1. Case Study 1: Greetings and Self-Introduction | 案例1:问候与自我介绍

Marie and Paul meet for the first time outside their new classroom. Listen to how they use basic greetings, ask each other’s name and age, and respond naturally. This short dialogue contains the essential building blocks for any first conversation in French.

Marie 和 Paul 在新教室外第一次见面。听听他们如何用基本的问候语,询问对方的名字和年龄,并自然地回应。这组简短对话包含任何法语初次交谈所需的基本构件。

Marie: Bonjour ! Je m’appelle Marie. Et toi ?
Paul: Salut ! Moi, c’est Paul. Ça va ?
Marie: Ça va bien, merci. Et toi ?
Paul: Ça va. Tu as quel âge ?
Marie: J’ai douze ans.
Paul: Moi aussi. Enchanté !

Marie: 你好!我叫 Marie。你呢?
Paul: 嗨!我是 Paul。你好吗?
Marie: 很好,谢谢。你呢?
Paul: 还行。你几岁?
Marie: 我十二岁。
Paul: 我也是。幸会!

Key vocabulary extracted from this case: Bonjour (Hello), Salut (Hi), Je m’appelle … (My name is …), Et toi ? (And you?), Ça va ? (How are you?), Ça va bien/mal (I’m fine/not well), Merci (Thank you), Tu as quel âge ? (How old are you?), J’ai douze ans (I am twelve years old), Enchanté (Nice to meet you). Notice that ‘Enchanté’ agrees with the speaker’s gender – a boy would say ‘Enchanté’, while a girl says ‘Enchantée’, though the pronunciation is identical.

从该案例提取的关键词汇:Bonjour(你好),Salut(嗨),Je m’appelle …(我叫……),Et toi ?(你呢?),Ça va ?(你好吗?),Ça va bien/mal(我很好/不好),Merci(谢谢),Tu as quel âge ?(你几岁?),J’ai douze ans(我12岁),Enchanté(幸会)。注意 ‘Enchanté’ 要与说话人的性别保持一致——男孩说 ‘Enchanté’,女孩说 ‘Enchantée’,但发音完全相同。

Grammar spotlight: The verb ‘s’appeler’ (to be called) is reflexive, so you literally say ‘I call myself…’ – je m’appelle. ‘Avoir’ (to have) is used for age in French: ‘J’ai douze ans’ means ‘I have twelve years’. ‘Tu as’ is the informal ‘you have’ form. The question ‘Tu as quel âge ?’ places the question word after the verb, which is a common informal pattern.

语法聚焦:动词 ‘s’appeler’(名叫)是自反动词,字面意思是“我称呼自己为……”——je m’appelle。法语中用 ‘avoir’(有)表示年龄:’J’ai douze ans’ 意思是“我有十二岁”。’Tu as’ 是非正式的“你有”形式。疑问句 ‘Tu as quel âge ?’ 把疑问词放在动词之后,这是一种常见的非正式句式。

Now it is your turn. Complete the drill by filling in the blanks with the correct French word. The answers are provided afterwards.

现在轮到你了。用正确的法语单词填空完成练习,随后提供答案。

  • 1. Bonjour ! Je _______ Marie. (m’appelle)
  • 2. Salut ! Ça _______ ? (va)
  • 3. – Ça va ? – Ça va _______, merci. (bien)
  • 4. Tu as _______ âge ? (quel)
  • 5. J’_______ douze ans. (ai)

2. Case Study 2: Numbers and Age | 案例2:数字与年龄

In this case, Paul is filling in a form for the school library. The librarian asks him a few questions about his siblings and their ages. Numbers from 1 to 31 are vital here, not just for age but also for dates and quantities.

在这个案例中,Paul 正在填写学校图书馆的表格。图书管理员问了他几个关于弟姐妹及其年龄的问题。数字 1 到 31 在这里至关重要,不仅用于年龄,还用于日期和数量。

Librarian: Combien de frères et sœurs as-tu ?
Paul: J’ai un frère et deux sœurs.
Librarian: Quel âge a ta sœur aînée ?
Paul: Elle a quatorze ans.
Librarian: Et ton frère ?
Paul: Il a neuf ans.

图书管理员:你有几个兄弟姐妹?
Paul:我有一个哥哥和两个妹妹。
图书管理员:你最大的妹妹几岁?
Paul:她十四岁。
图书管理员:那你弟弟呢?
Paul:他九岁。

Numbers 1–20: un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix, onze, douze, treize, quatorze, quinze, seize, dix-sept, dix-huit, dix-neuf, vingt. From 21 to 31, we use ‘vingt et un’, ‘vingt-deux’, etc., up to ‘trente et un’. Practise saying ‘quatorze’ and ‘quinze’ carefully – they are often confused by beginners.

数字 1–20:un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix, onze, douze, treize, quatorze, quinze, seize, dix-sept, dix-huit, dix-neuf, vingt。从 21 到 31,我们用 ‘vingt et un’、’vingt-deux’ 等,直到 ‘trente et un’。仔细练习 ‘quatorze’ 和 ‘quinze’ 的发音——初学者经常混淆。

Important structure: ‘Combien de’ + plural noun is used to ask ‘How many…?’. The answer uses ‘J’ai … frères/sœurs’. Remember that ‘un frère’ and ‘une sœur’ use the correct indefinite article. The verb ‘avoir’ must agree: il a, elle a.

重要结构:’Combien de’ + 复数名词用来询问“多少……?”回答用 ‘J’ai … frères/sœurs’。记住 ‘un frère’(一个哥哥/弟弟)和 ‘une sœur’(一个姐姐/妹妹)要用正确的定冠词。动词 ‘avoir’ 必须一致:il a, elle a。

Drill: Write the following ages in French. Answers are given.

练习:用法语写出以下年龄。答案已给出。

  • 1. I am 11 years old → J’______ onze ans. (ai)
  • 2. She is 8 → Elle a ______ ans. (huit)
  • 3. He is 15 → Il a ______ ans. (quinze)
  • 4. How many sisters do you have? → Combien de ______ as-tu ? (sœurs)

3. Case Study 3: Colours and Descriptions | 案例3:颜色与物品描述

Marie is describing her school bag and stationery to a new friend. This case focuses on colour adjectives and the agreement of adjectives with masculine and feminine nouns. Even simple adjectives like ‘bleu’ and ‘rouge’ change spelling depending on the noun.

Marie 在向一位新朋友描述她的书包和文具。这个案例重点在于颜色形容词以及形容词与阳性和阴性名词的配合。即便是 ‘bleu’ 和 ‘rouge’ 这样简单的形容词,其拼写也会根据名词发生变化。

Marie: Regarde mon sac. Il est bleu. Et ma trousse ? Elle est rouge. J’ai aussi un stylo vert et une règle jaune. Mon cahier est blanc et ma gomme est blanche. Tu aimes ?

Marie:看我的书包。它是蓝色的。我的文具盒呢?它是红色的。我还有一支绿色的笔和一把黄色的尺子。我的笔记本是白色的,我的橡皮是白色的。你喜欢吗?

Colour adjectives must agree in gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural) with the noun they describe. For example: un sac bleu (m), une trousse bleue (f). ‘Rouge’ stays the same: un stylo rouge, une règle rouge. ‘Vert’ becomes ‘verte’ in feminine. ‘Blanc’ becomes ‘blanche’. Always check the final letters.

颜色形容词必须与它们所修饰的名词在性(阳性/阴性)和数(单数/复数)上一致。例如:un sac bleu(阳性),une trousse bleue(阴性)。’Rouge’ 保持不变:un stylo rouge, une règle rouge。’Vert’ 在阴性中变为 ‘verte’。’Blanc’ 变为 ‘blanche’。请始终检查词尾字母。

A helpful table of common colours and their agreements:

常见颜色及其配合规则的实用表格:

Masculine sing. Feminine sing. Meaning
bleu bleue blue
vert verte green
blanc blanche white
noir noire black
rouge rouge red
jaune jaune yellow

Quick drill: Choose the correct form for each sentence. Answers supplied.

快速练习:选择每个句子的正确形式。提供答案。

  • 1. Une voiture (bleu / bleue) → bleue
  • 2. Un tableau (vert / verte) → vert
  • 3. Une maison (blanc / blanche) → blanche
  • 4. Des stylos (noirs / noires) → noirs (masculine plural)

4. Case Study 4: Family and Pets | 案例4:家庭与宠物

Paul is showing his family photo album to Marie. He introduces his parents, siblings and even his dog. This context is perfect for practising possessive adjectives (mon, ma, mes) and the verb ‘s’appeler’ for other people.

Possessive adjectives: mon (my, before masculine singular noun or before a vowel), ma (my, before feminine singular), mes (my, plural). Because ‘mère’ is feminine, we say ‘ma mère’, but ‘père’ is masculine: ‘mon père’. Whenever a feminine word begins with a vowel, use ‘mon’ to avoid the clash: ‘mon amie’ (not ma amie).

主有形容词:mon(我的,用在阳性单数名词前或元音前),ma(我的,用在阴性单数名词前),mes(我的,复数)。由于 ‘mère’ 是阴性,我们说 ‘ma mère’,而 ‘père’ 是阳性:’mon père’。当一个阴性单词以元音开头时,为避免冲突应使用 ‘mon’:’mon amie’(而不是 ma amie)。

Verb note: ‘s’appeler’ conjugates for different subjects: je m’appelle, tu t’appelles, il/elle s’appelle. In the dialogue, ‘Elle s’appelle Claire’ means ‘She is called Claire’. The reflexive pronoun changes: me, te, se.

动词注解:’s’appeler’ 随不同主语变位:je m’appelle, tu t’appelles, il/elle s’appelle。对话中 ‘Elle s’appelle Claire’ 意思是“她叫 Claire”。自反代词会发生变化:me, te, se。

Drill: Fill in the correct possessive adjective and the correct form of ‘s’appeler’.

练习:填入正确的主有形容词和 ‘s’appeler’ 的正确形式。

  • 1. ______ frère s’______ Luc. (Mon, appelle)
  • 2. ______ sœur s’______ Léa. (Ma, appelle)
  • 3. ______ parents s’______ Claire et Marc. (Mes, appellent – careful: ils s’appellent)

5. Case Study 5: School Subjects and Timetable | 案例5:学校科目与时间表

Marie and Paul compare their timetables for Monday. They mention subjects, times and give simple opinions. This is a core topic for Year 7 and uses the verbs ‘avoir’ (to have a lesson) and expressions like ‘j’aime’.

Marie: 是的,我喜欢法语。它很有趣。

Vocabulary for subjects: les maths, l’anglais, le français, le sport, l’histoire, la géographie, les sciences. Notice that most subjects use the definite article (le, la, l’, les). When expressing likes and dislikes, we keep the article: ‘J’aime le sport’. To say ‘I don’t like’, use ‘Je n’aime pas’. For strong liking, ‘J’adore’.

科目词汇:les maths(数学)、l’anglais(英语)、le français(法语)、le sport(体育)、l’histoire(历史)、la géographie(地理)、les sciences(科学)。注意多数科目前要加定冠词(le, la, l’, les)。在表达喜好时,我们保留冠词:’J’aime le sport’。要表达“我不喜欢”,用 ‘Je n’aime pas’。表示非常喜欢:’J’adore’。

Telling time: ‘à neuf heures’ means at 9 o’clock. The 24-hour clock is not needed here. Just say the hour. For ‘half past’, use ‘et demie’: ‘à neuf heures et demie’. For ‘quarter past’, use ‘et quart’.

时间表达:’à neuf heures’ 表示在9点。这里不需要24小时制,直接说钟点即可。表示“半”用 ‘et demie’:’à neuf heures et demie’(九点半)。表示“一刻”用 ‘et quart’:’à neuf heures et quart’(九点一刻)。

Drill: Translate the timetable sentences into French. Use the model above.

练习:将课程表句子翻译成法语。参考上述模式。
