IELTS Speaking High-Score Sentence Patterns and Formulas | 雅思口语高分句型公式归纳

📚 IELTS Speaking High-Score Sentence Patterns and Formulas | 雅思口语高分句型公式归纳

In IELTS Speaking, fluency and coherence are not about speaking fast; they are about linking ideas clearly and naturally. By memorising a set of flexible sentence formulas, you can respond quickly, structure your answers logically, and impress the examiner with a range of grammatical forms. This article presents ten powerful formulas that you can adapt to any topic.

在雅思口语考试中,流利度与连贯性并不等于语速快,而是要求你自然、清晰地把观点串联起来。通过掌握一组灵活多变的句型公式,你可以快速组织答案、让逻辑更严谨,并且向考官展示多样的语法结构。这篇文章将为你整理十种高分手句型公式,可灵活运用于任何话题。

1. The “Opinion + Reason” Formula | 观点+理由公式

This is the most basic and useful formula for IELTS Speaking. When the examiner asks “Do you like…?” or “What do you think about…?”, you can answer directly with an opinion, then immediately give a reason.

这是雅思口语中最基础也最实用的公式。当考官问到“你喜欢……吗?”或“你怎么看待……?”时,你可以先直接表明观点,然后立刻给出理由。

  • Formula: From my perspective, [opinion] mainly because [reason].

    公式:从我的角度来看,[观点],主要是因为[理由]。

  • Example: From my perspective, studying abroad is valuable mainly because it encourages students to become independent.

    示例:从我的角度来看,出国留学很有价值,主要是因为它能让学生变得更加独立。

  • Variation: The way I see it, [opinion] simply because [reason].

    变体:在我看来,[观点],仅仅是因为[理由]。

Avoid saying “I think” in every answer. Replacing it with “From my perspective”, “Personally”, or “The way I see it” makes your language more varied and formal.

不要在每个回答中都使用“I think”。改用“From my perspective”、“Personally”或“The way I see it”能让你的语言更多样、更正式。

2. The “Giving Examples” Formula | 举例说明公式

Examiners reward answers that include concrete examples. A vague answer like “It’s good” is far weaker than one supported by a specific situation.

考官非常重视包含具体例子的回答。像“It’s good”这样模糊的回答,远不如有具体情境支撑的观点有说服力。

  • Formula: For instance, … A good case in point is …

    公式:例如……一个很好的例子是……

  • Example: Many cities suffer from traffic congestion. For instance, in Shanghai, the morning rush hour can turn a twenty-minute journey into an hour-long trip.

    示例:许多城市都面临交通堵塞的问题。例如,在上海,早高峰时段原本二十分钟的车程可能会变成一个小时的行程。

  • Advanced formula: Take … as an example. If you look at …, you will notice that …

    进阶公式:以……为例。如果你看看……,你会注意到……

Do not simply put “for example” in front of a vague statement. The example must be specific enough for the examiner to visualise it.

不要简单地在模糊表述前加上“for example”。你的例子必须足够具体,让考官能够在脑海中形成画面。

3. The “Cause and Effect” Formula | 因果分析公式

Part 3 questions often ask “Why…?” or “What causes…?”. To score high, you need to link the cause to the effect logically.

Part 3 经常出现“为什么……?”或“是什么导致……?”的问题。要获得高分,你需要把原因和结果逻辑清晰地联系起来。

  • Formula: This is largely due to … As a result, …

    公式:这主要是因为……因此,……

  • Example: The popularity of online shopping is largely due to its convenience. As a result, many physical stores are struggling to attract customers.

    示例:网络购物的流行主要归功于它的便利性。因此,许多实体店正难以吸引顾客。

  • Alternative: The main cause of … is … This leads to …

    替代表达:……的主要原因是……这导致了……

For a more advanced answer, use “Consequently” or “Therefore” instead of “so”. This demonstrates a wider command of linking words.

为了让回答更高级,可以用“Consequently”或“Therefore”替代“so”。这能展示你对连接词的更丰富掌握。

4. The “Contrast and Concession” Formula | 对比让步公式

In academic speaking, a balanced answer is highly valued. You can acknowledge an opposing view before firmly stating your own position.

在学术性表达中,平衡的观点非常受重视。你可以先承认对方的看法,再坚定地表达自己的立场。

  • Formula: While it is true that …, I would argue that …

    公式:虽然……确实如此,但我认为……

  • Example: While it is true that social media makes communication easier, I would argue that it has weakened face-to-face relationships.

    示例:虽然社交媒体确实让交流变得更方便,但我认为它削弱了面对面的关系。

  • Alternative: Admittedly, … However, …

    替代表达:诚然……然而……

You can also use “Even though” at the beginning of a sentence. Remember to use a comma after the subordinate clause.

你也可以在句首使用“Even though”。请记住,在从句之后要加逗号。

5. The “Speculation and Prediction” Formula | 推测未来公式

Many Part 3 questions ask about the future: “What will happen in the future?” or “Will this trend continue?” You need modal verbs and speculative expressions.

许多 Part 3 问题会问到未来:“未来会发生什么?”或“这种趋势会持续下去吗?”你需要使用情态动词和推测性表达。

  • Formula: I’d imagine that … It seems likely that …

    公式:我可以想象……似乎很可能……

  • Example: I’d imagine that remote work will become more common in the next decade. It seems likely that companies will invest more in digital tools.

    示例:我可以想象,在未来十年,远程办公会变得更加普遍。公司似乎很可能会投入更多去发展数字工具。

  • Conditional formula: Provided that … , then …

    条件公式:如果……,那么……

Avoid saying “I think will” too often. Use “I guess”, “There’s a good chance that”, or “It’s highly possible that” to sound more natural and flexible.

不要频繁使用“I think will”。可以用“I guess”、“There’s a good chance that”或“It’s highly possible that”来让语气更自然、更灵活。

6. The “Narrative Sequence” Formula | 叙事顺序公式

In Part 2, you often need to tell a story. To make the story easy to follow, use clear time markers and sequencing language.

在 Part 2 中,你常常需要讲述一件往事。为了让故事清晰易懂,请使用明确的时间标记和顺序连接词。

  • Formula: At first, … Then, … After that, … Eventually, …

    公式:起初……然后……之后……最后……

  • Example: At first, I felt nervous about the presentation. Then I practiced for three days. After that, I became more confident. Eventually, I delivered it successfully.

    示例:起初,我对演讲感到紧张。然后我练习了三天。之后,我变得更有信心。最后,我成功地完成了演讲。

For a richer story, add interruptions: “Just when I thought…, … happened.” This creates suspense and makes your narrative more engaging.

为了让故事更丰富,可以加入转折:“Just when I thought…, … happened.” 这能制造悬念,让叙述更有吸引力。

7. The “Description with Sensory Details” Formula | 感官描述公式

When describing a place, object, or person, avoid flat adjectives like “good” or “beautiful”. Instead, describe what you saw, heard, or felt.

在描述地点、物品或人物时,不要使用“good”或“beautiful”这类平淡的形容词,而是去描述你看到、听到或感受到的东西。

  • Formula: What impressed me most was … I could see … and hear …

    公式:最让我印象深刻的是……我能看到……听到……

  • Example: What impressed me most was the atmosphere. I could see families laughing together and hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

    示例:最让我印象深刻的是那里的氛围。我能看到一家人在欢笑,还能听到海浪拍打海岸的声音。

  • Extension: The most striking thing was … It felt as if …

    扩展:最引人注目的是……感觉就像是……

This formula helps you extend your answer naturally. It gives the examiner a clear mental image and proves your lexical resource.

这个公式能帮助你自然扩展答案。它让考官产生清晰的画面感,同时也证明了你的词汇丰富度。

8. The “Hypothetical and Conditional” Formula | 虚拟条件公式

Hypothetical questions, such as “If you could live anywhere, where would you live?”, require the second conditional. Using the third conditional correctly is a strong sign of band 7+ grammar.

假设性问题,比如“如果你可以住在任何地方,你会住在哪里?”,需要使用与现在事实相反的虚拟语气。而正确使用与过去事实相反的虚拟语气,则是7分及以上的明显标志。

  • Formula: If I had the chance, I would … Were it possible, I’d …

    公式:如果我有机会,我会……如果可能的话,我会……

  • Example: If I had the chance, I would live by the sea because I love the sense of calm it gives me.

    示例:如果我有机会,我会住在海边,因为我喜欢它带给我的平静感。

  • Past hypothetical: If I hadn’t attended that summer camp, I would never have met my best friend.

    过去虚拟:如果我没有参加那个夏令营,我就永远不会遇到我最好的朋友。

Notice the structure “Were it possible” is a formal inversion. It is more impressive than the standard “If it were possible”.

注意“Were it possible”是一个正式的倒装结构,比标准的“If it were possible”更能给考官留下深刻印象。

9. The “Preference and Comparison” Formula | 偏好比较公式

When the examiner asks “Do you prefer A or B?”, do not simply say “I prefer A”. Explain the comparison and the reason behind it.

当考官问到“你更喜欢A还是B?”时,不要只说“我更喜欢A”。请说明比较的理由和原因。

  • Formula: Compared with X, Y is much more … I tend to prefer Y because …

    公式:与X相比,Y更加……我倾向于喜欢Y,因为……

  • Example: Compared with watching films at home, going to the cinema is much more immersive. I tend to prefer going to the cinema because the big screen makes me feel part of the story.

    示例:与在家看电影相比,去电影院更加有沉浸感。我倾向于去电影院,因为大屏幕让我感觉自己参与了故事。

  • Alternative: X appeals to me more than Y. The reason is simple: …

    替代表达:X比Y更吸引我。原因很简单:……

Use comparative structures like “far more”, “considerably cheaper”, or “not nearly as convenient” to show fine control over grammar.

使用“far more”、“considerably cheaper”或“not nearly as convenient”等比较结构,展示你对语法的精细掌握。

10. The “Reformulation and Paraphrase” Formula | 转述改写公式

All candidates hesitate sometimes. The best speakers do not hide their hesitation; they restate their idea in a more precise way. This is called reformulation, and it is a feature of band 7+ fluency.

所有考生都会有时结巴。优秀的口语者不会掩饰自己的犹豫,而是用更精确的方式重新表达观点。这叫做“转述改写”,是7分及以上流利度的重要特征。

  • Formula: What I mean is … In other words, … Or rather, …

    公式:我的意思是……换句话说……或者更准确地说……

  • Example: I really enjoy travelling alone. What I mean is, I like having complete freedom to change my plan at any moment.

    示例:我真的很喜欢独自旅行。我的意思是,我喜欢拥有随时改变计划的完全自由。

  • Self-correction formula: Actually, I should say … Let me put it another way.

    自我修正公式:事实上,我应该说……让我换一种方式表达。

Using reformulation does not lower your score. On the contrary, it shows the examiner that you are monitoring your language and aiming for precision.

使用转述改写并不会扣分。相反,它向考官表明你在监控自己的语言,并力求表达精准。
