Case Study Practice for CAIE AS Spanish | CAIE AS西班牙语案例分析实战演练

📚 Case Study Practice for CAIE AS Spanish | CAIE AS西班牙语案例分析实战演练

In CAIE AS Spanish Paper 2, the case study exercise requires you to read a short authentic text and then produce both a concise summary and a personal response. This type of task is an excellent way to demonstrate your comprehension, vocabulary range, and ability to argue in Spanish. Mastering it through regular practice will boost your confidence and your final mark.

在CAIE AS西班牙语卷二(阅读与写作)中,案例分析题要求你阅读一篇简短的西班牙语真实文本,然后写出一份精炼的总结和一份个人回应。这种任务能很好地展示你的理解能力、词汇量以及用西班牙语论证的水平。通过经常性的实战演练掌握它,会大大提升你的信心和最终成绩。

1. Understanding the Case Study Task | 理解案例分析任务

The case study generally appears in Paper 2 (Reading and Writing) as the final exercise. You will encounter a text of around 200 words on a topic such as the environment, technology, or family life. You are then expected to write a summary of about 70 words and a personal reaction of approximately 70 words, each worth 5 marks. The total of 10 marks can make a significant difference to your overall grade.

案例分析题通常出现在卷二(阅读与写作)的最后一道题目。你会遇到一篇约200词的文章,话题可能涉及环境、科技或家庭生活。接下来要求你写出一份约70词的总结和一份约70词的个人回应,每部分值5分。总共10分对你的整体等级影响很大。

Read the rubric carefully: the summary must capture the main points objectively, while the personal reaction needs to justify your own views with reasons and examples. Do not mix the two; examiners expect clearly separated paragraphs.

仔细审题:总结部分需客观地抓住要点,个人回应部分则要用理由和例子证明你自己的观点。不要把两者混在一起写;考官希望看到两个清晰的段落。

2. Key Reading Strategies | 关键阅读策略

Start by skimming the text to identify the theme and the general stance of the author. Look for signpost words such as ‘además’, ‘sin embargo’, ‘por lo tanto’ that reveal the structure of the argument. Then reread the text with a highlighter to mark the absolute essential information for your summary.

先快速浏览文本,识别主题和作者的基本立场。寻找像además、sin embargo、por lo tanto这类标志词,它们能揭示论证结构。然后再精读,用荧光笔标出对总结而言绝对必要的信息。

It is helpful to mentally ask: ‘¿De qué trata el texto?’, ‘¿Cuál es el problema?’, ‘¿Qué soluciones se mencionan?’ While reading, never get distracted by unfamiliar words; try to deduce their meaning from context. This mirrors real exam conditions.

在心里默问“这篇文章是关于什么的?”“问题是什么?”“提到了哪些解决办法?”会很有用。阅读时不要因为生词而分心,尝试从上下文推测意思。这模拟了真实的考试场景。

3. Summarising Without Plagiarising | 无抄袭总结

A successful summary uses your own words. Avoid lifting whole phrases from the original text; otherwise you risk losing marks. Paraphrasing techniques include changing active to passive voice, replacing nouns with synonyms, and converting direct speech into reported speech.

成功的总结要使用自己的语言。避免直接照搬原文整句,否则有扣分风险。改写技巧包括把主动语态变为被动语态、用同义词替换名词,以及把直接引语转换为间接引语。

For instance, if the text says ‘Los jóvenes exigen medidas concretas’, you could write ‘La juventud reclama acciones específicas’. Practice this by taking a news article and summarising it in exactly 70 words to build precision.

例如,原文若写Los jóvenes exigen medidas concretas,你可以改写成La juventud reclama acciones específicas。拿一篇新闻练习精确地写出70词总结,来锻炼扼要表达的能力。

4. Expressing Your Opinion | 表达个人观点

The personal reaction should go beyond a simple ‘me gusta’. Use a range of expressions to introduce your opinion, build an argument, and offer a balanced view. Below is a table of phrases that can instantly upgrade your writing.

6. Tackling a Sample Case: El Medio Ambiente | 实战案例:环境问题

Now apply the strategies to a realistic text. Read the following passage, which could appear in your exam, and then attempt a summary and personal reaction.

Before writing, extract the key points: urgent climate challenge, rising emissions, extreme weather, youth demanding action, expert push for renewables, opposition from some countries due to economic interests, yet growing public awareness and clean-tech investment.

动笔前提取关键信息:气候挑战紧迫,排放量上升,极端天气,年轻人要求行动,专家力推可再生能源,部分国家因经济利益抵制,然而公众意识日益增强,清洁技术投资增多。

7. Deconstructing the Model Answer | 拆解范文

A strong summary condenses the core message without adding personal opinion. Here is a model summary (70 words):

No new information is added.

注意它是如何使用改写方法的:用la urgencia del cambio climático代替uno de los desafíos más urgentes,用la necesidad de energías renovables改写la transición… es esencial。没有添加任何新信息。

The personal reaction should express an opinion and develop it. Model (70 words):

个人回应应当表达观点并展开。范文(70词):

En mi opinión, los gobiernos deberían priorizar las energías limpias para garantizar un futuro sostenible. Aunque comprendo que ciertos países dependan económicamente de los combustibles fósiles, creo que el coste de no actuar es mucho mayor. Estoy de acuerdo con los jóvenes: el planeta no puede esperar. Por eso, apoyo las iniciativas que fomentan la inversión verde y la educación ambiental.

This response clearly states a position, acknowledges a counterargument, and reinforces the conclusion with a reason. Useful phrases like ‘Aunque comprendo que’ show complex language and earn grammar marks.

这一回应清楚地表达了立场,承认了反方观点,并用理由强化了结论。像Aunque comprendo que这样的实用短语展现了复杂语言,能赢得语法分数。

8. Avoiding Common Mistakes | 避免常见错误

One frequent error is copying sentences directly from the source text. Even if you change one or two words, the examiner will consider it as lifted language and penalise your summary. Always rewrite the idea completely.

一个常见错误是直接复制原句。即使你改动了一两个词,考官也会视之为照搬语言并扣掉总结部分的分数。一定要把意思完全重写。

Another pitfall is exceeding the word limit. Count your words after writing; summaries that are too long will lose marks for conciseness. Aim for 65-75 words. Also, never introduce examples or statistics that are not in the text in your summary.

另一个陷阱是超词。写完后数一下;太过冗长的总结会因不够简洁而失分。控制在65-75词。同时,绝不要在总结中引入原文没有的例子或数据。

In the personal reaction, avoid one-line answers. Examiners expect development with linkers and a clear justification. Common grammar slips include the misuse of the subjunctive after expressions like ‘es importante que’, and confusion between ‘ser’ and ‘estar’. Proofread for these.

在个人回应中,避免一句话式的回答。考官希望看到使用连接词的展开以及明确的理由。常见的语法失误包括在es importante que等表达后错误使用虚拟语气,以及混淆ser和estar。记得检查这些点。

9. Timed Practice Routine | 计时练习步骤

Recreate exam conditions at home. Set a timer for 30 minutes: spend 5 minutes reading and noting key ideas, 10 minutes drafting your summary, 10 minutes writing your personal reaction, and 5 minutes proofreading. Doing this once a week will improve your speed and accuracy.

在家中模拟考试环境。定时30分钟:5分钟阅读并记录关键想法,10分钟起草总结,10分钟书写个人回应,最后5分钟检查。每周这样做一次能提高你的速度和准确性。

  • Minute 1-5: Read and underline keywords. 阅读并划出关键词。
  • Minute 6-15: Write summary draft, avoiding lift. 写出总结草稿,避免照抄。
  • Minute 16-25: Write reaction with personal justification. 写出带有个人理由的回应。
  • Minute 26-30: Check spelling, subjunctive triggers, and word count. 检查拼写、虚拟语气触发词和词数。

10. Final Tips for Success | 最后的高分建议

Read widely in Spanish about current affairs: climate change, digital life, family structures, and education. The more familiar you are with the topics, the easier it will be to understand the text and form an opinion at speed.

广泛阅读与时事相关的西班牙语文章:气候变化、数字生活、家庭结构、教育。你对话题越熟悉,就越容易快速理解文本并形成观点。

Build a personal bank of versatile phrases, such as ‘es fundamental que + subjunctive’ and ‘no se puede negar que’. Use them in every practice session until they become natural. Finally, trust your preparation and write with confidence.

建立自己的万能短语库,比如es fundamental que + 虚拟语气和no se puede negar que。每次练习都使用它们,直到运用自如。最后,相信你的准备,自信地书写。
