2. Case Study: In the Classroom | 案例研究:在课堂上
Scenario: The teacher asks questions about objects in the classroom.

Nouns in German have grammatical gender: masculine (der), feminine (die), and neuter (das). ‘Der Tisch’ (table) is masculine, ‘die Tafel’ (board) is feminine, ‘das Buch’ (book) is neuter.
德语名词有语法性别:阳性 (der)、阴性 (die)、中性 (das)。’der Tisch’ (桌子) 是阳性,’die Tafel’ (黑板) 是阴性,’das Buch’ (书) 是中性。

8. Common Mistakes to Avoid | 常见错误防范
Verb position confusion: In a main clause the conjugated verb is always the second idea, not necessarily the second word. For example, ‘Am Wochenende spiele ich Tennis.’
动词位置混淆:在陈述句中变位动词始终是第二个成分,不一定是第二个词。例如 ‘Am Wochenende spiele ich Tennis.’。
Forgetting to capitalise nouns: All German nouns are written with a capital letter, like ‘Schule’, ‘Wetter’, ‘Bruder’. This is a common Year 7 error.
忘记名词大写:所有德语名词首字母都要大写,如 ‘Schule’、’Wetter’、’Bruder’。这是七年级常见错误。
Mixing up ‘der’, ‘die’, ‘das’: Always learn the article with the noun. Use colour-coding or flashcards to remember.
混淆 ‘der’、’die’、’das’:学习名词时务必记住冠词。使用颜色标记或抽认卡帮助记忆。
Using ‘nicht’ incorrectly: ‘nicht’ negates a verb or adjective and tends to go at the end of a clause: ‘Ich spiele nicht.’ For negating a noun, use ‘kein’: ‘Ich habe kein Buch.’
‘nicht’ 使用错误:’nicht’ 否定动词或形容词,通常放在句末:’Ich spiele nicht.’。否定名词时用 ‘kein’:’Ich habe kein Buch.’。
Separable verb prefixes forgotten: With verbs like ‘aufstehen’, remember to separate ‘auf’ and place it at the end: ‘Ich stehe auf.’
分离动词前缀遗漏:对于像 ‘aufstehen’ 的动词,记住分离 ‘auf’ 并放在句末:’Ich stehe auf.’。
Word order after ‘weil’: Send the verb to the end: ‘weil ich müde bin’. Many beginners keep the verb in second position by mistake.
‘weil’ 后的语序:将动词放到末尾:’weil ich müde bin’。许多初学者错误地将动词保留在第二位。
