Young people also gain certain legal rights as they age. At 16, they can consent to medical treatment, leave school, and work full-time, though there are restrictions on the hours and types of work they can do. Alternative methods of dispute resolution, such as mediation and tribunals, are also discussed as ways to make justice more affordable and accessible.
