📚 Year 8 CCEA Spanish: Summer Preview and Bridging Course | Year 8 CCEA 西班牙语:暑期预习与衔接课程

Moving from Year 7 into Year 8 Spanish is an exciting step. You have already learned how to greet someone, count, talk about your family and describe your hobbies. This summer bridging course will help you revise the most important topics from Year 7 and introduce you to the new language you will meet in Year 8. By working through these revision notes and practice ideas, you can keep your Spanish active, build your confidence and be fully ready for the next stage of your learning journey.

从七年级升入八年级西班牙语学习是令人兴奋的一步。你已经学会了如何问候、数数、谈论家人和描述自己的爱好。这份暑期衔接课程会帮助你复习七年级最重要的内容,同时向你介绍八年级将遇到的新语言点。通过这些复习笔记和练习建议,你能保持西班牙语活跃、增强信心,为下一阶段的学习做好充分准备。

1. Greetings and Introductions | 问候与自我介绍

In Year 7 you practised saying ‘Hola’, ‘Buenos días’ and ‘Adiós’. Year 8 expects you to use a wider range of greetings confidently and to introduce yourself in more detail. You should be able to say your name, ask someone else’s name, ask how they are and respond with more than just ‘bien’. You will also start to use formal and informal language appropriately, for example ‘¿Cómo estás?’ with friends and ‘¿Cómo está usted?’ in polite situations.

在七年级你练习了说“Hola”、“Buenos días”和“Adiós”。八年级要求你自信地使用更丰富的问候语,并更详细地介绍自己。你需要能说出自己的名字、询问他人的名字、问候对方并给出比“bien”更丰富的回答。你还会开始恰当地使用正式与非正式语言,例如对朋友说“¿Cómo estás?”,在礼貌场合说“¿Cómo está usted?”。

Aim to learn these key phrases actively: ‘Me llamo…’ (My name is…), ‘¿Cómo te llamas?’ (What is your name?), ‘Mucho gusto’ (Pleased to meet you), ‘¿Cómo estás?’ / ‘¿Qué tal?’ (How are you?), ‘Estoy bien, gracias’ (I’m fine, thanks), ‘Estoy cansado/a’ (I’m tired). Practise saying them aloud and writing short conversations where two people greet each other and exchange names.

主动学习这些关键短语:“Me llamo…”(我叫……)、“¿Cómo te llamas?”(你叫什么名字?)、“Mucho gusto”(很高兴认识你)、“¿Cómo estás?” / “¿Qué tal?”(你好吗?)、“Estoy bien, gracias”(我很好,谢谢)、“Estoy cansado/a”(我累了)。大声朗读并写出两人互相问候、交换姓名的简短对话。

2. Numbers and Age | 数字与年龄

Numbers are essential for giving your age, saying the date, talking about times and prices. In Year 7 you covered 1–31. For Year 8 you will need numbers up to 100, and often up to 1000, so you can talk about years, larger quantities and more. Revise 1–20 carefully because these form the building blocks: uno, dos, tres… once, doce, trece… veinte. Then learn the tens: treinta (30), cuarenta (40), cincuenta (50), sesenta (60), setenta (70), ochenta (80), noventa (90), cien (100).

数字对于表达年龄、日期、时间和价格至关重要。七年级你学了1到31。八年级你需要掌握到100,甚至到1000的数字,这样你就能谈论年份、更大量的数目。仔细复习1到20,因为这些是基础:uno, dos, tres… once, doce, trece… veinte。然后学习整十数字:treinta(30)、cuarenta(40)、cincuenta(50)、sesenta(60)、setenta(70)、ochenta(80)、noventa(90)、cien(100)。

Once you are comfortable with these, practise combining them: treinta y uno (31), cuarenta y cinco (45), noventa y nueve (99). For 100 use ‘cien’ exactly; for numbers above 100 you will later meet ‘ciento’. Memorise the question ‘¿Cuántos años tienes?’ and the answer ‘Tengo doce años.’ Try to spell the numbers correctly – watch out for ‘veintidós’ (22) and the accents.

当你熟练之后,练习组合数字:treinta y uno(31)、cuarenta y cinco(45)、noventa y nueve(99)。100用“cien”;超过100时之后你会见到“ciento”。背诵问题“¿Cuántos años tienes?”和回答“Tengo doce años.”。注意拼写正确——留意“veintidós”(22)和重音符号。

3. Months, Days and Dates | 月份、星期与日期

Being able to say the date and talk about birthdays is a core skill. Revise the days of the week: lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo. Notice they are written with a small letter in Spanish unless they start a sentence. The months are: enero, febrero, marzo, abril, mayo, junio, julio, agosto, septiembre, octubre, noviembre, diciembre. Again, lower case is the rule.

能够说出日期和谈论生日是一项核心技能。复习星期:lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, domingo。注意它们在西班牙语中除句首外用小写字母。月份是:enero, febrero, marzo, abril, mayo, junio, julio, agosto, septiembre, octubre, noviembre, diciembre。同样,规则是小写。

Now combine them: ‘Hoy es lunes tres de octubre.’ (Today is Monday 3rd October.) The structure uses ‘el’ + number + ‘de’ + month. For birthdays: ‘Mi cumpleaños es el veinticinco de mayo.’ Practise asking ‘¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?’ and answering fully. Year 8 may also introduce seasons – primavera, verano, otoño, invierno – so you can say in which season your birthday falls.

现在将它们组合起来:“Hoy es lunes tres de octubre.”(今天是10月3日星期一。)结构为“el” + 数字 + “de” + 月份。表达生日:“Mi cumpleaños es el veinticinco de mayo.”。练习提问“¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?”并完整回答。八年级还可能介绍季节——primavera, verano, otoño, invierno——这样你就能说出自己的生日在哪个季节。

4. Family and Pets | 家庭与宠物

In Year 7 you learned family members like madre, padre, hermano, hermana, abuelo. Year 8 builds on this by expecting you to describe your family in more detail, using possessive adjectives correctly and including pets. Make sure you can say: mi madre, tu hermano, su perro, nuestro gato. Possessives agree with the noun, so ‘mis padres’ (my parents) uses the plural form.

在七年级你学了家庭成员,如madre, padre, hermano, hermana, abuelo。八年级在此基础上,要求你更详细地描述家人,正确使用物主形容词,并包含宠物。确保你能说:mi madre, tu hermano, su perro, nuestro gato。物主形容词与名词保持数的一致,因此“mis padres”(我的父母)要用复数形式。

Useful verbs include ‘tener’ (to have) and ‘llamarse’. Give names and ages: ‘Mi hermana se llama Ana y tiene ocho años.’ For pets, learn: un perro, un gato, un pez, un conejo, un pájaro. You can also express how many pets: ‘Tengo dos gatos y un perro.’ Describe them simply: ‘Es negro y pequeño.’ This blends into the next topic of describing people and animals.

有用的动词包括“tener”(有)和“llamarse”。给出姓名和年龄:“Mi hermana se llama Ana y tiene ocho años.”。宠物方面,学习:un perro, un gato, un pez, un conejo, un pájaro。你也可以说出宠物的数量:“Tengo dos gatos y un perro.”。简单地描述它们:“Es negro y pequeño.”。这就与接下来描述人和动物的话题结合起来了。

5. Describing People (Appearance and Personality) | 描述人物(外貌与性格)

Describing what people look like and their personality is a favourite topic in Year 8 Spanish. You will use the verbs ‘ser’ (to be, for permanent characteristics) and ‘tener’ (to have, for hair and eyes). Start with eye and hair colour: ‘Tengo los ojos azules’, ‘Tiene el pelo largo y rubio’. Remember word order: adjective usually follows the noun, e.g. ‘pelo corto’. Basic adjectives for physique: alto/a, bajo/a, delgado/a, gordo/a. For personality: simpático/a, inteligente, divertido/a, tímido/a, hablador/habladora.

描述人物的外貌和性格是八年级西班牙语中深受欢迎的话题。你将使用动词“ser”(表永久特征)和“tener”(表头发和眼睛)。从眼睛和头发开始:“Tengo los ojos azules”、“Tiene el pelo largo y rubio”。记住词序:形容词通常放在名词之后,如“pelo corto”。基本体型形容词:alto/a, bajo/a, delgado/a, gordo/a。性格形容词:simpático/a, inteligente, divertido/a, tímido/a, hablador/habladora。

You need to make adjectives agree in gender and number. Many end in -o for masculine and -a for feminine: ‘un chico alto’, ‘una chica alta’. Adjectives ending in -e or a consonant usually stay the same for both genders but add -es for plural. Practise by drawing a family tree and writing a short description of each person. Use connectives like ‘y’ (and) and ‘pero’ (but) to extend sentences: ‘Mi padre es alto y simpático, pero un poco tímido.’

你需要让形容词在性和数上保持一致。许多以-o结尾的形容阳性,以-a结尾的形容阴性:“un chico alto”、“una chica alta”。以-e或辅音结尾的形容词通常阴阳性同形,但复数加-es。通过画一棵家庭树并为每个人写一段简短描述来练习。用连接词“y”(和)和“pero”(但是)来扩展句子:“Mi padre es alto y simpático, pero un poco tímido.”。

6. School Subjects and Expressing Opinions | 学校科目与表达看法

Talking about school is a real-life context that appears strongly in Year 8. Revise subject names: el español, el inglés, las matemáticas, las ciencias, la historia, la geografía, la educación física, el arte, la música, la informática. Notice the definite article (el, la, los, las) is used with subjects except after ‘estudiar’ and sometimes ‘tener’.

谈论学校是八年级频繁出现的真实语境。复习科目名称:el español, el inglés, las matemáticas, las ciencias, la historia, la geografía, la educación física, el arte, la música, la informática。注意除“estudiar”以及有时“tener”之后,科目要与定冠词(el, la, los, las)一起使用。

Opinions are central. You already know ‘Me gusta’ and ‘No me gusta’. Year 8 stretches you to give reasons using ‘porque’ and adjectives: ‘Me gusta el español porque es divertido e interesante.’ ‘No me gustan las matemáticas porque son difíciles y aburridas.’ The verb ‘gustar’ agrees with what you like: ‘Me gusta el inglés’ (singular) but ‘Me gustan las ciencias’ (plural). Useful opinion adjectives: fácil, difícil, práctico, creativo, útil. You can also use ‘prefiero’ (I prefer) and ‘odio’ (I hate) to add variety.

表达看法是核心。你已经知道“Me gusta”和“No me gusta”。八年级要求你用“porque”和形容词给出理由:“Me gusta el español porque es divertido e interesante.”、“No me gustan las matemáticas porque son difíciles y aburridas.”。动词“gustar”的数和喜欢的事物保持一致:“Me gusta el inglés”(单数),但“Me gustan las ciencias”(复数)。有用的看法形容词:fácil, difícil, práctico, creativo, útil。你也可以使用“prefiero”(我更喜欢)和“odio”(我讨厌)来增加变化。

7. Hobbies and Free Time Activities | 爱好与闲暇活动

You have already talked about what you like to do in your free time. Year 8 expands your vocabulary and introduces new sentence structures with frequency phrases and the near future. Key activities: jugar al fútbol, jugar al baloncesto, nadar, bailar, cantar, tocar la guitarra, leer, ver la televisión, jugar a videojuegos, hacer ciclismo. Use ‘jugar a’ + sport, but ‘tocar’ + instrument.

你已经谈论过闲暇时间喜欢做的事。八年级将扩展词汇,并引入带有频率短语和最近将来时的新句型。关键活动:jugar al fútbol, jugar al baloncesto, nadar, bailar, cantar, tocar la guitarra, leer, ver la televisión, jugar a videojuegos, hacer ciclismo。使用“jugar a”+运动,而“tocar”+乐器。

Now add frequency: siempre (always), a veces (sometimes), nunca (never), todos los días (every day), los fines de semana (at weekends). Example: ‘Los fines de semana juego al tenis y a veces nado en la piscina.’ You can also say what you are going to do using ‘voy a’ + infinitive: ‘Voy a jugar al fútbol mañana.’ This introduces the near future and is very useful. Combine opinion: ‘Me encanta bailar porque es divertido y puedo estar con mis amigos.’

现在添加频率副词:siempre(总是)、a veces(有时)、nunca(从不)、todos los días(每天)、los fines de semana(在周末)。例如:“Los fines de semana juego al tenis y a veces nado en la piscina.”。你也可以用“voy a”+动词原形表达打算做的事:“Voy a jugar al fútbol mañana.”。这引入了最近将来时,非常实用。将观点结合起来:“Me encanta bailar porque es divertido y puedo estar con mis amigos.”。

8. Food and Drink: Likes and Dislikes | 食物与饮料:喜欢与不喜欢

Food is an enjoyable topic that lets you practise ‘gustar’ and widen your vocabulary.

学习就餐时间词汇:el desayuno(早餐)、el almuerzo/la comida(午餐)、la cena(晚餐)。

For preferences, use ‘Me gusta(n)’ and explain why: ‘Me gusta el chocolate porque es dulce’ or ‘No me gusta el pescado, prefiero el pollo.’ When you have a mixed list, remember ‘gustan’ for plural things. Be able to say what you eat and drink for different meals: ‘Para el desayuno tomo leche y cereales.’ ‘En la cena como pescado con ensalada.’ You can also learn expressions like ‘Tengo hambre’ (I am hungry) and ‘Tengo sed’ (I am thirsty).

表达偏好时,使用“Me gusta(n)”并解释原因:“Me gusta el chocolate porque es dulce”或“No me gusta el pescado, prefiero el pollo.”。当列举多种喜欢的东西时,记住复数用“gustan”。能说出你不同餐次吃什么:“Para el desayuno tomo leche y cereales.”、“En la cena como pescado con ensalada.”。你还可以学习“Tengo hambre”(我饿了)和“Tengo sed”(我渴了)这样的表达。

9. The Present Tense: Regular -AR, -ER, -IR Verbs | 现在时:规则动词变位

One of the biggest steps in Year 8 Spanish is using verbs accurately in the present tense. In Year 7 you may have used set phrases like ‘Me gusta’ or ‘Juego al fútbol’. Now you must understand how to change the verb ending for each person. Spanish verbs fall into three groups: -AR, -ER and -IR. Here is the pattern for regular verbs.

八年级西班牙语最大的跨越之一是在现在时中准确使用动词。在七年级你可能使用过固定短语,如“Me gusta”或“Juego al fútbol”。现在你必须明白如何为不同人称改变动词词尾。西班牙语动词分为三组:以-AR、-ER和-IR结尾的动词。以下是规则动词的变位模式。

hablar (to speak): yo hablo, tú hablas, él/ella/usted habla, nosotros hablamos, vosotros habláis, ellos/ellas/ustedes hablan

comer (to eat): yo como, tú comes, él/ella/usted come, nosotros comemos, vosotros coméis, ellos/ellas/ustedes comen

vivir (to live): yo vivo, tú vives, él/ella/usted vive, nosotros vivimos, vosotros vivís, ellos/ellas/ustedes viven

Notice the clear patterns. For -AR verbs, the endings are -o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an. For -ER verbs: -o, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en. For -IR verbs: -o, -es, -e, -imos, -ís, -en. The ‘yo’ form is always -o in regular verbs. Practise by taking an infinitive, removing the -ar/-er/-ir and adding the correct ending. Aim to use these verbs in full sentences: ‘Nosotros hablamos español en clase.’ ‘Ella come fruta cada día.’ ‘¿Dónde vives?’

注意清晰的模式。以-AR结尾的动词,词尾为-o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an。以-ER结尾的动词:-o, -es, -e, -emos, -éis, -en。以-IR结尾的动词:-o, -es, -e, -imos, -ís, -en。规则动词的“yo”形总是以-o结尾。练习时,取动词原形,去掉-ar/-er/-ir,然后加上正确的词尾。目标是在完整的句子中使用这些动词:“Nosotros hablamos español en clase.”、“Ella come fruta cada día.”、“¿Dónde vives?”。

10. Key Irregular Verbs: Ser, Tener, Estar | 关键不规则动词:ser, tener, estar

Not all verbs follow the regular patterns. Three very common verbs are completely irregular and you will use them every lesson: ser (to be, permanent), estar (to be, temporary/location) and tener (to have, also used for age). These must be memorised. Here is the present tense:

并非所有动词都遵循规则模式。有三个非常常用的动词完全不规则,你每节课都会用到:ser(是,表永久特征)、estar(在,表暂时状态或位置)和tener(有,也用于表达年龄)。

Use estar for location and temporary feelings: ‘Estoy en casa’, ‘Estoy cansado’. Tener is used in many set phrases: ‘tengo doce años’, ‘tengo hambre’, ‘¿tienes frío?’. Because tener changes stem to ‘teng-‘ in the yo form, and has a vowel change in some other forms, it requires special attention. Create flashcards with these verbs and include a model sentence for each person.

Ser用于描述、国籍、时间和永久特征:“Soy inglés”、“Son las dos”、“Mi hermana es inteligente”。Estar用于地点和暂时的感受:“Estoy en casa”、“Estoy cansado”。Tener用于许多固定短语:“tengo doce años”、“tengo hambre”、“¿tienes frío?”。由于tener的“yo”形变为“teng-”,且在某些其他形式中有元音变化,需要特别留意。为这些动词制作抽认卡,并为每个人称配一个例句。
