌时,用动词être加形容词:“Il est grand et mince”(他高且苗条)。描写头发和眼睛用avoir:“Elle a les cheveux longs et blonds”(她有一头金色长发),“J’ai les yeux bleus”(我有蓝眼睛)。有用的形容词必须与主语的性数配合:content / contente(高兴的)、intelligent / intelligente(聪明的)、sportif / sportive(爱运动的)、timide(害羞的,阴阳性同形)、bavard / bavarde(话多的)。

You can also explain what people like to do. ‘Il aime le foot’ (He likes football) and ‘Elle déteste les maths’ (She hates maths). Use aimer, adorer, préférer and détester followed by the definite article or an infinitive. For example, ‘J’adore écouter de la musique’ (I love listening to music).

你也可以说明别人喜欢做什么。“Il aime le foot”(他喜欢足球),“Elle déteste les maths”(她讨厌数学)。使用aimer、adorer、préférer和détester后接定冠词或动词不定式。例如,“J’adore écouter de la musique”(我超爱听音乐)。

3. School Subjects and Opinions | 学校科目与看法

Year 8 learners talk about their school day. Key subjects include: le français (French), l’anglais (English), les maths (maths), l’histoire-géo (history-geography), les sciences (science), la technologie (DT), l’EPS (PE), la musique (music), le dessin (art) and l’informatique (ICT). Always use the definite article when talking about subjects in a general sense: ‘J’aime les sciences’ (I like science).

Year 8学生谈论学校生活。主要科目有:le français(法语)、l’anglais(英语)、les maths(数学)、l’histoire-géo(历史地理)、les sciences(自然科学)、la technologie(设计与技术)、l’EPS(体育)、la musique(音乐)、le dessin(美术)和l’informatique(信息技术)。泛指学科时总要使用定冠词:“J’aime les sciences”(我喜欢科学)。

Give opinions with ‘Je pense que …’ (I think that …) or simply ‘C’est …’ (It is …). Useful opinion adjectives: intéressant (interesting), ennuyeux / ennuyeuse (boring), facile (easy), difficile (difficult), utile (useful), génial (great), nul / nulle (rubbish). Remember to make the adjective agree with the subject, but in structures like ‘C’est’ plus adjective the masculine singular form is often used: ‘C’est intéressant’.

表达看法可以用“Je pense que …”(我认为……)或简单的“C’est …”(这是……)。常用的评价形容词有:intéressant(有趣的)、ennuyeux / ennuyeuse(无聊的)、facile(容易的)、difficile(困难的)、utile(有用的)、génial(超棒的)、nul / nulle(差劲的)。要记得形容词与主语配合,但在“C’est + 形容词”结构中常用阳性单数:“C’est intéressant”。

Telling the time helps describe your timetable. Use ‘À … heure(s)’ for clock times: ‘Le cours de maths commence à neuf heures’ (The maths lesson starts at nine o’clock). You also need the days of the week: lundi (Monday), mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche. Combine them: ‘Le mercredi, j’ai anglais à dix heures’ (On Wednesdays I have English at ten o’clock).

描述课表需要说时间。“À … heure(s)”表示在几点:“Le cours de maths commence à neuf heures”(数学课九点开始)。你还需要知道星期:lundi(星期一)、mardi、mercredi、jeudi、vendredi、samedi、dimanche。把两者结合:“Le mercredi, j’ai anglais à dix heures”(星期三我十点有英语课)。

4. Hobbies, Sports and Free Time | 爱好、运动与空闲时间

To talk about free time, use ‘jouer à’ + sport or game, and ‘faire de’ + activity. ‘Je joue au foot’ (I play football), ‘Je joue aux jeux vidéo’ (I play video games), ‘Je fais de la natation’ (I go swimming), ‘Je fais du vélo’ (I go cycling). The partitive article (du, de la, de l’, des) appears after faire de.

谈论空闲时间,使用“jouer à”+ 运动或游戏,以及“faire de”+ 活动。“Je joue au foot”(我踢足球)、“Je joue aux jeux vidéo”(我玩电子游戏)、“Je fais de la natation”(我游泳)、“Je fais du vélo”(我骑车)。在faire de后面要注意部分冠词(du, de la, de l’, des)的使用。

Express how often you do something using adverbs of frequency: toujours (always), souvent (often), quelquefois (sometimes), rarement (rarely), ne … jamais (never). Place the adverb right after the conjugated verb: ‘Je joue souvent au tennis’ (I often play tennis). The negative ‘ne … jamais’ wraps around the verb: ‘Je ne regarde jamais la télé’ (I never watch TV).

用频率副词表达多久做一次某事:toujours(总是)、souvent(经常)、quelquefois(有时)、rarement(很少)、ne … jamais(从不)。副词要直接放在变位动词之后:“Je joue souvent au tennis”(我经常打网球)。否定式“ne … jamais”要包围动词:“Je ne regarde jamais la télé”(我从不看电视)。

When you want to say what you like doing, use ‘J’aime’ + infinitive. ‘J’aime lire’ (I like reading), ‘J’adore danser’ (I love dancing), ‘Je n’aime pas courir’ (I don’t like running). This is one of the simplest and most useful patterns in Year 8 French.

表达喜欢做什么,用“J’aime”+ 动词原形。“J’aime lire”(我喜欢阅读)、“J’adore danser”(我超爱跳舞)、“Je n’aime pas courir”(我不喜欢跑步)。这是Year 8法语中最简单也最实用的句型之一。

5. Daily Routine and Telling the Time | 日常生活与时间表达

Reflexive verbs are needed to describe daily routine. The key verb is ‘se lever’ (to get up): ‘Je me lève à sept heures’ (I get up at seven o’clock). Others: ‘se laver’ (to wash oneself), ‘s’habiller’ (to get dressed), ‘se coucher’ (to go to bed). Don’t forget the reflexive pronoun: me, te, se, nous, vous, se.

描述日常生活要用代动词。核心动词是“se lever”(起床):“Je me lève à sept heures”(我七点起床)。其他的还有:“se laver”(洗漱)、“s’habiller”(穿衣服)、“se coucher”(上床睡觉)。不要忘记自反代词:me, te, se, nous, vous, se。

You should also be able to tell the time in full. Use the 12-hour clock: ‘Il est une heure’ (It is one o’clock), ‘Il est deux heures et demie’ (It is half past two), ‘Il est trois heures et quart’ (quarter past three), ‘Il est quatre heures moins le quart’ (quarter to four), ‘Il est midi’ (noon), ‘Il est minuit’ (midnight). To say at what time, use ‘à’: ‘à huit heures’ (at eight o’clock).

你还需要完整地表达时间。使用12小时制:“Il est une heure”(一点钟)、“Il est deux heures et demie”(两点半)、“Il est trois heures et quart”(三点一刻)、“Il est quatre heures moins le quart”(四点差一刻)、“Il est midi”(正午)、“Il est minuit”(午夜)。说在几点用“à”:“à huit heures”(在八点)。

A typical daily routine paragraph might read: ‘Le matin, je me lève à six heures et demie. Je me lave et je m’habille. Ensuite, je prends le petit déjeuner. Je vais au collège à huit heures. L’après-midi, je rentre à quatre heures et je fais mes devoirs. Le soir, je dîne et je me couche à neuf heures.’ (In the morning I get up at half past six. I wash and get dressed. Then I have breakfast. I go to school at eight o’clock. In the afternoon I come back at four o’clock and do my homework. In the evening I have dinner and go to bed at nine o’clock.)

一段典型的日常作文可以这样写:“Le matin, je me lève à six heures et demie. Je me lave et je m’habille. Ensuite, je prends le petit déjeuner. Je vais au collège à huit heures. L’après-midi, je rentre à quatre heures et je fais mes devoirs. Le soir, je dîne et je me couche à neuf heures.”(早晨我六点半起床。我洗漱、穿衣服。然后吃早饭。八点去上学。下午四点回家,做作业。晚上吃晚饭,九点睡觉。)

6. Food, Drink and Ordering in a Café | 食物、饮品和咖啡馆点餐

Food vocabulary is essential for everyday situations. Key items: le pain (bread), le fromage (cheese), le jambon (ham), la pomme (apple), la banane (banana), la tomate (tomato), les frites (chips), le poulet (chicken), le poisson (fish), le riz (rice), les pâtes (pasta), le gâteau (cake), l’eau (water – feminine), le jus d’orange (orange juice), le coca (cola), le chocolat chaud (hot chocolate). Use the partitive articles: du, de la, de l’, des when you refer to some food or drink: ‘Je mange du pain’ (I eat some bread), ‘Je bois de l’eau’ (I drink some water).

食物词汇在日常生活中必不可少。重点词汇有:le pain(面包)、le fromage(奶酪)、le jambon(火腿)、la pomme(苹果)、la banane(香蕉)、la tomate(番茄)、les frites(薯条)、le poulet(鸡肉)、le poisson(鱼)、le riz(米饭)、les pâtes(意大利面)、le gâteau(蛋糕)、l’eau(水,阴性)、le jus d’orange(橙汁)、le coca(可乐)、le chocolat chaud(热巧克力)。表示“一些”食物或饮品时用部分冠词du, de la, de l’, des:“Je mange du pain”(我吃一些面包),“Je bois de l’eau”(我喝一些水)。

When ordering in a café, use ‘Je voudrais’ (I would like) followed by the item. ‘Je voudrais un coca, s’il vous plaît’ (I would like a cola, please). If you want to say you are hungry or thirsty, use avoir: ‘J’ai faim’ (I am hungry), ‘J’ai soif’ (I am thirsty). To ask what someone wants: ‘Qu’est-ce que vous voulez ?’ or ‘Tu veux quelque chose ?’

在咖啡馆点餐,用“Je voudrais”(我想要)后接物品名称。“Je voudrais un coca, s’il vous plaît”(请给我一杯可乐)。表达饿或渴要用avoir:“J’ai faim”(我饿了)、“J’ai soif”(我渴了)。询问对方要什么:“Qu’est-ce que vous voulez ?”或“Tu veux quelque chose ?”。

Meals are le petit déjeuner (breakfast), le déjeuner (lunch), le goûter (afternoon snack) and le dîner (dinner). You can say what you eat for each meal: ‘Au petit déjeuner, je prends des céréales et un jus de fruits’ (For breakfast I have cereal and a fruit juice). The verb prendre (to take) is often used for having food or drink.

三餐是le petit déjeuner(早餐)、le déjeuner(午餐)、le goûter(下午点心)和le dîner(晚餐)。你可以分别说吃什么:“Au petit déjeuner, je prends des céréales et un jus de fruits”(早餐我吃麦片和喝果汁)。动词prendre(拿/吃)常用于表示吃或喝。

7. Places in Town, Directions and Transport | 城镇地点、问路与交通

Knowing town vocabulary helps you give and understand directions. Key places: la boulangerie (bakery), le supermarché (supermarket), la piscine (swimming pool), le cinéma (cinema), le parc (park), la gare (station), l’hôpital (hospital), le collège (school), la poste (post office), le centre-ville (town centre). Use ‘Il y a’ (there is / there are) to say what exists: ‘Il y a un cinéma près de chez moi’ (There is a cinema near my house).

掌握城镇词汇能帮你指路和问路。主要地点有:la boulangerie(面包店)、le supermarché(超市)、la piscine(游泳池)、le cinéma(电影院)、le parc(公园)、la gare(火车站)、l’hôpital(医院)、le collège(初中)、la poste(邮局)、le centre-ville(市中心)。用“Il y a”(有)表达存在什么:“Il y a un cinéma près de chez moi”(我家附近有一家电影院)。

To give directions, use the imperative and phrases such as: ‘Tournez à gauche’ (Turn left), ‘Tournez à droite’ (Turn right), ‘Allez tout droit’ (Go straight on), ‘Prenez la première rue à droite’ (Take the first street on the right), ‘C’est en face de la gare’ (It’s opposite the station), ‘C’est à côté du parc’ (It’s next to the park). You also need prepositions: à droite de, à gauche de, en face de, près de, loin de.

指路时要用命令式和相关短语:“Tournez à gauche”(左转)、“Tournez à droite”(右转)、“Allez tout droit”(直走)、“Prenez la première rue à droite”(在第一个路口右转)、“C’est en face de la gare”(在火车站对面)、“C’est à côté du parc”(在公园旁边)。你还需要介词短语:à droite de(在……右边)、à gauche de(在……左边)、en face de(在……对面)、près de(在……附近)、loin de(远离……)。

For transport, use à + vehicle or en + transport: ‘Je vais au collège à pied’ (I go to school on foot), ‘en bus’ (by bus), ‘en voiture’ (by car), ‘à vélo’ (by bike), ‘en train’ (by train). The verb aller (to go) is irregular and essential: je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va, nous allons, vous allez, ils/elles vont.

交通方式用à + 交通工具或en + 交通工具:“Je vais au collège à pied”(我步行上学)、“en bus”(乘公交)、“en voiture”(开车)、“à vélo”(骑车)、“en train”(乘火车)。动词aller(去)是不规则动词且非常重要:je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va, nous allons, vous allez, ils/elles vont。

8. Present Tense: Regular Verbs and Key Irregulars | 现在时:规则动词与重要不规则动词

The present tense is the most important grammar topic in Year 8. Regular verbs follow fixed patterns. For -er verbs, such as parler (to speak), remove -er and add -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent. For -ir verbs like finir (to finish), remove -ir and add -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent. For -re verbs like vendre (to sell), remove -re and add -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent.

现在时是Year 8最重要的语法主题。规则动词遵循固定模式。以-er结尾的动词,如parler(说),去-er后加-e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent。以-ir结尾的动词,如finir(完成),去-ir后加-is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent。以-re结尾的动词,如vendre(卖),去-re后加-s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent。

The tables below show the conjugation patterns:

下表展示变位规律:

Subject parler (to speak) finir (to finish) vendre (to sell)
je parle finis vends
tu parles finis vends
il/elle/on parle finit vend
nous parlons finissons vendons
vous parlez finissez vendez
ils/elles parlent finissent vendent

Four irregular verbs are absolutely necessary: être (to be), avoir (to have), aller (to go) and faire (to do/make). Their conjugations must be memorised.
