English proficiency is an essential requirement for study and visa purposes. Most majors stipulate that the total score of the IELTS test is 6.5, and the scores in each individual component cannot be lower than 6.:0. For example, the University of Cambridge usually requires an overall IELTS score of 7.5, and no individual component can be lower than 7.0.
