📚 Year 7 SQA German: Formulae & Theorems Quick-Reference Handbook | Year 7 SQA 德语:公式定理速查手册
This handbook collects the essential ‘formulae’ of German grammar for Year 7 SQA learners. Just like in maths, these patterns repeat predictably. Once you learn the rule, you can generate hundreds of correct sentences. Keep this reference close for homework, revision and speaking practice.
本手册为 Year 7 SQA 学习者整理了德语语法的核心“公式”。就像数学公式一样,这些模式会以可预测的方式反复出现。一旦你掌握了规则,就能生成数百个正确的句子。做作业、复习和口语练习时请常备此速查手册。
1. The Master Formula: Verb Second in Main Clauses | 核心公式:主句动词第二位
In a German main clause (a normal statement), the conjugated verb is always the second idea. The first idea can be the subject, a time phrase, a place or something else. Everything else follows, and the verb never leaves second position.
在德语主句(普通陈述句)中,变位动词始终是第二个成分。第一位可以是主语、时间状语、地点或其他成分。其他部分紧随其后,动词始终牢牢占据第二位。
Position 1 + Verb (conjugated) + Subject (if not first) + other elements
第一位 + 动词(已变位)+ 主语(如果不在第一位)+ 其他成分
Example: Ich spiele heute Tennis. → Heute spiele ich Tennis.
例句:Ich spiele heute Tennis. (我今天打网球。)→ Heute spiele ich Tennis. (今天我打网球。)
2. The Conjugation Theorem: Regular Verbs | 变位定理:规则动词
Regular (weak) verbs follow a fixed pattern in the present tense. Remove the -en from the infinitive, then add the correct ending for each person. This formula works for spielen, machen, wohnen, hören and many more.
规则(弱变化)动词现在时遵循固定模式。从不定式中去掉 -en,然后为各人称加上相应词尾。该公式适用于 spielen、machen、wohnen、hören 等大多数动词。
stem + ending: -e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en
词干 + 词尾:-e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en
| Pronoun | Ending | spielen | 中文 |
|---|---|---|---|
| ich | -e | ich spiele | 我玩 |
| du | -st | du spielst | 你玩 |
| er/sie/es | -t | er spielt | 他/她/它玩 |
| wir | -en | wir spielen | 我们玩 |
| ihr | -t | ihr spielt | 你们玩 |
| sie/Sie | -en | sie spielen | 他们/您(们)玩 |
If the stem ends in -d, -t, -m or -n (after a consonant), add an extra -e before the -st and -t endings: du arbeitest, er arbeitet.
若词干以 -d、-t、-m 或辅音后的 -n 结尾,在 -st 和 -t 词尾前额外插入 -e:du arbeitest, er arbeitet。
3. The ‘Sein’ and ‘Haben’ Core Equations | sein 和 haben 核心方程
Sein (to be) and haben (to have) are the two most fundamental verbs. They are irregular, but you must know them by heart because they appear in many patterns and as auxiliary verbs. Treat them as special ‘axioms’.
sein(是)和 haben(有)是最基本的两个动词。它们是不规则变化,但你必须牢记,因为它们出现在众多句型中并充当助动词。请把它们视为特殊“公理”。
| Pronoun | sein | haben |
|---|---|---|
| ich | bin | habe |
| du | bist | hast |
| er/sie/es | ist | hat |
| wir | sind | haben |
| ihr | seid | habt |
| sie/Sie | sind | haben |
Use sein with adjectives and locations: Ich bin müde. Wir sind in der Schule. Use haben for possession and many expressions: Ich habe einen Hund. Er hat Hunger.
sein 与形容词和地点连用:Ich bin müde.(我累了。)Wir sind in der Schule.(我们在学校。)haben 表示拥有及许多固定表达:Ich habe einen Hund.(我有一只狗。)Er hat Hunger.(他饿了。)
4. The Article Declension Formula: Nominative vs Accusative | 冠词变格公式:第一格与第四格
German articles change depending on the case. For Year 7, the two main cases are Nominative (subject) and Accusative (direct object). The masculine article is the only one that visibly changes in the accusative.
德语冠词根据格发生变化。对 Year 7 而言,最主要的两个格是第一格(主语)和第四格(直接宾语)。只有阳性冠词在第四格中有明显变化。
Nominative: der (m), die (f), das (n), die (pl)
Accusative: den (m), die (f), das (n), die (pl)
Formula: Masculine der → den; feminine, neuter and plural stay the same. Example: Ich habe den Ball. (The Ball is masculine: der Ball → den Ball.)
公式:阳性 der → den;阴性、中性和复数保持不变。例句:Ich habe den Ball.(der Ball → den Ball。)
5. The Definite Article Quick-Reference Table | 定冠词速查表
Definite articles (the) also depend on gender and number. The table below gives you the complete picture for the cases covered in Year 7.
定冠词(英语 the)也取决于性和数。下表给出 Year 7 所学格的全部情况。
| Case | Masculine | Feminine | Neuter | Plural |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nominative | der | die | das | die |
| Accusative | den | die | das | die |
Always learn a noun together with its article: der Tisch, die Lampe, das Buch. This makes applying the formula automatic.
学习名词时务必连带冠词一起记忆:der Tisch(桌子)、die Lampe(灯)、das Buch(书)。这样应用公式就会自然而然。
6. The Indefinite Article and Negation ‘Kein’ | 不定冠词与否定词 kein
Indefinite articles (a/an) and the negation word kein (no/not a) follow the same declension pattern as the definite article in the nominative and accusative, but with some gaps: kein replaces ein for negation.
不定冠词(a/an)和否定词 kein(没有/不是一个)在第一格和第四格中与定冠词变格模式相同,只是稍有差异:kein 代替 ein 用于否定。
| Case | Masculine ein/kein | Feminine eine/keine | Neuter ein/kein |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nominative | ein / kein | eine / keine | ein / kein |
| Accusative | einen / keinen | eine / keine | ein / kein |
Example: Das ist ein Bleistift. → Ich habe keinen Bleistift. (Bleistift is masculine, so accusative changes ein to einen, kein to keinen.)
例句:Das ist ein Bleistift.(这是一支铅笔。)→ Ich habe keinen Bleistift.(我没有铅笔。)(Bleistift 是阳性,所以第四格中 ein → einen, kein → keinen。)
7. The Personal Pronoun Matrix | 人称代词矩阵
Personal pronouns replace nouns and change form in the accusative case. For Year 7, concentrate on nominative (subject) and accusative (direct object) pronouns.
人称代词代替名词,在第四格中词形会变化。Year 7 阶段,请集中掌握第一格(主语)和第四格(直接宾语)代词。
| English | Nominative | Accusative |
|---|---|---|
| I / me | ich | mich |
| you (informal sing.) | du | dich |
| he / him | er | ihn |
| she / her | sie | sie |
| it | es | es |
| we / us | wir | uns |
| you (informal pl.) | ihr | euch |
| they / you (formal) | sie/Sie | sie/Sie |
Remember the verb-second rule still applies: Ihn kenne ich gut. The accusative pronoun ihn occupies position 1, and the verb kenne stays second.
请记住动词第二位规则依然生效:Ihn kenne ich gut.(我认识他。)第四格代词 ihn 占据第一位,动词 kenne 仍居第二。
8. The Question Formation Formula | 疑问句构成公式
There are two main types of questions. Yes/no questions follow a simple inversion: the verb moves to position 1. W-questions (with question words) put the question word first, then the verb.
疑问句主要有两类。一般疑问句遵循简单倒置:动词移至第一位。特殊疑问句(带疑问词)将疑问词放在第一位,然后是动词。
Yes/No: Conjugated Verb + Subject + rest?
一般疑问句:变位动词 + 主语 + 其他成分?
Statement: Du hast ein Fahrrad. → Question: Hast du ein Fahrrad?
陈述句:Du hast ein Fahrrad.(你有一辆自行车。)→ 疑问句:Hast du ein Fahrrad?(你有一辆自行车吗?)
W-Question: Question word + Verb + Subject + rest?
特殊疑问句:疑问词 + 动词 + 主语 + 其他成分?
Example: Wo wohnst du? Wann kommt der Bus? Was ist das?
例句:Wo wohnst du?(你住在哪里?)Wann kommt der Bus?(公共汽车什么时候来?)Was ist das?(这是什么?)
9. The Negation Placement Principle (Nicht) | 否定词 nicht 位置原则
The word nicht (not) can be placed in different positions. A useful ‘formula’ is to put nicht after the conjugated verb, after time expressions, or before the element you want to negate. For objects with a definite article or pronoun, nicht usually goes to the end.
nicht(不)可以放在不同位置。一条有用的“公式”是将 nicht 放在变位动词之后、时间状语之后,或者置于要否定的成分之前。对于带定冠词或代词的宾语,nicht 通常放在句末。
Subject + Verb + (time) + nicht + definite object / prepositional phrase
主语 + 动词 +(时间)+ nicht + 带定冠词的宾语/介词短语
Examples: Ich spiele nicht gern Fußball. (negates the adverb) — Ich habe den Hund nicht. (negates the definite object)
例句:Ich spiele nicht gern Fußball.(我不喜欢踢足球。否定副词)— Ich habe den Hund nicht.(我没有那条狗。否定带定冠词的宾语)
With kein, you negate an indefinite noun directly: Ich habe kein Geld. Do not use nicht + ein; use kein instead.
使用 kein 直接否定带不定冠词的名词:Ich habe kein Geld.(我没有钱。)切勿使用 nicht + ein,而要用 kein 替代。
10. The Plural Noun Formation Patterns | 名词复数构成模式
There is no single plural rule in German, but certain patterns appear frequently. Treat them as ‘plural theorems’ to guess the form. Always learn the plural together with the noun.
德语中没有单一的复数规则,但某些模式经常出现。可以将它们视为“复数定理”来推测形式。学习名词时务必连带复数一起记住。
| Pattern | Example (Singular → Plural) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Add -e (often with umlaut) | der Tisch → die Tische; die Stadt → die Städte | Many masculine nouns |
| Add -er (often with umlaut) | das Kind → die Kinder; der Mann → die Männer | Many neuter nouns |
| Add -n or -en | die Lampe → die Lampen; der Junge → die Jungen | Many feminine nouns |
| Add -s | das Auto → die Autos; das Handy → die Handys | Foreign/technical words |
| No change (or umlaut only) | der Lehrer → die Lehrer; der Apfel → die Äpfel | Some masculine/neuter |
When you learn a new noun, create a mini-formula: der Brief, die Briefe. This habit will save you from guessing incorrectly.
学习新名词时,请创建一个小公式:der Brief, die Briefe。这个习惯能让你避免猜错复数形式。
