Statistics is the branch of mathematics concerned with collecting, organising, displaying, analysing and interpreting information. It allows us to spot patterns, draw conclusions and make predictions based on evidence. In daily life, statistics appears in weather forecasts, sports performance, opinion polls and school reports.

At KS3, you will learn to write probabilities based on equally likely outcomes. For example, the probability of rolling a 3 on a fair six-sided die is 1/6.
