This quick-reference handbook distils the most important German grammar rules for the WJEC Year 12 (AS) course into clear, memorable formulae. By treating key structures like word order, clause types and verb forms as reusable ‘equations’, you can approach written and spoken tasks with confidence. Keep this guide handy when revising or completing past-paper questions.

这本速查手册将 WJEC Year 12(AS)德语课程中最重要的语法规则提炼成清晰好记的公式。通过把语序、从句类型和动词形式等关键结构看作可重复使用的“方程式”,你可以更自信地应对书面与口语任务。复习或做往年真题时随时翻阅本指南。

1. Main Clause Word Order (V2 Rule) | 主句语序(动词第二顺位规则)

In a German main clause, the conjugated verb always occupies the second position. The first position can be filled by the subject, an adverbial phrase, an object or even a whole subordinate clause. Whatever stands in position one, the finite verb follows directly in position two.

在德语主句中,变位动词总是占据第二位。第一位可以由主语、状语短语、宾语甚至一个完整的从句充当。无论第一位是什么,限定动词紧随其后占据第二位。

The canoncial formula is therefore:

因此典型公式为:

Element₁ + V₂ + Subject + …

Examples:

例句:

Ich gehe morgen ins Kino. (subject first)

我明天去电影院。(主语在先)

Morgen gehe ich ins Kino. (adverbial first; subject follows verb)

明天我去电影院。(状语在先;主语跟在动词后)

Den Film habe ich schon gesehen. (accusative object first)

那部电影我已经看过了。(宾格宾语在先)

2. Questions & Sentence Brackets | 疑问句与句子框架

Yes/no questions are formed by moving the conjugated verb to the very front. Information questions begin with a question word, then the verb, then the subject. In both types, any non-finite parts of the verb (past participles, infinitives) move to the end, creating a sentence bracket.

一般疑问句将变位动词移至句首。特殊疑问句以疑问词开头,然后是动词,再是主语。在这两种问句中,动词的非限定部分(过去分词、不定式)都移到句末,形成句子框架。

Formula for yes/no questions:

一般疑问句公式:

V₂ + S + … + ?

Formula for w-questions:

特殊疑问句公式:

W-Wort + V₂ + S + … + ?

Examples:

例句:

Hast du das Buch gelesen? (bracket: hast … gelesen)

你读过那本书吗?(框架:hast … gelesen)

Warum willst du heute nicht mitkommen? (bracket: willst … mitkommen)

为什么你今天不想一起来?(框架:willst … mitkommen)

3. Modal Verb Construction | 情态动词结构

Modal verbs (können, müssen, dürfen, sollen, wollen, mögen/möchten) take the conjugated second position in a main clause. The dependent infinitive stands at the very end, forming a verbal bracket. In subordinate clauses the modal verb moves to the end alongside the infinitive.

情态动词(können, müssen, dürfen, sollen, wollen, mögen/möchten)在主句中占据第二变位位。从属不定式位于句末,构成动词框架。在从句中,情态动词连同不定式一起移到句末。

S + Modalverb₂ + … + Infinitiv (Ende)

Examples:

例句:

Ich will nächstes Jahr in Deutschland studieren.

我明年想去德国留学。

…, weil ich nächstes Jahr in Deutschland studieren will. (subordinate clause)

……因为我明年想去德国留学。(从句)

4. Perfect Tense Formula | 现在完成时公式

The perfect tense is the standard past tense form in spoken German. It consists of the auxiliary ‘haben’ or ‘sein’ (conjugated in second position) and the past participle at the end. ‘Sein’ is used with verbs indicating movement or change of state, and with sein, bleiben, passieren.

现在完成时是德语口语中的标准过去时形式,由助动词haben或sein(第二位变位)和句末的过去分词构成。表示移动或状态变化的动词以及sein, bleiben, passieren使用sein。

haben/sein₂ + … + Partizip II (Ende)

Regular past participles: ge + verb stem + t

规则过去分词:ge + 词干 + t

Irregular participles often end in -en (e.g. gegangen, gesehen).

不规则分词常以-en结尾(如 gegangen, gesehen)。

Examples:

例句:

Ich habe gestern meine Hausaufgaben gemacht.

我昨天做了作业。

Wir sind mit dem Zug nach Berlin gefahren.

我们坐火车去了柏林。

5. Adjective Declension Patterns | 形容词词尾变化模式

Adjective endings change depending on the article (definite, indefinite, zero article), case, gender and number. Three declension tables can be memorised as ‘formulae’. With the definite article, adjectives mainly take -e or -en; with the indefinite article, endings reflect the der/die/das signal; with no article, endings carry the full determiner weight.

形容词词尾根据冠词(定冠词、不定冠词、零冠词)、格、性和数进行变化。三张变化表可以记作“公式”。与定冠词连用时形容词主要加-e或-en;与不定冠词连用时词尾体现der/die/das信号;无冠词时词尾承担全部限定功能。

Type Nominative Accusative Dative Genitive
Definite article (der-Wort) -e / -e / -e / -en (pl.) -en / -e / -e / -en -en / -en / -en / -en -en / -en / -en / -en

6. Passive Voice Formation | 被动语态构成

The passive voice shifts the focus from the agent to the action. It is formed with ‘werden’ (conjugated) + past participle at the end. The agent can be introduced with ‘von’ (+ dative). In the perfect tense, the construction becomes ‘sein + past participle + worden’.

被动语态将焦点从施事者转移到动作本身。结构为变位的werden + 句末的过去分词。施事者可用von(+与格)引出。在现在完成时中,结构变为sein + 过去分词 + worden。

S + werden₂ + … + Partizip II

Perfekt Passiv: S + sein₂ + … + Partizip II + worden

Examples:

例句:

Das Haus wird jedes Jahr renoviert.

这栋房子每年都被翻新。

Das Haus ist letztes Jahr renoviert worden.

这栋房子去年被翻新过了。

7. Subjunctive II (Konjunktiv II) – Polite Requests & Hypotheticals | 第二虚拟式 – 礼貌请求与假设

Konjunktiv II expresses hypothetical situations, wishes and polite requests. It is most commonly built with the auxiliary ‘würde’ + infinitive at the end. However, the modals and a handful of strong verbs (sein, haben, wissen, etc.) use their own Konjunktiv II forms (wäre, hätte, wüsste, könnte, müsste, etc.), which must be learnt as formulae.

第二虚拟式表达假设、愿望和礼貌请求。最常见结构是würde + 不定式。但情态动词和少量强变化动词(sein, haben, wissen等)使用本身的第二虚拟式形式(wäre, hätte, wüsste, könnte, müsste等),需要作为公式记诵。

Ich/Sie + würde₂ + … + Infinitiv

Ich/Sie + Konjunktiv-II-Form₂ + …

Examples:

例句:

Ich würde gern ein Stück Kuchen essen. (polite)

我很乐意吃一块蛋糕。(礼貌)

Wenn ich mehr Zeit hätte, würde ich reisen. (hypothetical)

如果我有更多时间,我就会去旅行。(假设)

Das könnte gefährlich sein. (modal in K.II)

那可能有危险。(情态动词K.II)

8. Subjunctive I (Konjunktiv I) – Indirect Speech | 第一虚拟式 – 间接引语

Konjunktiv I is used mainly in formal writing to report speech without endorsing it (indirect speech). It is formed from the stem of the infinitive: e.g. er habe, sie sei, man müsse. In many cases the K.I form is identical to the indicative; then K.II is used as a substitute to make the distancing clear.

第一虚拟式主要用于书面体中转述他人的话(间接引语)。由动词不定式词干构成,如 er habe, sie sei, man müsse。很多时候第一虚拟式形式与直陈式相同,这时会用第二虚拟式代替,以明确表达转述距离。

…, dass/weil … (+ K.I / K.II) + …

When using the subjunctive in indirect speech with ‘dass’:

在使用dass引导的间接引语时:

Er sagte, dass er krank sei. (K.I of sein)

他说他病了。

Sie meinte, sie habe keine Zeit. (K.I of haben)

她认为她没有时间。

Wenn the indicative and K.I are identical, K.II is used: Sie sagten, sie wären müde (not seien).

当直陈式和第一虚拟式相同时,使用第二虚拟式:他们说他们很累(用wären而非seien)。

9. Relative Clauses | 关系从句

Relative clauses provide extra information about a noun. They are introduced by a relative pronoun (der, die, das) that agrees in gender and number with the antecedent but takes its case from its role in the relative clause. The conjugated verb in the relative clause stands at the very end.

关系从句提供关于名词的额外信息。由关系代词(der, die, das)引导,其性和数与先行词一致,但格取决于在从句中的功能。关系从句中的变位动词位于句末。

…, Relativpronomen (der/die/das) + S + … + V (Ende)

Examples:

例句:

Das Buch, das ich gerade lese, ist spannend. (accusative neuter)

我正在读的那本书很紧张。(宾格中性)

Die Frau, mit der ich gesprochen habe, kommt aus Berlin. (dative feminine after preposition)

我和她交谈过的那位女士来自柏林。(介词后与格阴性)

10. Prepositional Case Triggers & Common Collocations | 介词格触发与常见搭配

Many verbs and adjectives require specific prepositions that force a particular case (accusative, dative or genitive). Learning these as fixed pairs speeds up accurate writing. Two-way prepositions (an, auf, hinter, in, neben, über, unter, vor, zwischen) take dative for location (wo?) and accusative for direction (wohin?).

许多动词和形容词要求特定介词,并强制该介词后的格(宾格、与格或属格)。把它们当作固定搭配来学习能加快准确书写。双格介词(an, auf, hinter, in, neben, über, unter, vor, zwischen)表示静态地点(wo?)时用与格,表示方向(wohin?)时用宾格。

Verb + Preposition + Case Meaning
sich interessieren für + Akk. to be interested in
warten auf + Akk. to wait for
sich freuen auf + Akk. (future) to look forward to
sich freuen über + Akk. (present/past) to be pleased about
denken an + Akk. to think of/about
Angst haben vor + Dat. to be afraid of
sich erinnern an + Akk. to remember

Two-way prepositions formula: wo + Dativ, wohin + Akkusativ.

双格介词公式:wo + 与格,wohin + 宾格。

Example: Ich hänge das Bild an die Wand (Akk. → direction). Das Bild hängt an der Wand (Dat. → location).

例句:我把画挂到墙上(宾格→方向)。画挂在墙上(与格→地点)。

11. Word Order with Subordinating Conjunctions | 从属连词与语序

Subordinating conjunctions (weil, dass, wenn, obwohl, damit, so dass, als, bevor, nachdem, während, bis, seit/seitdem) push the conjugated verb to the very end of the clause. This is one of the most frequently tested ‘formulae’ at AS level. In compound tenses or with modals, the finite auxiliary/modal verb goes last, after the participle or infinitive.

从属连词(weil, dass, wenn, obwohl, damit, so dass, als, bevor, nachdem, während, bis, seit/seitdem)将变位动词推至从句末尾。这是AS阶段最常考察的“公式”之一。在复合时态或带有情态动词时,限定助动词/情态动词位于过去分词或不定式之后。

Subjunktion + S + … + Vfinal

Examples:

例句:

Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil es regnet. (single verb at end)

我待在家里,因为下雨了。(单一动词在末尾)

…, obwohl ich die Arbeit schon gemacht habe. (habe after Partizip)

……虽然我已经做完了作业。(habe在分词后)

…, so dass wir uns besser konzentrieren können. (modals: können after infinitive)

……这样我们就能更好地集中注意力。(情态动词können在不定式后)

12. Comparative and Superlative Structures | 比较级与最高级结构

Comparative forms add -er and often an umlaut for common one-syllable adjectives (groß → größer, alt → älter). Superlatives in predicate position use ‘am + -sten’, while attributive superlatives use the definite article and add -ste with the appropriate adjective ending. The comparative is often followed by ‘als’ (than). The formula ‘je … desto/umso’ expresses ‘the more … the more’.

比较级在形容词上加-er,常见单音节形容词通常变音(groß → größer, alt → älter)。表语位置上的最高级用am + -sten,而定语最高级使用定冠词并加-ste,再带上适当的形容词词尾。比较级后常跟als(比)。“je … desto/umso”公式表达“越……,越……”。

Adj + -er + als (Komparativ)

am + Adj + -sten (Superlativ prädikativ)

der/die/das + Adj + -ste + Adjektivendung (Superlativ attributiv)

je + Komparativ, desto/umso + Komparativ

Examples:

例句:

Mein Bruder ist größer als ich.

我哥哥比我高。

Diese Aufgabe ist am schwierigsten.

这个任务是最难的。

Das ist der interessanteste Film, den ich je gesehen habe.

这是我看过的最有趣的电影。

Je mehr du übst, desto besser wirst du.

你练习得越多,就会变得越好。
