📚 Year 8 CCEA French: Summer Preview and Bridging Course | Year 8 CCEA 法语:暑期预习与衔接课程
Moving into Year 8 French under the CCEA curriculum means building on what you started in Year 7 while learning to express yourself with more confidence. This summer bridging guide is designed to help you revise key basics, fill any gaps, and get a head start on the new topics you will encounter. By spending a little time each week, you can walk into your first lesson feeling prepared and excited to speak French.
进入 CCEA 课程体系下的 Year 8 法语学习,意味着你需要在 Year 7 的基础上进一步提升,学会更自信地用法语表达自己。这份暑期衔接指南旨在帮你复习核心基础知识、填补任何漏洞,并提前了解即将学习的新话题。每周花一点时间,你就能在开学第一堂课上感到准备充分,并期待开口说法语。
1. Why a Summer Bridging Course? | 为什么要进行暑期衔接?
After the summer holiday, it is natural to forget some vocabulary and grammar structures. A bridging course helps your brain stay in touch with French, making the transition into Year 8 smoother. You will also discover new themes such as food, free time and describing your town, which need a solid foundation from Year 7.
暑假过后,遗忘一些词汇和语法结构是很自然的事。衔接课程能帮助你保持与法语的接触,让进入 Year 8 的过渡更加顺畅。你还将接触到食物、闲暇时光和描述家乡等新主题,而这些都需要 Year 7 打下的坚实基础。
CCEA assessments in Year 8 often include mini speaking tasks, listening exercises and short written pieces. A little summer practice boosts your confidence in all four skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Year 8 的 CCEA 评估通常包括迷你口语任务、听力练习和简短的写作。暑假里适当的练习能增强你在听、说、读、写这四项技能上的信心。
2. Greetings and Introductions | 问候与自我介绍
Being able to greet someone and introduce yourself is the first step to communicating in French. Start by reviewing how to say ‘hello’, ‘goodbye’, and ask how someone is. You can practise a simple dialogue: ‘Bonjour, je m’appelle… Ça va?’ – ‘Ça va bien, merci. Et toi?’
能够打招呼并做自我介绍是法语交流的第一步。先复习怎么说“你好”“再见”,以及如何询问别人过得怎么样。你可以练习一段简短的对话:“Bonjour, je m’appelle… Ça va?” —— “Ça va bien, merci. Et toi?”
In Year 8, you will be expected to give more details: your age, birthday, and where you live. Practise full sentences like ‘J’ai douze ans’ (I am 12) and ‘J’habite à Belfast’ (I live in Belfast). Remember to use ‘en’ for feminine countries: ‘J’habite en France’.
在 Year 8,你需要给出更多信息:年龄、生日和居住地。练习完整的句子,比如“J’ai douze ans”(我十二岁)和“J’habite à Belfast”(我住在贝尔法斯特)。注意住在阴性国名前用“en”:“J’habite en France”(我住在法国)。
- Bonjour / Salut – Hello / Hi
- Au revoir – Goodbye
- Je m’appelle… – My name is…
- J’ai … ans – I am … years old
- J’habite à… – I live in…
3. Numbers and Counting | 数字与计数
Numbers are essential for giving your age, telling the time and understanding prices. In Year 7 you covered 1–31. For Year 8, you should confidently count up to 69, and then begin to learn 70–100. Notice patterns: 70 is ‘soixante-dix’ (60+10), 80 is ‘quatre-vingts’ (4×20), and 90 is ‘quatre-vingt-dix’ (80+10).
数字对说出年龄、报时和理解价格非常重要。Year 7 你已经学过 1–31。Year 8 则需要熟练地数到 69,并开始学习 70–100。注意其中的规律:70 是“soixante-dix”(60+10),80 是“quatre-vingts”(4个20),90 是“quatre-vingt-dix”(80+10)。
Try using numbers in real-life situations: count objects at home, say your phone number in French, or ask the price of an imaginary item – ‘Ça coûte combien?’ (How much does it cost?).
尝试在真实场景中使用数字:数一数家里的物品,用法语说出你的电话号码,或者问一件虚拟商品的价格——“Ça coûte combien?”(这个多少钱?)。
| Number | French |
|---|---|
| 20 | vingt |
| 30 | trente |
| 40 | quarante |
| 50 | cinquante |
| 60 | soixante |
| 70 | soixante-dix |
| 80 | quatre-vingts |
| 90 | quatre-vingt-dix |
| 100 | cent |
4. Days, Months and Dates | 星期、月份与日期
Describing your routine and talking about birthdays means you need the days and months. In French, days and months are not written with capital letters. Practise the sequence: lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche. Months: janvier, février, mars, avril, mai, juin, juillet, août, septembre, octobre, novembre, décembre.
描述日常生活和谈论生日,就离不开星期和月份。法语中的星期和月份不大写。练习顺序:lundi(周一)、mardi(周二)、mercredi(周三)、jeudi(周四)、vendredi(周五)、samedi(周六)、dimanche(周日)。月份:janvier(一月)、février(二月)、mars、avril、mai、juin、juillet、août、septembre、octobre、novembre、décembre。
To say the date, use ‘le’ + number + month: ‘le trois mai’ (the third of May). The first of the month is an exception: ‘le premier janvier’ (the first of January). Ask ‘Quelle est la date?’ (What is the date?) to practise.
表示日期,用“le” + 数字 + 月份:“le trois mai”(五月三日)。每月第一天是个例外:“le premier janvier”(一月一日)。可以通过问“Quelle est la date?”(今天几号?)来练习。
5. Colours and Descriptions | 颜色与描述
Adjectives in French change their spelling depending on the noun they describe. Colours are a perfect way to see this in action. Most colour adjectives add an ‘e’ for feminine nouns and an ‘s’ for plural. For example: un sac noir (a black bag) but une voiture noire (a black car).
法语中的形容词会随其修饰的名词改变拼写。颜色词是观察这一规律的极佳例子。大多数颜色形容词在修饰阴性名词时加“e”,在修饰复数名词时加“s”。例如:un sac noir(一个黑色的包),而 une voiture noire(一辆黑色的汽车)。
Some common colours: rouge (red), bleu(e) (blue), vert(e) (green), jaune (yellow), blanc(he) (white), violet(te) (purple). In Year 8, you will start describing hair and eyes: ‘J’ai les cheveux bruns et les yeux bleus.’ (I have brown hair and blue eyes.)
一些常见颜色:rouge(红色)、bleu(e)(蓝色)、vert(e)(绿色)、jaune(黄色)、blanc(he)(白色)、violet(te)(紫色)。Year 8 你将开始描述头发和眼睛:“J’ai les cheveux bruns et les yeux bleus.”(我有一头棕发和一双蓝眼睛。)
6. Family and Pets | 家庭与宠物
Talking about your family is a central topic in Year 8. Revise the key possessive adjectives: mon (my, masculine), ma (my, feminine), mes (my, plural). You can describe each member: ‘Mon père s’appelle Marc.’ (My dad is called Marc.) ‘Ma mère est gentille.’ (My mum is kind.) For pets: ‘J’ai un chien qui s’appelle Rex – il est marron et blanc.’
谈论家庭是 Year 8 的核心话题。复习关键的主有形容词:mon(我的,阳性)、ma(我的,阴性)、mes(我的,复数)。可以逐一描述家庭成员:“Mon père s’appelle Marc.”(我爸爸叫马克。)“Ma mère est gentille.”(我妈妈很温柔。)宠物方面:“J’ai un chien qui s’appelle Rex – il est marron et blanc.”(我有一只叫 Rex 的狗——它是棕白相间的。)
Advanced Year 8 students can include personality traits: ‘Mon frère est sportif et drôle, mais parfois il est énervant!’ (My brother is sporty and funny, but sometimes he is annoying!) This makes your speaking and writing more natural.
学得更好的 Year 8 学生可以加入性格特征:“Mon frère est sportif et drôle, mais parfois il est énervant!”(我哥哥爱运动又风趣,但有时很烦人!)这样能让你的口语和写作更自然。
7. School Subjects and Opinions | 学校科目与表达观点
In Year 8, you will talk about your timetable in more detail. Learn the subjects: les maths (maths), l’anglais (English), le français (French), les sciences (science), la géographie (geography), l’histoire (history), la musique (music), le sport (PE), la technologie (technology), l’art dramatique (drama).
Year 8 你将更详细地讨论你的课程表。学习科目名称:les maths(数学)、l’anglais(英语)、le français(法语)、les sciences(科学)、la géographie(地理)、l’histoire(历史)、la musique(音乐)、le sport(体育)、la technologie(技术)、l’art dramatique(戏剧)。
Opinion phrases are crucial: ‘J’adore…’ (I love), ‘J’aime…’ (I like), ‘Je n’aime pas…’ (I don’t like), ‘Je déteste…’ (I hate). Add a reason with ‘parce que c’est…’: ‘J’adore le sport parce que c’est amusant.’ (I love PE because it’s fun.)
表达观点的短语至关重要:“J’adore…”(我热爱)、“J’aime…”(我喜欢)、“Je n’aime pas…”(我不喜欢)、“Je déteste…”(我讨厌)。用“parce que c’est…”补充理由:“J’adore le sport parce que c’est amusant.”(我热爱体育,因为它有趣。)
8. Key Verbs: avoir and être | 关键动词:avoir 与 être
These two irregular verbs are everywhere. You must know them by heart. ‘avoir‘ (to have): j’ai, tu as, il/elle a, nous avons, vous avez, ils/elles ont. ‘être‘ (to be): je suis, tu es, il/elle est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils/elles sont.
这两个不规则动词无处不在,必须牢记。avoir(有):j’ai, tu as, il/elle a, nous avons, vous avez, ils/elles ont。être(是):je suis, tu es, il/elle est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils/elles sont。
Use avoir for age (‘J’ai douze ans’), possessions (‘J’ai un stylo’), and some feelings (‘J’ai faim’ – I am hungry). Use être for descriptions (‘Je suis petite’), nationality (‘Je suis irlandais(e)’), and location (‘Il est à l’école’).
avoir 用来表示年龄(J’ai douze ans)、拥有(J’ai un stylo)以及某些感受(J’ai faim——我饿了)。être 则用来描述特征(Je suis petite——我长得小巧)、国籍(Je suis irlandais(e)——我是爱尔兰人)和位置(Il est à l’école——他在学校)。
9. Pronunciation Tips | 发音技巧
French pronunciation can feel tricky, but a few rules go a long way. Final consonants are often silent: ‘petit’ sounds like ‘puh-tee’, not ‘puh-teet’. The letters ‘h’ at the start of a word are not pronounced. Nasal sounds like ‘on’, ‘an’, ‘in’ need practice – try saying ‘bon’, ‘blanc’, ‘matin’ while blocking your nose a little to feel the air through your nose.
法语发音可能让人觉得棘手,但掌握几条规则就能事半功倍。词尾的辅音常常不发音:“petit”的发音类似“puh-tee”,而不是“puh-teet”。词首的“h”不发音。鼻元音如“on”“an”“in”需要练习——发“bon”“blanc”“matin”时,轻轻捏住鼻子感受气流,这样就能体会鼻腔的共鸣。
Linking words is also important. When a word ending in a silent consonant is followed by a vowel, you often pronounce the consonant: ‘vous‿avez’ sounds like ‘voo-zah-vay’. This is called liaison and makes your French sound much more fluent.
联诵同样重要。当一个以不发音辅音结尾的单词后面跟着一个元音开头时,通常要读出那个辅音:“vous‿avez”发音为“voo-zah-vay”。这叫作联诵,能让你的法语听起来流利得多。
10. Everyday Classroom Phrases | 日常课堂用语
Using French for classroom communication builds daily confidence. Learn to ask for help: ‘Je ne comprends pas’ (I don’t understand), ‘Vous pouvez répéter, s’il vous plaît?’ (Can you repeat, please?), ‘Comment dit-on “book” en français?’ (How do you say ‘book’ in French?).
用法语进行课堂交流能每天建立你的自信心。学会寻求帮助:“Je ne comprends pas”(我不明白),“Vous pouvez répéter, s’il vous plaît?”(请再重复一遍好吗?),“Comment dit-on ‘book’ en français?”(“书”这个用法语怎么说?)。
Phrases you will hear from your teacher: ‘Écoutez’ (Listen), ‘Répétez’ (Repeat), ‘Ouvrez vos cahiers’ (Open your exercise books), ‘Fermez la porte’ (Shut the door). Try to respond in French whenever possible, even with simple words like ‘oui’, ‘non’, ‘merci’.
你会听到老师说的句子:“Écoutez”(听),“Répétez”(重复),“Ouvrez vos cahiers”(打开练习本),“Fermez la porte”(关门)。只要有可能,就尽量用法语回应,哪怕是简单的“oui”“non”“merci”。
11. French Culture: Fun Facts | 法国文化:趣味知识
Connecting language to culture makes learning more memorable. Did you know that France shares borders with eight countries? Or that the Eiffel Tower was originally only meant to stand for twenty years? Learning about festivals like ‘le 14 juillet’ (Bastille Day) or ‘la fête des rois’ in January when people eat a special cake with a hidden charm inside brings French to life.
将语言与文化联系起来能让学习更记忆深刻。你知道法国与八个国家接壤吗?或者埃菲尔铁塔最初只打算保留二十年?了解“le 14 juillet”(巴士底日)或一月份的“la fête des rois”(主显节)——人们会吃一种藏有小玩具的特别蛋糕——这些都能让法语变得鲜活起来。
In Northern Ireland, CCEA often encourages pupils to compare their culture with that of French-speaking countries. You could explore how French students spend their school day, what they eat at lunch, or what sports popular in France differ from those here.
在北爱尔兰,CCEA 经常鼓励学生比较自己的文化与法语国家文化。你可以了解一下法国学生如何度过他们的学校一日、午餐吃什么,或者法国流行的运动与我们这里有什么不同。
12. Practice Makes Perfect: Summer Activity Suggestions | 熟能生巧:暑期活动建议
A few short, enjoyable tasks each week will keep your French alive. Try setting your phone language to French for a day, listening to a French children’s song on YouTube, or labelling items in your bedroom with sticky notes (‘la porte’, ‘la fenêtre’, ‘le lit’).
每周做几次简短而有趣的活动,就能让你的法语保持活力。试着把手机语言设置成法语一天,在 YouTube 上听一首法语儿歌,或者用便利贴给卧室的物品贴上标签(“la porte”门,“la fenêtre”窗户,“le lit”床)。
Another powerful method is keeping a very simple French diary. Even writing ‘Aujourd’hui, c’est lundi. Il fait beau.’ (Today is Monday. The weather is nice.) activates your memory. You can also make flashcards for the new Year 8 topics like shops, directions, or ordering food.
另一个有效的方法是写极其简单的法语日记。哪怕只写下“Aujourd’hui, c’est lundi. Il fait beau.”(今天是周一。天气晴朗。)也能激活你的记忆。你还可以为新 Year 8 话题(如商店、指路、点餐)制作闪卡。
Remember: small, consistent practice always beats a last-minute cram. Enjoy the process – bon courage et bonnes vacances!
记住:小量而持续的练习永远胜过临时抱佛脚。享受这个过程——bon courage et bonnes vacances(加油,假期愉快)!
