A common reason for losing marks in A-Level CAIE Geography is not missing knowledge, but repeating flawed assumptions that examiners see every year. In both AS and A2 papers, definitions and causal explanations are marked precisely, so a single confused word can weaken an entire answer. This article examines ten widespread misconceptions and provides the corrections you should use in Paper 1 and Paper 2, as well as in the physical and human options.
