Through trial and error, I developed a set of strategies that lifted my grades from average to top of the class. Here I’m sharing my high-scorer’s toolkit so you can do the same.

Economics has its own language, and if you don’t know what ‘scarcity’ or ‘opportunity cost’ mean, you’ll struggle. I made it a habit to write down every new term and learn it with a real-life example.

The key is not just memorising the definition word-for-word, but being able to explain it in your own words. For instance, don’t just recall ‘opportunity cost is the next best alternative given up’—instead, think, ‘if I choose to study for an hour, I give up watching a movie with my friends’. That sticks.
