1. Understanding the Cambridge Engineering Course |

The Engineering course at Cambridge is a four-year integrated programme leading to a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree. The first two years provide a broad foundation in mechanical, structural, electrical, and information engineering, alongside mathematics and design skills. In the third and fourth years, you specialise in areas such as aerothermal engineering, civil engineering, or electrical and electronic engineering.

The course places a strong emphasis on practical project work, with regular lab sessions, design-and-make exercises, and a major project in the final year. This hands-on approach distinguishes Cambridge from many other engineering programmes and is one of the reasons employers value its graduates so highly.

2. Entry Requirements & Qualifications |

The typical A-level offer for Cambridge Engineering is A*A*A, with A*s in Mathematics and Physics. For students taking the IB, a total of 40–42 points with 7,7,6 in Higher Level subjects, including Mathematics and Physics, is usually required. Other qualifications such as Scottish Advanced Highers, Cambridge Pre-U, and various international qualifications are also accepted, but the standard is consistently high.
