For instance, ‘What makes an action right or wrong?’ or ‘Do we have free will?’ In this bridging course, we will introduce you to the method of philosophical inquiry: asking clarifying questions, examining concepts, and constructing well-reasoned answers.

The SQA offers Philosophy qualifications at National 5 and Higher levels. These courses typically cover units such as ‘Arguments in Action’, ‘Moral Philosophy’, ‘Epistemology’, and ‘Philosophy of Religion’. In Year 7, we will not dive into exam content directly. Instead, our summer preview focuses on the underlying thinking tools: analysis, evaluation, and synthesis.
