When someone says “Merci” to you, you should reply “De rien” (duh ree-en), which means “You’re welcome”.

Try this sentence: “Voici ma maman” means “Here is my mum”. Can you make a sentence about your own family?

Fun fact: “Le chat dit miaou” means “The cat says meow”. In French, animals make some very interesting sounds too!

7. Days of the Week | 星期
There are seven days in a week. Let us learn how to say them in French. This will help you talk about your plans!

Notice that in French, the days of the week are not written with capital letters. Aujourd’hui (oh-zhoor-dwee) means “today”. Demain (duh-man) means “tomorrow”.

8. Simple Phrases | 简单短语

Try this little conversation with a friend. One person says “Comment ça va?” and the other replies “Ça va bien, merci!” Then switch roles.
