Three aims should guide your summer preparation: preview, organise and practise. IGCSE Physical Education often asks you to identify and describe. A-Level asks you to explain, apply and evaluate. The biggest shift is synoptic thinking. In A-Level PE you might be asked to link a physiological response, such as increased heart rate, to a psychological state, such as anxiety, and then evaluate the impact on performance. Summer bridging helps you practise making these links early.
