The CIE IGCSE Chinese course is a balanced programme that tests listening, reading, speaking and writing in Mandarin. It is ideal for students who want to use Chinese for study, travel or work, and it provides a strong foundation for A-Level Chinese.

1. Overview of CIE IGCSE Chinese | CIE IGCSE 中文课程概览
The current CIE IGCSE Chinese as a Foreign Language syllabus (0547) is organised around three broad content areas: everyday activities, personal and social life, and the world around us. There is also a First Language Chinese syllabus (0509) for native speakers, but most international learners take 0547.

The syllabus lists several topic areas: everyday life, personal and social life, the world around us, work and education, travel and transport, entertainment and culture, and current events.
