1. What is Philosophy? |

Philosophy comes from the Greek words ‘philo’ (love) and ‘sophia’ (wisdom), meaning love of wisdom. Remember: philo = love (like ‘philharmonic’ loves harmony), sophia = wisdom.

Philosopher is a person who seeks wisdom and asks fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, and values.

Critical thinking is the ability to analyse and evaluate ideas logically, rather than just accepting them.

Memory hook: Imagine a friend named Phil who loves Sophia – that’s Philosophy!
