📚 Year 10 AQA French: Summer Preparation & Bridging Course | AQA 法语 Year 10:暑期预习与衔接课程

Starting Year 10 French with AQA is an exciting step. This summer, you can build a strong foundation by getting to know the themes, key grammar and study skills that will set you up for success in the GCSE course. This bridging guide takes you through exactly what you need to preview and practise before the first term.

开始 AQA 10 年级法语学习是令人兴奋的一步。这个暑假,你可以通过了解主题、关键语法和学习技巧来打下坚实基础,为 GCSE 课程的成功做好准备。这份衔接指南将带你了解开学前需要预习和练习的内容。

1. AQA GCSE French Course Overview | AQA GCSE 法语课程概览

The AQA GCSE French course is built around three broad themes: Identity and Culture; Local, National, International and Global Areas of Interest; and Current and Future Study and Employment. You will be assessed in four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, each worth 25% of the final grade. Understanding this structure early will help you organise your revision and vocabulary learning logically.

AQA GCSE 法语课程围绕三大主题构建:身份与文化;地方、国家、国际及全球关注领域;以及当前与未来的学习与就业。你将接受听力、口语、阅读和写作四项技能的评估,每项占最终成绩的 25%。尽早熟悉这一结构有助于你有条理地安排复习和词汇学习。

During the summer, it is a good idea to look at the specification or a textbook contents page to see which sub-topics appear under each theme. You do not need to learn everything now, but being aware of what is coming will reduce anxiety and give you a sense of direction.

暑假期间,翻阅课程大纲或教材目录页了解一下每个主题包含哪些子话题会很有帮助。现在不需要学完所有内容,但做到心中有数能减轻焦虑,让你有方向感。

2. Theme 1: Me, My Family and Friends | 主题一:我、我的家人和朋友

This first sub-theme is all about describing yourself, your family members and your relationships. Start by learning basic adjectives for physical descriptions: grand(e), petit(e), brun(e), blond(e), and personality traits like sympa, drôle, intelligent(e). You should also be able to say how old you are, talk about siblings and use possessive adjectives such as mon, ma, mes correctly.

第一个子话题是描述自己、家人和人际关系。先从描述外貌的基础形容词入手,如 grand(e), petit(e), brun(e), blond(e),以及性格特点如 sympa, drôle, intelligent(e)。你还需要会表达年龄、谈论兄弟姐妹,并正确使用主有形容词,如 mon, ma, mes。

A typical question in this topic is ‘Parle-moi de ta famille’ (Tell me about your family). Practise building simple sentences: ‘Ma mère s’appelle Marie, elle est grande et gentille. J’ai un frère, il s’appelle Tom, il est assez sportif.’ Remember to make adjectives agree with the gender of the noun: un père patient, une mère patiente.

这个主题的常见问题是 ‘Parle-moi de ta famille’。练习构建简单句子:“我妈妈叫玛丽,她很高而且友善。我有一个哥哥叫汤姆,他相当爱运动。” 记住形容词要与名词性数配合:un père patient, une mère patiente。

For writing, you can learn useful connectives like et, mais, aussi, parce que. These will help you extend your answers right from Year 10.

写作方面,可以学习有用的连词,如 et, mais, aussi, parce que。这些能让你从 10 年级起就学会扩展答案。

3. Theme 1: Technology and Free-time Activities | 主题一:科技与课余活动

This sub-theme covers the use of mobiles, social media, computers and your hobbies. Key vocabulary includes: un portable, envoyer des textos, surfer sur Internet, les réseaux sociaux. For free-time, you need to know how to talk about sports, music, reading, cinema and going out. Useful verbs: jouer à + sport, faire de + activity, écouter de la musique, regarder la télé.

这一子话题涵盖手机、社交媒体、电脑及爱好的使用。重点词汇包括:un portable, envoyer des textos, surfer sur Internet, les réseaux sociaux。在课余活动方面,你需要会谈论运动、音乐、阅读、电影和外出。实用动词:jouer à + 运动, faire de + 活动, écouter de la musique, regarder la télé。

Try to express opinions about technology using phrases like ‘Je pense que les portables sont utiles pour rester en contact avec ses amis, mais ils peuvent être addictifs.’ Giving two sides of an argument shows higher-level thinking and is expected in GCSE speaking and writing tasks.

尝试使用表达观点的短语谈论科技,比如“我认为手机对于和朋友保持联系很有用,但可能会让人上瘾。” 提出正反两面观点能体现高阶思维,也是 GCSE 口语和写作任务所期望的。

Use time phrases to say how often you do activities: tous les jours, le weekend, une fois par semaine, de temps en temps. This builds vocabulary for both speaking and listening papers.

使用时间短语说明活动的频率:每天、周末、每周一次、偶尔。这能为口语和听力试卷积累词汇。

4. Theme 2: Local Area, Home and Travel | 主题二:本地、家庭与旅行

This section covers describing where you live, your house and your town. Start by learning rooms in the house: la chambre, la cuisine, le salon, la salle de bains. Then move on to places in town: la boulangerie, la gare, le centre commercial, la bibliothèque. Prepositions like à côté de, en face de, près de are essential for giving directions.

这一部分描述你的居住地、房屋和城镇。先学习房屋的房间用语:la chambre, la cuisine, le salon, la salle de bains。然后学习城镇场所:la boulangerie, la gare, le centre commercial, la bibliothèque。介词如 à côté de, en face de, près de 对于指路至关重要。

For the travel sub-topic, you will need to talk about holidays, means of transport and past trips. That is where the past tense becomes vital. You can prepare by learning the passé composé with avoir and some common past participles: voyager → j’ai voyagé, prendre → j’ai pris, faire → j’ai fait. Even using simple past-tense sentences over the summer gives you a huge advantage.

在旅行子话题中,你需要谈论假期、交通工具和过往出行,此时过去时就显得至关重要。你可以通过先学习以 avoir 为助动词的复合过去时和一些常用过去分词来准备:voyager→j’ai voyagé, prendre→j’ai pris, faire→j’ai fait。暑假里即使只用简单过去时造句,也能让你占得先机。

5. Theme 2: Social and Global Issues | 主题二:社会与全球问题

This theme introduces broader topics such as charity, volunteering, healthy living, the environment and global challenges. Begin with health: vegetables, fruit, exercise, smoking. Adjectives like sain/malsain, équilibré, nocif will be useful. You should be able to discuss giving your time: ‘Je travaille comme bénévole dans une association,’ or ‘Je collecte de l’argent pour une bonne cause.’

这一主题引入了更广泛的话题,如慈善、志愿活动、健康生活、环境和全球挑战。从健康话题入手:蔬菜、水果、运动、吸烟。形容词 sain/malsain, équilibré, nocif 会派上用场。你应能谈论奉献时间:“我在一家协会做志愿者”,或“我为一项善事筹集资金”。

For the environment, start with basic verbs: éteindre la lumière, recycler les déchets, utiliser les transports en commun. The pattern ‘Il faut + infinitive’ (One must/I have to) is very productive: ‘Il faut protéger la planète, il faut réduire la pollution.’

环境方面,从基本动词开始:éteindre la lumière, recycler les déchets, utiliser les transports en commun。“Il faut + 动词原形”这个句型非常实用:“必须保护地球,必须减少污染”。

6. Theme 3: School Life and Future Plans | 主题三:学校生活与未来规划

School vocabulary forms a major part of Year 10: les matières, l’emploi du temps, les profs, le règlement scolaire. You need to be able to compare subjects, say what you like or dislike and explain why. Phrases like ‘Je préfère les maths parce que c’est intéressant’ or ‘Je n’aime pas l’histoire car c’est ennuyeux’ give you a solid start.

学校词汇构成 10 年级的重要部分:科目、课程表、老师、校规。你需要能够比较学科,说出喜欢或不喜欢,并解释原因。如“我更喜欢数学,因为它有趣”或“我不喜欢历史,因为它无聊”这样的句子能为你打下良好基础。

Looking ahead, the course asks you to discuss post-16 options and career ambitions. Key structures include the near future (je vais continuer mes études, je vais faire un apprentissage) and the conditional (je voudrais être médecin, j’aimerais travailler à l’étranger). Learning these patterns early makes the final speaking exam much easier.

放眼未来,课程要求你讨论 16 岁后的选择和职业抱负。关键结构包括最近将来时(je vais continuer mes études, je vais faire un apprentissage)和条件式(je voudrais être médecin, j’aimerais travailler à l’étranger)。尽早掌握这些句型会让最终口语考试容易得多。

7. Essential Grammar: Present Tense and Key Irregulars | 核心语法:现在时与关键不规则动词

Without a firm grasp of the present tense, you cannot describe habits, routines or facts. Start with regular -er verbs (parler, aimer, habiter): remove -er and add -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent. Then -ir verbs like finir (-is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent) and -re verbs like vendre (-s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent).

没有牢固掌握现在时,你无法描述习惯、日常或事实。先从规则 -er 动词(parler, aimer, habiter)开始:去掉 -er,加上 -e, -es, -e, -ons, -ez, -ent。然后是规则 -ir 动词,如 finir(-is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent)和 -re 动词,如 vendre(-s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent)。

However, you must prioritise the four most common irregular verbs. Here is a quick reference table to keep on your wall:

然而,你必须优先掌握最常用的四个不规则动词。下面是一个可供参考的快速表格,贴在你的墙上吧:

Verb je tu il/elle nous vous ils/elles
avoir (to have) ai as a avons avez ont
être (to be) suis es est sommes êtes sont
faire (to do/make) fais fais fait faisons faites font
aller (to go) vais vas va allons allez vont

Spend ten minutes a day reciting and writing these forms until they become automatic. Also practise using them in full sentences: ‘Je suis anglais(e), j’ai quinze ans, je fais du sport et je vais au collège.’

每天花十分钟背诵并写出这些变位,直到形成肌肉记忆。还要练习在完整的句子中使用它们:“我是英国人,我十五岁,我做运动,我去上学。”

8. Essential Grammar: Passé Composé and Near Future | 核心语法:复合过去时与最近将来时

To talk about past events in spoken and written French, you need the passé composé. It is formed with the present tense of avoir or être + past participle. Most verbs take avoir: j’ai regardé, tu as mangé, il a choisi. A limited group takes être, mainly movement verbs and reflexive verbs: je suis allé(e), tu es arrivé(e), elle s’est levée. Note that past participles with être agree with the subject in gender and number.

要用法语口语和书面语谈论过去事件,你需要掌握复合过去时。它的结构是 avoir 或 être 的现在时加上过去分词。大多数动词用 avoir:j’ai regardé, tu as mangé, il a choisi。一小部分动词用 être,主要是位移类动词和自反代词:je suis allé(e), tu es arrivé(e), elle s’est levée。请注意,être 作助动词时过去分词要与主语性数配合。

The near future (futur proche) is reassuringly simple: conjugate aller in the present + infinitive. Je vais faire mes devoirs, nous allons visiter Paris, ils vont sortir. This structure is incredibly useful for Theme 3 when discussing plans.

最近将来时(futur proche)则简单得让人安心:aller 的现在时变位加动词原形。Je vais faire mes devoirs, nous allons visiter Paris, ils vont sortir。这个结构在讨论计划主题三时极为有用。

9. Adjective Agreements and Comparisons | 形容词的配合与比较

Adjective agreement is one of the most common areas where marks are lost. The basic rule: add -e for feminine, -s for plural, -es for feminine plural. For example, un ami intelligent → une amie intelligente → des amis intelligents → des amies intelligentes. Some adjectives are irregular: beau → belle, vieux → vieille, sportif → sportive. Make a habit of checking every adjective you write.

比较级用 plus/moins/aussi + 形容词 + que 构成。她比我高,他没有他哥哥爱运动,这本书和电影一样有趣。最高级用 le/la/les plus/moins + 形容词。这是该地区最美丽的城市。

10. Building Vocabulary: Numbers, Time and Questions | 词汇积累:数字、时间与疑问

You will constantly need numbers for prices, times, dates and statistics. Make sure you can count to 100 confidently, then learn thousands and millions. Be comfortable telling the time: il est deux heures et demie, il est midi moins le quart. Days of the week, months and seasons must become second nature.

你在价格、时间、日期和统计数据中会不断用到数字。确保能熟练数到 100,再学习千和百万。要能自如地表达时间:现在是两点半,现在是中午十二点差一刻。星期、月份和季节必须形成本能反应。

Asking questions is a core skill. Focus on these question words: qui, que/qu’est-ce que, où, quand, comment, pourquoi, combien. Practise using them with inversion (Où habites-tu ?) or with ‘est-ce que’ (Qu’est-ce que tu aimes ?). Knowing how to form questions aids both speaking and listening comprehension.

提问是一项核心能力。重点掌握这些疑问词:谁、什么、哪里、何时、如何、为什么、多少。练习用主谓倒装(你住哪里?)或用 ‘est-ce que’(你喜欢什么?)提问。懂得提问有助于口语和听力理解。

11. Listening and Speaking Strategies | 听力与口语策略

Listening often feels fast, but you can train your ear over the summer. Listen to short French podcasts, songs or cartoons with subtitles. Try to pick out key words rather than every word. Focus on cognates – words that look/sound similar in English and French – to guess meaning. Practise past-paper listenings online to get used to the exam format.

听力往往感觉语速很快,但暑假可以训练耳朵。听短篇法语播客、歌曲或带字幕的动画片。尝试抓取关键词,而非每个词。利用同源词——英法形似或音似的词——猜测意思。在网上练习过往听力真题,熟悉考试形式。

For speaking, record yourself answering simple topic questions. Listen back and work on pronunciation, especially tricky sounds like the French ‘r’, nasal vowels and the difference between ‘u’ and ‘ou’. Learn a few filler phrases to buy thinking time: ‘alors’, ‘euh’, ‘en fait’, ‘voyons’. The summer is the perfect low-pressure moment to build confidence in speaking aloud.

口语方面,可以录下自己回答简单话题的录音。回听并改进发音,尤其是法语 ‘r’、鼻化元音以及 ‘u’ 和 ‘ou’ 的区别。学习几个填充词来争取思考时间:“alors”,“euh”,“en fait”,“voyons”。暑假是低压环境,正是培养开口自信的好时机。

12. Making the Most of Your Summer Study | 充分利用你的暑期学习

Create a realistic weekly plan: aim for 20–30 minutes of French four times a week rather than a long, exhausting cram session. Use a mix of active recall (self-quizzing), writing short paragraphs about yourself and your hobbies, and listening to French content. Try a language app to keep vocabulary fresh, but do not rely on it alone.

制定一个现实的周计划:每周四次,每次 20-30 分钟的法语学习,而不是一次马拉松式的疲劳轰炸。结合主动回忆(自测)、用有关自己和爱好的短文写作、以及听法语材料。试试语言应用保持词汇新鲜度,但不要完全依赖它们。

Set yourself a mini-project: a short written presentation titled ‘Tout sur moi’ that covers your family, hobbies, school and future plans, using the grammar you have revised. This will serve as a fantastic personal reference in your first week back.

为自己设定一个迷你项目:写一份题为“关于我的一切”的简短书面演示,涵盖家庭、爱好、学校和未来计划,并使用你复习过的语法。这会在你返校第一周成为一份出色的个人参考资料。

Finally, remember that language learning is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistency and little-and-often practice will give you a flying start in Year 10 AQA French. Bon courage!

最后,请记住语言学习是一场马拉松,而非冲刺。持之以恒、少量多次的练习会让你在 10 年级 AQA 法语中赢在起跑线上。加油!
