📚 KS3 Cambridge French: Formula & Theorem Quick Reference Handbook | KS3 Cambridge 法语:公式定理速查手册
Learning French at KS3 level is not just about memorising words; it is about understanding the underlying patterns and ‘formulas’ that make the language work. This handbook condenses the essential grammar rules, verb patterns and sentence structures into clear, reusable formulas. Treat each section as a tool you can apply again and again, whether you are talking about yourself, describing your school, or planning a weekend trip.
在KS3阶段学习法语不仅仅是记忆单词,更是理解让语言运转的那些深层模式和“公式”。这本手册将必需的语法规则、动词变化模式和句子结构浓缩成清晰、可重复使用的公式。把每一节都当作一个工具,无论你是在介绍自己、描述学校还是计划周末旅行,都可以反复应用。
1. Present Tense -ER Verbs Formula | 现在时 -ER 动词变位公式
Regular -ER verbs are the largest group of French verbs. To form the present tense, remove -er from the infinitive to get the stem, then add the correct endings. The formula is constant for all regular -ER verbs like parler (to speak), aimer (to like), and habiter (to live).
规则 -ER 动词是法语中最大的一组动词。构成现在时,从不定式中去掉 -er 得到词干,然后加上正确的词尾。这个公式对所有规则 -ER 动词都通用,例如 parler(说)、aimer(喜欢)和 habiter(居住)。
STEM + -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent
| Pronoun | Ending | Parler example |
|---|---|---|
| je (I) | -e | parle |
| tu (you singular informal) | -es | parles |
| il/elle/on (he/she/one) | -e | parle |
| nous (we) | -ons | parlons |
| vous (you plural/formal) | -ez | parlez |
| ils/elles (they m/f) | -ent | parlent |
This formula works for hundreds of verbs. Simply learn it once and apply it everywhere. Remember the silent -ent ending for ils/elles: the pronunciation is identical to the il/elle form in spoken French.
这个公式适用于数百个动词。只需学一次,到处都能用。记住 ils/elles 的词尾 -ent 不发音:在口语中发音与 il/elle 形式完全一样。
2. Key Irregular Verb Formulas: Être, Avoir, Faire, Aller | 关键不规则动词公式:être, avoir, faire, aller
These four verbs are the engine of everyday French. They do not follow regular patterns, so their present tense must be memorised as core formulas. Use the tables below as your reference.
这四个动词是日常法语的引擎。它们不遵循规则变化,因此它们的现在时形式必须作为核心公式来记忆。使用下面的表格作为你的参考。
| Subject | Être (to be) | Avoir (to have) | Faire (to do/make) | Aller (to go) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| je | suis | ai | fais | vais |
| tu | es | as | fais | vas |
| il/elle/on | est | a | fait | va |
| nous | sommes | avons | faisons | allons |
| vous | êtes | avez | faites | allez |
| ils/elles | sont | ont | font | vont |
A formula appears when combining these with infinitives: aller + infinitive expresses the near future, and faire + de + [sport/activity] talks about doing an activity. The verb avoir is essential for expressions of age and possession: J’ai douze ans (I am twelve).
当这些动词与不定式组合时,公式就出现了:aller + 不定式 表达最近将来时,faire + de + [运动/活动] 谈论进行某项活动。动词 avoir 对于表达年龄和拥有是必需的:J’ai douze ans (我十二岁)。
3. Adjective Agreement Formula | 形容词配合公式
French adjectives must match the gender and number of the noun they describe. The base form is masculine singular. The formula builds from that base.
法语形容词必须和它们所描述的名词在性、数上一致。基本形式是阳性单数。公式从这个基础建立起来。
Masc. sing. + -e → feminine sing.
Masc. sing. + -s → masculine plural
Feminine sing. + -s → feminine plural
Example: grand (tall, big) becomes grande, grands, grandes. However, some adjectives already end in -e in the masculine (like triste or rouge), so the feminine remains unchanged: un garçon triste, une fille triste. For adjectives ending in -eux, the feminine becomes -euse (heureux → heureuse). These are the patterns you need to memorise as sub-formulas.
例如:grand(高的、大的)变为 grande、grands、grandes。然而,有些形容词的阳性形式已经以 -e 结尾(如 triste 或 rouge),所以阴性保持不变:un garçon triste,une fille triste。对于以 -eux 结尾的形容词,阴性变为 -euse(heureux → heureuse)。这些模式需要作为子公式来记忆。
Position formula: most adjectives come after the noun, but certain common adjectives (beauty, age, goodness, size – BAGS) appear before the noun: une belle maison, un petit chat.
位置公式:大多数形容词放在名词之后,但某些常见形容词(美、龄、善、尺寸 – 简称为 BAGS)出现在名词之前:une belle maison,un petit chat.
4. Articles and Partitive Formulas | 冠词和部分冠词公式
Choosing the correct article is a matter of applying clear formulas based on gender, number and the first letter of the noun.
选择正确的冠词就是根据名词的性、数和首字母应用清晰的公式。
Definite: le (m.sg) / la (f.sg) / l’ (before vowel or h) / les (plural)
Indefinite: un (m) / une (f) / des (plural)
Partitive: du (m) / de la (f) / de l’ (before vowel) / des (plural)
When expressing a quantity or a part of something, the partitive formula is used: Je voudrais du pain (I would like some bread). The negative form replaces the partitive with de (or d’): Je ne veux pas de lait (I don’t want any milk).
当表达数量或某物的一部分时,使用部分冠词公式:Je voudrais du pain(我想要些面包)。否定形式用 de(或 d’)代替部分冠词:Je ne veux pas de lait(我一点牛奶也不想要)。
- After expressions of quantity (beaucoup de, un kilo de), always use de alone.
- 在数量表达之后(beaucoup de, un kilo de),总是单独使用 de。
5. Negation Formula: ne … pas | 否定公式:ne … pas
The standard negation wraps around the conjugated verb. It is a fundamental sentence-building formula.
标准否定结构包裹住变位动词。这是一个基本的造句公式。
Subject + ne (n’ before vowel) + conjugated verb + pas + …
Examples: Je ne parle pas anglais. (I do not speak English.) Il n’aime pas les légumes. (He does not like vegetables.) In the near future using aller + infinitive, the ne … pas surrounds aller: Je ne vais pas faire mes devoirs. (I am not going to do my homework.)
例子:Je ne parle pas anglais.(我不说英语。)Il n’aime pas les légumes.(他不喜欢蔬菜。)在使用 aller + 不定式的最近将来时中,ne … pas 包围 aller:Je ne vais pas faire mes devoirs.(我不打算做作业。)
Other negative expressions follow the same pattern: ne … jamais (never), ne … plus (no longer), ne … rien (nothing).
其他否定表达遵循同样的模式:ne … jamais(从不),ne … plus(不再),ne … rien(没有什么)。
6. Question Formation Formulas | 疑问句构成公式
There are three main ways to form Yes/No questions in spoken and written French from KS3 onwards. Each follows a fixed formula.
从KS3开始,法语口语和书面语中有三种主要方式来构成一般疑问句。每一种都遵循固定的公式。
1. Intonation: Statement + rising tone?
2. Est-ce que + statement?
3. Inversion: (Verb)-(hyphen)-subject pronoun?
Intonation is simplest: Tu aimes le chocolat? (Do you like chocolate?) with a rising voice at the end.
语调 最简单:Tu aimes le chocolat?(你喜欢巧克力吗?)句尾用升调。
Est-ce que is safe and extremely common: Est-ce que tu aimes le chocolat? It always goes at the beginning and the rest of the sentence stays in normal word order.
Est-ce que 安全且极其常用:Est-ce que tu aimes le chocolat? 它总是放在句首,句子其余部分保持正常语序。
Inversion swaps the pronoun and the verb, linked by a hyphen: Aimes-tu le chocolat? For third person singular with a vowel, a -t- is inserted: A-t-il un chien? (Does he have a dog?) This is more formal but appears in KS3 reading tasks.
倒装 交换代词和动词,用连字符连接:Aimes-tu le chocolat? 对于第三人称单数且动词以元音开头,插入 -t-:A-t-il un chien?(他有一条狗吗?)这更正式,但会出现在KS3阅读任务中。
7. Near Future Formula: aller + infinitive | 最近将来时公式:aller + 不定式
To talk about upcoming plans or events, KS3 French relies on the near future construction. It is one of the most powerful formulas for expressing the future without learning the actual future tense conjugations.
为了谈论即将发生的计划或事件,KS3法语依赖于最近将来时结构。这是表达将来时最强大的公式之一,无需学习真正的将来时变位。
Conjugated form of ALLER + INFINITIVE (of the action verb)
For example: Je vais regarder la télé. (I am going to watch TV.) Nous allons manger une pizza. (We are going to eat a pizza.) Elle va faire du vélo. (She is going to go cycling.)
例如:Je vais regarder la télé.(我要去看电视。)Nous allons manger une pizza.(我们要去吃披萨。)Elle va faire du vélo.(她要去骑自行车。)
The negation surrounds aller: Je ne vais pas sortir. (I am not going to go out.) In questions, apply the previous formulas: Est-ce que tu vas jouer? or Vas-tu jouer?
否定形式包围 aller:Je ne vais pas sortir.(我不打算出去。)在疑问句中,应用前面的公式:Est-ce que tu vas jouer? 或者 Vas-tu jouer?
8. Passé Composé Formula: Avoir + Past Participle | 复合过去时公式:avoir + 过去分词
The passé composé is introduced in KS3 to talk about completed past actions. The basic formula uses the present tense of avoir plus the past participle of the main verb.
复合过去时在KS3中引入,用于谈论完成的过去动作。基本公式使用 avoir 的现在时加上主动词的过去分词。
Present of AVOIR (or ÊTRE for certains verbs) + PAST PARTICIPLE
For -ER verbs, the past participle is formed by replacing -er with -é: parler → parlé, manger → mangé. For -IR verbs like finir, replace -ir with -i: finir → fini. For -RE verbs like vendre, replace -re with -u: vendre → vendu. Common irregular past participles: avoir → eu, être → été, faire → fait.
对于 -ER 动词,将 -er 替换为 -é 构成过去分词:parler → parlé,manger → mangé。对于 -IR 动词如 finir,将 -ir 替换为 -i:finir → fini。对于 -RE 动词如 vendre,将 -re 替换为 -u:vendre → vendu。常见的不规则过去分词:avoir → eu,être → été,faire → fait。
Formula in action: J’ai regardé un film. (I watched a film.) Il a vendu sa voiture. (He sold his car.) A small group of verbs uses être as the auxiliary, and the past participle agrees with the subject: Elle est allée (She went). These are often remembered by the acronym DR MRS VANDERTRAMP.
公式实例:J’ai regardé un film.(我看了一部电影。)Il a vendu sa voiture.(他卖掉了他的车。)一小部分动词使用 être 作为助动词,过去分词与主语性数一致:Elle est allée(她去了)。这些常通过缩略词 DR MRS VANDERTRAMP 来记忆。
9. Direct Object Pronoun Formula | 直接宾语代词公式
To avoid repetition, direct object pronouns replace the noun that receives the action. The formula determines their placement before the conjugated verb, or before the infinitive in two-verb constructions.
为了避免重复,直接宾语代词替换接受动作的名词。公式决定它们在变位动词前的位置,或在双动词结构中在不定式前的位置。
me, te, le/la, nous, vous, les + conjugated verb
OR + infinitive (with two-verb structure)
Examples: Je mange la pomme. → Je la mange. (I eat it – feminine.) Tu aimes les chats? Oui, je les aime. (Do you like cats? Yes, I like them.) With two verbs: Je vais acheter le livre. → Je vais l’acheter. (I am going to buy it.) The pronoun moves between the semi-auxiliary and the infinitive.
例子:Je mange la pomme. → Je la mange.(我吃它。)Tu aimes les chats? Oui, je les aime.(你喜欢猫吗?是的,我喜欢它们。)两个动词时:Je vais acheter le livre. → Je vais l’acheter.(我要买它。)代词移到半助动词和不定式之间。
In the passé composé, the direct object pronoun comes before the auxiliary, and the past participle must agree with the preceding direct object pronoun: J’ai acheté la robe. Je l’ai achetée. (I bought it – agreeing with la robe feminine.)
在复合过去时中,直接宾语代词放在助动词之前,过去分词必须与前置的直接宾语代词性数一致:J’ai acheté la robe. Je l’ai achetée.(我买了它——与阴性名词 la robe 一致。)
10. Time and Date Formulas | 时间和日期公式
Telling time and stating dates follow rigid formulas that must be used precisely in French.
报时和陈述日期遵循在法语中必须精确使用的严格公式。
Time: Il est + [hour] + heure(s) + (et quart / et demie / moins le quart)
12h: Il est midi / minuit
Date: le + cardinal number + month + (year)
For time: Il est trois heures. (It is 3 o’clock.) Il est sept heures et demie. (7:30) Il est dix heures moins le quart. (9:45) The 24-hour clock is often used in official contexts: Le train part à 16h15. (The train leaves at 4.15 pm.)
对于时间:Il est trois heures.(三点。)Il est sept heures et demie.(七点半。)Il est dix heures moins le quart.(九点四十五分。)在官方语境中常用24小时制:Le train part à 16h15.(火车下午4点15分开。)
For dates: Aujourd’hui, c’est le 5 mars. (Today is the 5th of March.) The only exception is the first of the month, which uses premier: le 1er avril (the 1st of April). Days of the week are not capitalised in French: lundi, mardi, mercredi, etc.
对于日期:Aujourd’hui, c’est le 5 mars.(今天是3月5日。)唯一的例外是每月第一天,使用 premier:le 1er avril(4月1日)。星期几在法语中不用大写:lundi, mardi, mercredi 等。
11. Prepositions of Place and Geography Formulas | 地点和地理介词公式
Prepositions before cities, countries and places follow logical formulas based on gender and the nature of the place.
城市、国家和地点的介词根据性别和地点的性质遵循逻辑公式。
à + city: Je vais à Paris.
au (m.sg.), en (f.sg.), aux (plural) + country/continent: Je vais en France, au Canada, aux États-Unis.
For being in a place, the formula changes:
être à Paris, être en France, être au Canada, être aux États-Unis.
在某个地方,公式变化:
être à Paris, être en France, être au Canada, être aux États-Unis.
For coming from a place, use de (d’), du, des: Je viens de Londres, je viens de France, je viens du Canada, je viens des États-Unis. With feminine and vowel-starting names, de remains: de France, d’Italie.
对于来自某地,使用 de (d’)、du、des:Je viens de Londres, je viens de France, je viens du Canada, je viens des États-Unis. 与阴性或以元音开头的名称连用时,保持 de:de France, d’Italie.
12. Sentence Structure and Link Words Formula | 句子结构和连接词公式
Moving beyond simple sentences, link words create complex structures that earn higher marks in writing and speaking. The basic formula connects two clauses using a comma or a conjunction.
超越简单句子,连接词创造出在写作和口语中能获得更高分数的复杂结构。基本公式使用逗号或连词连接两个分句。
Clause 1 + , + link word + Clause 2
Useful KS3 link words:
- parce que (because): J’aime le sport parce que c’est amusant.
- mais (but): Il est petit mais il est fort.
- et (and): Je prends le bus et je vais au collège.
- ou (or): Tu veux un thé ou un café?
- donc (so, therefore): Il pleut, donc je prends un parapluie.
- quand (when): Quand il fait beau, je sors.
常用的KS3连接词:
- parce que(因为):J’aime le sport parce que c’est amusant.
- mais(但是):Il est petit mais il est fort.
- et(和):Je prends le bus et je vais au collège.
- ou(或者):Tu veux un thé ou un café?
- donc(所以):Il pleut, donc je prends un parapluie.
- quand(当……的时候):Quand il fait beau, je sors.
Remember the inversion rule with quand: if the quand clause comes first, the main clause often uses inversion or est-ce que in formal writing, but at KS3 simple word order is acceptable: Quand j’ai faim, je mange un snack.
记住 quand 的倒装规则:如果 quand 引导的从句在前,主句在正式写作中常使用倒装或 est-ce que,但在KS3阶段简单语序是可接受的:Quand j’ai faim, je mange un snack.(当我饿的时候,我吃零食。)
