Year 7 Cambridge Chinese: Case Study Practical Exercises | 七年级剑桥中文:案例分析实战演练

📚 Year 7 Cambridge Chinese: Case Study Practical Exercises | 七年级剑桥中文:案例分析实战演练

In Year 7 Cambridge Chinese, case studies offer a dynamic way to practise language skills by applying vocabulary and grammar to real-life situations. Through carefully designed scenarios, you will learn how to introduce yourself, order food, ask for directions, and discuss daily topics – all while building confidence in reading, writing, speaking and listening. This approach helps you remember sentence patterns and cultural points much faster than rote memorisation.

在七年级剑桥中文课程中,案例分析通过将词汇和语法应用到真实生活情境中,提供了一种动态的语言练习方式。通过精心设计的场景,你将学会如何自我介绍、点餐、问路以及讨论日常话题——同时建立听、说、读、写的信心。这种方法能帮助你比死记硬背更快地记住句型和了解文化要点。

1. Understanding Case Studies in Chinese Learning | 理解中文学习中的案例分析

A case study in Chinese learning is a short story or situation that requires you to use the language to complete a task. It typically includes a setting, characters, a problem or goal, and language support. You then analyse the context, select suitable words, and produce a spoken or written response. This method develops your ability to think in Chinese rather than translating everything from your first language.

中文学习中的案例分析是一个简短的故事或情境,要求你使用中文完成任务。它通常包括背景、人物、一个问题或目标,以及语言支持。你需要分析上下文,选择合适的词语,并说出或写出回应。这种方法能培养你用中文思考的能力,而不是每句话都从母语翻译过来。

Key benefits of case study practice:

案例分析练习的主要好处:

It connects vocabulary to meaningful contexts, making words easier to remember.

它将词汇与有意义的语境联系起来,使词语更容易记住。

You practise all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in an integrated way.

你以综合的方式练习四项技能(听、说、读、写)。

You encounter cultural elements naturally, such as greetings, politeness and festivals.

你自然接触到文化元素,比如问候方式、礼貌用语和节日。

Mistakes become learning opportunities rather than failures, as you receive immediate feedback.

由于能获得即时反馈,错误变成了学习机会而不是失败。

Below are ten case studies designed for Year 7 learners. Work through each one carefully, following the instructions and checking the model answers only after you have attempted your own.

下面是十个为七年级学生设计的案例分析。请仔细完成每一个,按照指示操作,只有在你自己尝试过后再查看参考答案。

2. Case Study 1: Introducing Yourself | 案例分析一:自我介绍

Scenario: You have just joined an international school. Your Chinese teacher asks everyone to stand up and say a few sentences about themselves in Chinese. You want to make a good first impression.

情景:你刚刚加入一所国际学校,中文老师要求每个人站起来用中文说几句关于自己的话。你希望留下良好的第一印象。

Key vocabulary and phrases you might need:

你可能需要的关键词汇和短语:

  • 你好 – Hello
  • 我叫… – My name is…
  • 我…岁 – I am … years old
  • 我来自… – I come from…
  • 我是…人 – I am a … person (nationality)
  • 我喜欢… – I like…
  • 很高兴认识你 – Nice to meet you

Task: Prepare a self-introduction of about four sentences. You must include your name, age, where you are from and one hobby. Practise saying it aloud.

任务:准备一个大约四句话的自我介绍,必须包括你的名字、年龄、来自哪里以及一个爱好。并大声练习说出来。

Analysis: In Chinese, the verb ‘是’ is used to link nouns, but when stating your age, you simply put the number before ‘岁’ without a verb. For hobbies, use ‘喜欢’ followed directly by a noun or verb phrase. The sentence order generally follows Subject–Verb–Object, much like English, but time words usually come before the verb.

分析:中文中,动词‘是’用于连接名词,但在表示年龄时,直接把数字放在‘岁’前面,不需要动词。对于爱好,用‘喜欢’后直接跟名词或动词短语。句子顺序通常遵循主–谓–宾结构,和英语相似,但时间词通常放在动词之前。

Model answer in English: Hello everyone, my name is Xiaoming. I am twelve years old. I come from England. I like reading and playing basketball. Nice to meet you all.

中文参考回答:大家好,我叫小明。我十二岁。我来自英国。我喜欢看书和打篮球。很高兴认识你们。

3. Case Study 2: At the School Canteen | 案例分析二:在学校食堂

Scenario: It is lunchtime and you are at the school canteen with a friend. You want to buy rice with chicken and a bottle of water. Your friend wants noodles and juice. You need to ask about prices and express what you like.

情景:现在是午餐时间,你和朋友在学校食堂。你想买鸡肉饭和一瓶水。你的朋友想要面条和果汁。你需要询问价格并表达你喜欢什么。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 米饭 – rice
  • 面条 – noodles
  • 鸡肉 – chicken
  • 蔬菜 – vegetables
  • 果汁 – fruit juice
  • 水 – water
  • 多少钱? – How much is it?
  • 我要… – I want / I would like…
  • 好吃 – delicious
  • 碗 – bowl (measure word: 一碗米饭)
  • 瓶 – bottle (measure word: 一瓶水)

Task: Write a short dialogue between you, your friend and the canteen staff. Include greetings, ordering food, asking the price and commenting on the food. Your dialogue should have at least six lines.

任务:写一段你、朋友和食堂工作人员之间的简短对话。包括问候、点餐、询问价格和评论食物。对话至少要有六行。

Analysis: When ordering, use ‘我要’ to express a desire. The particle ‘吗’ at the end of a sentence turns it into a yes-no question, so ‘好吃吗?’ means ‘Is it tasty?’. The measure word must be placed between the number and the noun: ‘一碗饭’ (one bowl of rice) and ‘一瓶水’ (one bottle of water). Also note that in a dialogue, use polite words like ‘请问’.

分析:点餐时,用‘我要’表达想要。句尾加上‘吗’就变成了一般疑问句,所以‘好吃吗?’意思是‘好吃吗?’。量词必须放在数字和名词之间:‘一碗饭’和‘一瓶水’。还要注意在对话中使用礼貌用语,比如‘请问’。

Model answer in English:

英文参考对话:

You: Hello, I would like one bowl of rice with chicken and one bottle of water. How much is it?

Staff: Ten yuan. And what would your friend like?

Friend: I want a bowl of noodles and a glass of juice. Is the chicken rice tasty?

You: Yes, very tasty! Thank you.

中文参考对话:

你:你好,我要一碗鸡肉饭和一瓶水。多少钱?

工作人员:十块钱。你的朋友想要什么?

朋友:我要一碗面条和一杯果汁。鸡肉饭好吃吗?

你:很好吃!谢谢。

4. Case Study 3: Shopping for Stationery | 案例分析三:购买文具

Scenario: You need to buy a pencil, an exercise book and an eraser from a small stationery shop near your school. The shopkeeper speaks Mandarin. You want to ask for the items, check the prices and decide whether to buy them.

情景:你需要从学校附近的一家小文具店买一支铅笔、一本练习本和一块橡皮。店主说普通话。你想询问商品、查看价格并决定是否购买。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 铅笔 – pencil
  • 本子 – notebook / exercise book
  • 橡皮 – eraser
  • 支 – measure word for pencils (一支铅笔)
  • 本 – measure word for books (一本本子)
  • 块 – measure word for erasers (一块橡皮)
  • 多少钱? – How much money?
  • 太贵了 – too expensive
  • 便宜一点儿 – a little cheaper
  • 有没有…? – Do you have…?

Task: Write a conversation between you and the shopkeeper. Ask for each item, ask the price, and try to get a small discount. You should use appropriate measure words for each object.

任务:写一段你和店主之间的对话。询问每件商品,问价格,并尝试获得一点折扣。每件物品要使用恰当的量词。

Analysis: Measure words are essential in Chinese when specifying a quantity. Do not forget ‘支’ for long thin objects like pencils, ‘本’ for bound items like books, and ‘块’ for erasers and other pieces. To ask for a lower price, you can say ‘可以便宜一点儿吗?’. The structure ‘Noun + 多少钱?’ is used to ask for the price of a specific item.

分析:在中文中,指定数量时量词必不可少。不要忘记铅笔用‘支’,书本用‘本’,橡皮等块状物用‘块’。想讲价可以说‘可以便宜一点儿吗?’。询问特定物品的价格用‘名词 + 多少钱?’。

Model answer in English:

英文参考对话:

You: Hello, do you have pencils?

Shopkeeper: Yes, two yuan for one pencil.

You: I also need an exercise book and an eraser. How much altogether?

Shopkeeper: Two yuan for the pencil, three yuan for the book, one yuan for the eraser. Total six yuan.

You: That is a bit expensive. Can it be five yuan?

Shopkeeper: OK, five yuan.

中文参考对话:

你:你好,有没有铅笔?

店主:有,两块钱一支铅笔。

你:我还要一本本子和一块橡皮。一共多少钱?

店主:铅笔两元,本子三元,橡皮一元。一共六元。

你:太贵了。可以五块钱吗?

店主:好吧,五块。

5. Case Study 4: Asking for Directions | 案例分析四:问路

Scenario: You are in a Chinese city and want to find the nearest library. You stop a pedestrian and ask for directions. The pedestrian tells you to go straight, turn left at the second crossing, and see the library opposite the park.

情景:你在中国的一个城市,想找到最近的图书馆。你拦住一位行人问路。行人告诉你直走,在第二个路口左转,图书馆在公园对面。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 请问 – excuse me / may I ask
  • 图书馆 – library
  • 怎么走? – How do I get there?
  • 一直走 – go straight
  • 左转 – turn left
  • 右转 – turn right
  • 路口 – intersection / crossing
  • 对面 – opposite
  • 在…旁边 – next to
  • 远不远? – Is it far?

Task: Create a dialogue of at least five exchanges. You should politely ask where the library is and repeat the directions to confirm you understand. The reply must include at least two direction phrases.

任务:创建一段至少五轮对话。礼貌地询问图书馆在哪里,并重复路线以确认你理解了。对方的回答至少包含两个方向短语。

Analysis: When asking for directions, start with ‘请问’ to be polite. The phrase ‘怎么走?’ is short for ‘要怎么去?’. Direction instructions often follow a clear sequence: first go straight, then turn. To confirm, you can say ‘是不是…?’ (Is it that…?). Also, location words like ‘对面’ and ‘旁边’ come after the reference noun, not before as in English.

分析:问路时,先用‘请问’表示礼貌。‘怎么走?’是‘要怎么去?’的简略说法。方向指示通常遵循清晰的顺序:先直走,再转弯。想确认时可以说‘是不是…?’。此外,方位词如‘对面’和‘旁边’放在参照名词之后,而不是像英语那样放在前面。

Model answer in English:

英文参考对话:

You: Excuse me, how do I get to the library?

Pedestrian: Go straight, at the second crossing turn left. The library is opposite the park.

You: So first go straight, then turn left at the second crossing. Is that right?

Pedestrian: Yes, it is not far, about five minutes walking.

You: Thank you!

中文参考对话:

你:请问,图书馆怎么走?

行人:一直走,在第二个路口左转。图书馆在公园对面。

你:先一直走,然后在第二个路口左转,是不是?

行人:对,不远,走路大概五分钟。

你:谢谢!

6. Case Study 5: Describing Daily Routines | 案例分析五:描述日常生活

Scenario: Your Chinese pen pal has asked you to describe a typical school day. You want to write a short diary entry in Chinese, covering what you do from morning until evening on a Wednesday.

情景:你的中国笔友让你描述一个典型的上学日。你想用中文写一篇简短的日记,涵盖你周三从早到晚的活动。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 早上 – morning
  • 起床 – get up
  • 吃早饭 – eat breakfast
  • 上学 – go to school
  • 中午 – noon
  • 吃午饭 – eat lunch
  • 下午 – afternoon
  • 回家 – go home
  • 做作业 – do homework
  • 晚上 – evening
  • 睡觉 – sleep / go to bed
  • 然后 – then / after that

Task: Write a paragraph of five to six sentences describing your Wednesday. Use time phrases at the beginning of sentences and the linking word ‘然后’ to connect actions. Do not forget to include when you get up, eat meals and go to bed.

任务:写一段五到六句话描述你的周三。在句子开头使用时间短语,并用连接词‘然后’连接动作。不要忘记包含起床、吃饭和睡觉的时间。

Analysis: Chinese often places time expressions (e.g. ‘早上七点’) at the start of the sentence, followed by the subject if needed, then the verb. The word ‘然后’ means ‘then’ and is placed between two clauses to show sequence. There is no need for a conjunction like ‘and’ because the sequence is clear from the time words and ‘然后’.

分析:中文常常把时间表达(如‘早上七点’)放在句子开头,如果需要主语则随后,然后是动词。‘然后’放置在两个分句之间表示顺序。不需要像‘and’那样的连词,因为时间词和‘然后’已经清楚地表达了顺序。

Model answer in English:

英文参考段落:

On Wednesday morning I get up at seven o’clock. I eat breakfast at half past seven, then I go to school. At noon I eat lunch in the canteen. In the afternoon I go home at four o’clock. I do my homework first, then I eat dinner. In the evening I go to bed at nine o’clock.

中文参考段落:

星期三早上我七点起床。我七点半吃早饭,然后去上学。中午我在食堂吃午饭。下午四点我回家。我先做作业,然后吃晚饭。晚上我九点睡觉。

7. Case Study 6: Talking about Weather | 案例分析六:谈论天气

Scenario: You are chatting with a Chinese classmate about the weather today and your weekend plan. It is sunny but cold outside, and you want to suggest an indoor activity because it might rain later.

情景:你正和一个中国同学聊今天的天气和周末计划。外面晴朗但很冷,你想建议一个室内活动,因为晚些时候可能会下雨。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 天气 – weather
  • 晴天 – sunny day
  • 下雨 – rain / rainy
  • 冷 – cold
  • 热 – hot
  • 因为…所以… – because… therefore…
  • 可能 – maybe / probably
  • 打算 – plan to
  • 室内 – indoors
  • 看电影 – watch a movie

Task: Write a dialogue between you and your classmate. One of you asks about the weather and weekend plans. The other answers, using ‘因为…所以…’ to link the weather condition to the suggested activity. Include at least two weather words.

任务:写一段你和同学之间的对话。其中一人询问天气和周末计划。另一人回答,用‘因为…所以…’把天气情况和活动建议联系起来。至少包含两个天气词汇。

Analysis: ‘因为’ introduces the reason and ‘所以’ introduces the result. In spoken Chinese, it is common to use both in one sentence, but sometimes ‘因为’ can be omitted. To express a future possibility, use ‘可能’ before the verb. When describing weather, adjectives like ‘冷’ and ‘热’ do not require a verb like ‘is’; you simply say ‘今天很冷’.

分析:‘因为’引出原因,‘所以’引出结果。在口语中,句子常同时使用两者,但有时‘因为’可以省略。要表达将来的可能性,在动词前用‘可能’。描述天气时,像‘冷’和‘热’这样的形容词不需要动词‘是’,直接说‘今天很冷’。

Model answer in English:

英文参考对话:

Classmate: How is the weather today?

You: It is sunny but very cold. It might rain this afternoon.

Classmate: Then what is your plan for the weekend?

You: Because it will probably rain, I plan to watch a movie indoors. What about you?

Classmate: I also like indoor activities. Let’s watch together!

中文参考对话:

同学:今天天气怎么样?

你:今天是晴天,但是很冷。下午可能下雨。

同学:那你周末有什么打算?

你:因为可能会下雨,所以我打算在室内看电影。你呢?

同学:我也喜欢室内活动。一起看吧!

8. Case Study 7: Healthy Eating Habits | 案例分析七:健康饮食习惯

情景:你的朋友几乎每天都吃快餐。你很担心,想给出一些关于健康饮食的友好建议。你需要解释为什么蔬菜和水果对身体好,以及为什么过多的油炸食品有害。

Key vocabulary:

关键词汇:

  • 健康 – healthy
  • 蔬菜 – vegetables
  • 水果 – fruit
  • 垃圾食品 – junk food
  • 对身体好 – good for the body
  • 应该 – should / ought to
  • 不要 – do not (imperative)
  • 多吃 – eat more
  • 少吃 – eat less
  • 比如 – for example

Task: Write a short paragraph or dialogue in which you give at least three pieces of advice to your friend. Use ‘应该’ for positive
