1. Nouns and Gender | 名词与词性

In German, every noun has one of three grammatical genders: masculine (der), feminine (die) or neuter (das). The gender is not always logical, so it is essential to learn each noun together with its definite article. Getting the gender right is the first step to using correct articles, adjective endings and pronouns later on.

在德语中,每个名词都分为三种语法性别之一:阳性 (der)、阴性 (die) 或中性 (das)。性别的划分并不总是符合逻辑,因此学习每个名词时必须同时记住它的定冠词。掌握正确的性别是日后使用正确冠词、形容词词尾和代词的第一步。

Some word endings give reliable clues about the gender of a noun. Nouns ending in -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -tion and -tät are nearly always feminine. Nouns ending in -chen or -lein are neuter, and many nouns ending in -er, -el and -en tend to be masculine.

一些词尾能够可靠地提示名词的性别。以 -ung, -heit, -keit, -schaft, -tion 和 -tät 结尾的名词几乎总是阴性。以 -chen 或 -lein 结尾的名词是中性,而许多以 -er, -el 和 -en 结尾的名词往往是阳性。

Here are typical Year 9 vocabulary examples with their genders:

以下是典型的九年级词汇例子及其性别:

  • der Tisch (table), der Lehrer (teacher), der Computer (computer)
  • die Lampe (lamp), die Freundin (girlfriend), die Zeitung (newspaper)
  • das Buch (book), das Mädchen (girl), das Fenster (window)

When learning new words, use colour-coding or draw a simple symbol next to each noun to help your brain remember the correct gender. Over time, recalling ‘der, die, das’ will become automatic.

学习新词时,可以使用颜色标记或在名词旁边画一个简单的符号来帮助大脑记住正确的性别。久而久之,回忆起 ‘der, die, das’ 就会变得自然而然。

2. Definite and Indefinite Articles | 定冠词与不定冠词

The definite article ‘the’ and the indefinite article ‘a/an’ change their form depending on the gender, number and case of the noun. In Year 9 you need to be confident with the nominative (subject), accusative (direct object) and dative (indirect object) cases.

定冠词 “the” 和不定冠词 “a/an” 会根据名词的性别、数和格发生变化。在九年级,你需要熟练掌握主格(主语)、宾格(直接宾语)和与格(间接宾语)的用法。

The table below summarises the definite articles in the three main cases:

下表汇总了三个主要格中的定冠词:

Case Masculine Feminine Neuter Plural
Nominative der die das die
Accusative den die das die
Dative dem der dem den

Indefinite articles follow a similar pattern: ein (masculine/nominative), eine (feminine/nominative), ein (neuter/nominative). In the accusative you need einen for masculine nouns, while feminine and neuter stay the same. The dative forms are einem (masculine/neuter) and einer (feminine).

不定冠词遵循类似的模式:主格阳性 ein,阴性 eine,中性 ein。在宾格中,阳性名词需要用 einen,阴性和中性保持不变。与格形式则是阳性和中性 einem,阴性 einer。

Look at these examples to see how the case changes the article:

请看以下例句观察格如何改变冠词:

  • Der Hund ist braun. (The dog is brown.) – nominative
  • Ich sehe den Hund. (I see the dog.) – accusative masculine
  • Ich gebe dem Hund einen Ball. (I give the dog a ball.) – dative masculine, accusative masculine

3. Present Tense Regular Verbs | 现在时规则动词变位

Most German verbs follow a regular pattern in the present tense. You take the stem (infinitive minus -en) and add the correct ending: -e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en. The verb ‘spielen’ (to play) demonstrates this clearly.

大多德语动词的现在时都遵循规则变化。取词干(不定式去掉 -en),加上对应的词尾:-e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en。动词 spielen(玩耍)清楚地展示了这一点。

Pronoun spielen
ich spiele
du spielst
er/sie/es spielt
wir spielen
ihr spielt
sie/Sie spielen

When the verb stem ends in -d, -t, -n or -m, an extra ‘e’ is often added before the -st and -t endings to make pronunciation easier. For example, ‘arbeiten’ becomes ‘du arbeitest’ and ‘er arbeitet’. The same rule applies to verbs like ‘reden’ and ‘finden’.

如果动词词干以 -d, -t, -n 或 -m 结尾,通常在 -st 和 -t 词尾前加一个 ‘e’,以便发音。例如,arbeiten 变为 du arbeitest 和 er arbeitet。这一规则同样适用于 reden 和 finden 等动词。

You should practise forming simple sentences using these verbs with common time expressions such as ‘heute’ (today), ‘jeden Tag’ (every day) and ‘am Wochenende’ (at the weekend). Repetition will help you internalise the pattern.

你应该多练习用这些动词搭配 heute(今天)、jeden Tag(每天)和 am Wochenende(在周末)等常见时间状语来造句。反复练习有助于你将变位模式内化。

4. Key Irregular Verbs: sein, haben, werden | 核心不规则动词:sein, haben, werden

Three verbs stand out as the most frequent and most irregular in German: sein (to be), haben (to have) and werden (to become / will). They are used constantly, both on their own and as auxiliary verbs, so you must learn their forms by heart.

有三个动词在德语中使用频率最高且最不规则:sein(是)、haben(有)和 werden(变成/将)。它们无论是单独使用还是作为助动词都频繁出现,因此你必须牢牢记住它们的变位。

Here is the present tense conjugation of sein:

以下是 sein 的现在时变位:

ich bin du bist er/sie/es ist wir sind ihr seid sie/Sie sind

Sein is used for identities, descriptions and locations: Ich bin 14 Jahre alt. (I am 14 years old.) Wir sind in der Schule. (We are at school.)

Sein 用于表示身份、描述和地点:Ich bin 14 Jahre alt.(我 14 岁。)Wir sind in der Schule.(我们在学校。)

Haben follows a slightly irregular pattern:

ich habe du hast er/sie/es hat wir haben ihr habt sie/Sie haben

You use haben to express possession: Ich habe einen Bruder. (I have a brother.) It also appears in many set phrases such as Hunger haben (to be hungry) and Zeit haben (to have time).

Haben 用来表达拥有:Ich habe einen Bruder.(我有一个哥哥。)它还出现在许多固定搭配中,比如 Hunger haben(饿了)和 Zeit haben(有时间)。

Werden means ‘to become’ but also forms the future tense. Its present tense is:

ich werde du wirstPublished by TutorHao | Year 9 德语 Revision Series | aleveler.com
