Writing a high-scoring essay in AQA GCSE Spanish can feel challenging, but with a clear framework and enough practice, you can produce well-structured, accurate, and interesting pieces of writing. This article breaks down the essential components of a successful Spanish essay, from understanding the question to using complex language, and provides a full model essay with annotations. Whether you are aiming for a grade 7, 8 or 9, mastering these techniques will boost your confidence and your marks.

在 AQA GCSE 西班牙语考试中写出一篇高分作文可能很有挑战性,但有了清晰的框架和足够的练习,你就能写出结构严谨、语言准确且内容有趣的文章。本文拆解了一篇成功西班牙语论文的基本要素,从理解题目到使用复杂语言,并附上一篇完整的范文及注释。无论你的目标是 7 分、8 分还是 9 分,掌握这些技巧都会提升你的信心和分数。

1. Understanding the AQA Spanish Essay Question | 理解 AQA 西班牙语论文题目

Before you start writing, spend at least two minutes reading the question carefully. AQA writing tasks often include bullet points that you must cover. Underline the key verbs such as “describe”, “explain”, “compare” or “give your opinion”. These tell you what kind of language you need. For example, if the question asks you to describe your school, you will need plenty of adjectives and present tense. If it asks you to compare your current school with your primary school, you must use comparative structures and the imperfect tense.

在你开始写作之前,至少花两分钟仔细阅读题目。AQA 的写作任务通常包含必须覆盖的要点提示。在关键动词下划线,比如“描述”、“解释”、“比较”或“给出你的观点”。这些词告诉你要使用哪类语言。例如,如果题目要求你描述你的学校,你将需要大量形容词和现在时。如果要求你比较现在的学校和小学,你必须使用比较结构和过去未完成时。

Always check the higher-tier extension tasks if you are sitting the higher paper. These will often ask you to include a narrative event in the past or to talk about future plans. Missing just one bullet point can seriously limit your marks, so tick them off as you write.

如果你参加的是高等级考试,一定要查看扩展任务。这些任务通常会要求你包含一件过去发生的事件或谈论未来计划。哪怕只漏掉一个要点都会严重影响你的得分,因此写作时记得逐项打勾核对。

2. Planning Your Essay: The 5-Minute Framework | 规划你的论文:5 分钟框架

Never start writing without a plan. Use the first five minutes of the allocated time to create a quick mind map or a simple list of ideas for each bullet point. Write down key vocabulary and connectives you want to include. A plan does not need to be neat or in English; use Spanish words and abbreviations. This will help you avoid repetition and make sure you have a logical order. If you are doing the higher paper, split your plan into main points and extension points.

永远不要没有计划就开始写。利用分配时间里的前五分钟,为每个要点快速画一个思维导图,或者列一个简单的想法清单。写下你想用的关键词汇和连接词。计划不需要多整洁,也不一定要用英语写;直接用西班牙语单词和缩写。这样做可以帮助你避免重复,确保文章有一个合乎逻辑的顺序。如果你参加的是高等级考试,把计划分成基础要点和扩展要点。

Plan Step Time Action
1 0-2 min Underline key words and required tenses
2 2-4 min Brainstorm ideas and vocabulary per bullet
3 4-5 min Order points logically and add connectives

A clear plan acts like a skeleton for your essay. It keeps you on track when you feel nervous during the exam.

清晰的计划就像论文的骨架。当你在考场上感到紧张时,它能让你不跑题。

3. Paragraph Structure: PEEL Method | 段落结构:PEEL 法

Each paragraph should follow a clear structure. The PEEL method works very well for Spanish essays: Point, Evidence, Explain, and Link. Start with a topic sentence that makes your point clearly. Then give evidence, which could be an example, a reason, or a personal experience. Next, explain this evidence, perhaps by adding an opinion or a result. Finally, link back to the question or forward to the next idea.

每个段落都应该有一个清晰的结构。PEEL 法非常适用于西班牙语论文:观点 (Point)、证据 (Evidence)、解释 (Explain) 和衔接 (Link)。先用一句主题句清楚地表明你的观点。然后给出证据,可以是一个例子、一个理由或一段个人经历。接着解释这个证据,比如加上观点或结果。最后,回扣题目或衔接下一个想法。

For example, when discussing whether homework is useful, your PEEL paragraph might be: (Point) Creo que los deberes son necesarios.

Using PEEL prevents you from jumping between ideas and makes your writing more persuasive.

使用 PEEL 法能防止你在不同想法之间跳跃,让你的文章更有说服力。

4. Introduction: How to Start Strong | 引言:如何强势开篇

A short introduction sets the tone for your essay. You do not need to write a long opening paragraph; two or three sentences in Spanish are enough. State the topic and briefly mention the aspects you are going to discuss. You can also give a general opinion or a rhetorical question to engage the reader. For instance, for a question about healthy eating, you could start: “Hoy en dia, la alimentacion saludable es un tema muy debatido.

Avoid beginning with “Voy a escribir sobre…”. This is too basic for a grade 8‑9. Instead, use phrases like “Es un hecho que…”, “Hoy en dia se habla mucho de…”, or “Resulta sorprendente que…”. These immediately show a higher level of linguistic competence.

避免用“Voy a escribir sobre…”开头。对于想要拿 8‑9 分的文章来说,这太基础了。改用“Es un hecho que…”、“Hoy en dia se habla mucho de…”或者“Resulta sorprendente que…”之类的表达。这些短语能立刻展示出更高水平的语言能力。

5. Developing Arguments in Body Paragraphs | 主体段落展开论点

Body paragraphs should develop two or three clear ideas. Choose one main idea per paragraph and stick to it. Use a variety of reasons, examples and counterarguments to show depth. For a well‑developed argument, you might present a positive side and then a negative side. Structure a balanced argument using a phrase like “Por un lado… por otro lado…” or “Mientras que algunos piensan que…, otros creen que…”.

主体段落应该展开两到三个清晰的观点。每段选择一个主要观点并紧扣不放。使用多样的理由、例子和对立论点来展示深度。要展开一个充分的论证,你可以先陈述积极的一面,再陈述消极的一面。用“Por un lado… por otro lado…”或者“Mientras que algunos piensan que…, otros creen que…”这样的短语构建一个正反兼备的论证。

Make sure you include a range of tenses. When giving a personal example in the past, use the preterite and imperfect correctly. When suggesting solutions or future plans, use the simple future or ir a + infinitive. Examiners look specifically for accurate tense switching.

确保你使用了一系列时态。在给出过去的个人例子时,要正确使用简单过去时和过去未完成时。在提出建议或未来计划时,使用简单将来时或 ir a + 动词原形。考官会特别关注时态切换是否准确。

One common error is writing very long, rambling paragraphs. Instead, aim for 3‑5 sentences per main paragraph. Each sentence should add something new: a reason, a consequence, a piece of data, or a comparison.

一个常见错误是写得又长又散。相反,每个主体段落控制在 3 到 5 句话。每句话都应该增加一些新东西:一个理由、一个后果、一个数据,或者一个对比。

6. Mastering Tenses and Complex Structures | 掌握时态与复杂结构

AQA mark schemes reward variety of tenses and complex structures. To reach the top bands, you should aim to use at least three tenses accurately. The safest combination is present, preterite, and near future (ir a + infinitive). Higher scorers often add the imperfect, the simple future, or the conditional. You can also try the perfect tense (haber + past participle) to talk about experience.

AQA 的评分标准奖励时态的多样性和复杂结构。要进入最高分数档,你应该努力准确使用至少三种时态。最稳妥的组合是现在时、简单过去时和近将来时 (ir a + 动词原形)。得分更高的考生通常会加入过去未完成时、简单将来时或条件式。你也可以尝试用完成时 (haber + 过去分词) 来谈论经历。

Complex structures go beyond tenses. Use expressions such as “lo bueno es que”, “lo malo es que”, “me gustaria + infinitive”, “si tuviera la oportunidad”, or “cuando sea mayor”. These show that you can manipulate verbs and sentence patterns. Also include subjunctive triggers where appropriate, like “es importante que” or “no creo que”, but only if you are confident with the conjugations.

复杂结构不仅限于时态。使用诸如“lo bueno es que”、“lo malo es que”、“me gustaria + 动词原形”、“si tuviera la oportunidad”或“cuando sea mayor”等表达。这些能展示你会灵活运用动词和句型。在合适的地方加入虚拟式的触发结构,比如“es importante que”或“no creo que”,但只在你对变位有把握时才使用。

A common trap is using a complex structure incorrectly. It is better to write a simple sentence perfectly than a complex one full of mistakes. Practise five or six favourite complex structures and make sure they are always correct.

一个常见的陷阱是错误地使用复杂结构。写出一个完全正确的简单句,比写出一堆错误的复杂句要好。反复练习五六个你最拿手的复杂结构,确保每次都能写对。

7. Using Connectives and Discourse Markers | 使用连接词与语篇标记

Connectives help create a logical flow and earn marks for organisation. Basic connectives like “y”, “pero”, “tambien” and “sin embargo” are acceptable but stop at that if you want a high grade. Introduce a wider range: “ademas” (furthermore), “por lo tanto” (therefore), “aunque” (although), “no obstante” (nevertheless), “en cambio” (on the other hand), and “asi que” (so). Time markers such as “primero”, “luego” and “finalmente” help order your ideas.

连接词有助于创建逻辑流,并在组织结构方面得分。“y”、“pero”、“tambien”和“sin embargo”这类基础连接词可以使用,但如果你想要拿高分,就不能止步于此。引入更宽泛的词:“ademas”(此外)、“por lo tanto”(因此)、“aunque”(尽管)、“no obstante”(然而)、“en cambio”(相反地)和“asi que”(所以)。时间标记如“primero”、“luego”和“finalmente”可以帮助你排列观点。

You must use a discourse marker each time you start a new point. This shows the examiner you are deliberately structuring the essay. For a balanced argument, pairs of connectives are very effective: “Por una parte… por otra…” or “No solo… sino tambien…”.

你必须在每次开始一个新观点时使用语篇标记。这向考官展示你在有意识地组织文章。对于正反论证,成对的连接词相当有效:“Por una parte… por otra…”或“No solo… sino tambien…”。

Avoid overusing the same few connectors. If every paragraph starts with “Tambien”, the essay becomes repetitive. Keep a mental checklist of five or six different ones and rotate them.

避免重复使用同样的几个连接词。如果每个段落都以“Tambien”开头,文章就会显得单调。在心里准备五六个不同的连接词清单,并轮换使用。

8. Adding Opinions and Justifications | 添加观点与论证

Opinion phrases are vital in almost every AQA Spanish essay. The exam expects you not just to state facts, but to give your view and back it up. Go beyond “creo que” and “pienso que”. Use a range: “en mi opinion”, “a mi modo de ver”, “desde mi punto de vista”, “me parece que”, “estoy convencido de que”. Justify your opinion with a reason: reason and result.

Negative opinions and doubt structures also impress examiners. Try “no me parece bien que + subjunctive” or “dudo que + subjunctive”. When you express disagreement, do it politely and with a reason: “No estoy de acuerdo con esta idea porque…”.

负面观点和怀疑结构也能给考官留下深刻印象。试试“no me parece bien que + 虚拟式”或“dudo que + 虚拟式”。当你表达不同意时要保持礼貌并给出理由:“No estoy de acuerdo con esta idea porque…”。

The phrase “lo que mas me gusta es que” and its opposite “lo que menos me gusta es que” are particularly useful when describing likes and dislikes, a common topic.

在描述喜好这一常见话题时,“lo que mas me gusta es que”及其反义词“lo que menos me gusta es que”尤为实用。

9. Advanced Vocabulary and Idioms | 高级词汇与习语

Using a handful of well-placed idiomatic expressions can push your essay to a higher level. AQA mark schemes recognise “a variety of vocabulary” as a key indicator. Include idioms that sound natural, such as “cuesta un ojo de la cara” (it costs a fortune), “estoy en las nubes” (I’m daydreaming), “vale la pena” (it’s worth it), or “poner de mi parte” (to do my bit). Do not overuse these; two or three in a whole essay are sufficient.

恰当地使用几个习语表达可以将你的文章提升一个档次。AQA 的评分标准将“词汇多样性”视为一个关键指标。加入听起来自然的习语,比如“cuesta un ojo de la cara”(贵得离谱)、“estoy en las nubes”(我在走神)、“vale la pena”(值得)或“poner de mi parte”(尽我的一份力)。不要滥用;整篇文章用两三个就足够了。

Advanced vocabulary also means choosing more precise nouns and adjectives. Instead of “bueno”, say “excelente”, “beneficioso”, “maravilloso” or “positivo”. Instead of “malo”, try “perjudicial”, “negativo”, “horrible” or “preocupante”. When describing people, go beyond “simpatico”: use “comprensivo”, “generoso”, “egoista” or “tolerante”.

高级词汇还意味着选择更精准的名词和形容词。不说“bueno”,用“excelente”、“beneficioso”、“maravilloso”或“positivo”。不说“malo”,试试“perjudicial”、“negativo”、“horrible”或“preocupante”。描述人时,不要只停留在“simpatico”,用“comprensivo”、“generoso”、“egoista”或“tolerante”。

Keep a vocabulary bank in your revision notes, grouped by topic: family, school, environment, technology, holidays. This makes it much easier to retrieve the right word under time pressure.

在你的复习笔记中按主题建立一个词汇库:家庭、学校、环境、科技、度假。这样在时间压力下,就能更容易地检索到合适的词。

10. Conclusion: Summarising Effectively | 结论:有效总结

A conclusion is not just a repetition of the introduction. Summarise your main points in a fresh way and end with a final opinion or a future hope. A well-crafted conclusion can be the difference between a secure grade 7 and a potential grade 8. Use phrases like “En conclusion”, “Para resumir”, “En definitiva” or “Como hemos visto”.

结论并不仅仅是重复引言。要用一种全新的方式总结你的主要观点,并以一个最终看法或一个对未来的希望作结。一段精心打造的结论,可能就是稳妥拿 7 分与冲刺 8 分之间的区别。使用“En conclusion”、“Para resumir”、“En definitiva”或“Como hemos visto”等短语。

Try to include a forward-looking statement such as “Espero que en el futuro la situacion mejore” or “Si todos ponemos de nuestra parte, podremos lograr un cambio.” This leaves the marker with a sense of completeness and maturity.

试着加入一个展望性的表述,比如“Espero que en el futuro la situacion mejore”或“Si todos ponemos de nuestra parte, podremos lograr un cambio.”这会给阅卷老师留下完整且成熟的印象。

Keep the conclusion short: three sentences are enough. Never introduce a completely new idea in the conclusion; that belongs in a body paragraph.

结论要简短:三句话足矣。绝对不要在结论中引入一个全新的观点;那应该放在主体段落里。

11. Common Mistakes to Avoid | 常见错误及避免

Even strong candidates lose marks through avoidable errors. The most frequent mistake is inconsistent tense use. If you start describing a past event, stay in the past. Do not switch randomly to the present unless it is deliberate. Another common error is adjective agreement: adjectives must match the gender and number of the noun. Check every noun-adjective pair while you proofread.

即使是实力强的考生也会因为一些可以避免的错误而失分。最常见的错误是时态不一致。如果你开始描述一件过去的事,就一直保持过去时态。不要随意切换到现在的时态,除非是特意为之。另一个常见错误是形容词的性数一致:形容词必须与名词的性和数保持一致。在校对时逐对检查名词和形容词。

Misuse of ser and estar, por and para, and the personal a can also pull your accuracy score down. Make a quick checklist of your own personal weak spots and review it before the exam. Spelling mistakes in very common words like “porque” (cause) and “por que” (why) look careless and affect communication.

ser 和 estar、por 和 para 以及指人的 a 的误用,也会拉低你在准确性上的得分。快速列一个你自己的薄弱点清单,并在考前温习一遍。像“porque”(因为)和“por que”(为什么)这样非常常见的单词拼写错误会显得很粗心,并且影响沟通。

Finally, do not forget the word count requirements. Writing too little will cap your marks, while writing far too much increases the risk of mistakes. Stick to the recommended lengths: about 90‑150 words for the foundation 90‑word task, 150‑180 for the higher 150‑word task, and roughly 250‑300 for the extended 130‑word higher task.

最后,不要忘记字数要求。写得太少会限制你的得分,而写得太多会增加出错的几率。按照建议的长度来:基础等级的 90 词任务大约 90‑150 词,高等级的 150 词任务大约 150‑180 词,高等级扩展的 130 词任务大约 250‑300 词。

12. Model Essay Breakdown | 范文拆解

Below is an example question and a model answer that applies all the techniques above. The topic is ‘Las redes sociales’. The bullet points ask you to describe how you use social media, compare it with face-to-face communication, and say whether it is good or bad for young people. This model targets a grade 8‑9.

Model Essay:

范文:
