1. Noun Genders & the Four Cases | 名词的性与四格

Every German noun has a gender (der, die, das) and must be used in the correct case: Nominative (subject), Accusative (direct object), Dative (indirect object) or Genitive (possession). The case signals the noun’s function in a sentence.

每个德语名词都有性(der、die、das),并必须使用正确的格:主格(主语)、宾格(直接宾语)、与格(间接宾语)或属格(所属关系)。格表示名词在句中的功能。

  • Nominative: Wer? Was? (the subject) – Der Hund bellt.
  • 主格:谁?什么?(主语)—— Der Hund bellt.
  • Accusative: Wen? Was? (direct object) – Ich sehe den Hund.
  • 宾格:谁?什么?(直接宾语)—— Ich sehe den Hund.
  • Dative: Wem? (indirect object) – Ich gebe dem Hund den Ball.
  • 与格:给谁?(间接宾语)—— Ich gebe dem Hund den Ball.
  • Genitive: Wessen? (possession) – Das Spielzeug des Hundes.
  • 属格:谁的?(所属)—— Das Spielzeug des Hundes.
Case Masculine Neuter Feminine Plural
Nominative der / ein das / ein die / eine die / –
Accusative den / einen das / ein die / eine die / –
Dative dem / einem dem / einem der / einer den / –
Genitive des / eines +s/es des / eines +s/es der / einer der / –

Remember: Prepositions can force a specific case (e.g. für + accusative, mit + dative, wegen + genitive). Two-way prepositions (in, an, auf etc.) take accusative for motion towards, dative for location.

记住:介词会迫使使用特定格(例如,für + 宾格,mit + 与格,wegen + 属格)。双介词(in, an, auf 等)表示移动方向时用宾格,表示静止位置时用与格。

2. Adjective Endings | 形容词词尾变化

Adjective endings depend on the article (definite, indefinite, or no article), the gender, and the case of the noun they describe. This is a classic “formula” area – learn the three tables and you can generate any form quickly.

形容词词尾取决于冠词(定冠词、不定冠词或无冠词)、名词的性和格。这是一个经典的“公式”领域——学会三张表格,您就可以快速生成任何形式。

With definite article (der/die/das)

与定冠词连用

After der/die/das, the adjective takes -e in nominative singular, and -en in almost all other forms.

The adjective must show the gender/case clearly: nominative masculine -er, neuter -es, feminine -e; accusative masculine -en, etc.

形容词必须清晰表示性/格:主格阳性 -er,中性 -es,阴性 -e;宾格阳性 -en 等等。

  • ein guter Wein, eine gute Milch, ein gutes Brot (nom.)
  • einen guten Wein (acc.), einem guten Wein (dat.)

No article (strong declension)

无冠词(强变化)

Adjective endings mirror those of the definite article, except genitive masculine and neuter (-en instead of -es).

形容词词尾除了属格阳性和中性(用 -en 而不是 -es)外,与定冠词词尾相同。

  • guter Wein, gute Milch, gutes Brot (nom.)

3. Personal, Possessive & Relative Pronouns | 人称、物主和关系代词

Pronouns follow strict case patterns. Quick-reference the most important ones.

代词遵循严格的格变化模式。快速查阅最重要的几种。

Personal pronouns in nominative, accusative, dative:

人称代词的主格、宾格、与格:

Nom. Acc. Dat.
ich ich mich mir
du du dich dir
er er ihn ihm
sie (sing.) sie sie ihr
es es es ihm
wir wir uns uns
ihr ihr euch euch
sie/Sie sie/Sie sie/Sie ihnen/Ihnen

Relative pronouns look like the definite article, except dative plural denen and genitive forms dessen/deren. They introduce relative clauses, and the verb goes to the end: Der Mann, der hier wohnt, …

关系代词看起来像定冠词,除了与格复数 denen 和属格形式 dessen/deren。它们引导关系从句,动词放句尾:Der Mann, der hier wohnt, …

4. Present Tense Verb Conjugation | 动词现在时变位

Regular (weak) verbs follow this formula: stem + endings (-e, -st, -t, -en, -t, -en). Watch out for stem-changing strong verbs (e.g., lesen → du liest, er liest).

规则(弱变化)动词遵循此公式:词干 + 词尾(-e、-st、-t、-en、-t、-en)。注意词干变化的强变化动词(例如,lesen → du liest, er liest)。

Regular: spielen (to play)

规则动词:spielen

  • ich spiele, du spielst, er/sie/es spielt, wir spielen, ihr spielt, sie/Sie spielen

Stem vowel change a → ä: fahren

词干元音 a → ä:fahren

  • ich fahre, du fährst, er fährt, wir fahren, ihr fahrt, sie fahren

Be especially accurate with haben, sein, werden as they are auxiliary verbs for other tenses.

特别注意 haben、sein、werden,因为它们是构成其他时态的助动词。

5. Perfect & Past Tenses (Perfekt & Präteritum) | 完成时与过去时

The Perfekt (conversational past) is formed with an auxiliary (haben/sein) + past participle. The participle of weak verbs is ge + stem + t; strong verbs have ge + stem (with altered vowel) + en. The auxiliary sein is used with verbs of motion or state change (e.g., fahren, gehen, werden).

完成时(会话过去时)由助动词(haben/sein)+ 过去分词构成。弱变化动词的分词为 ge + 词干 + t;强变化动词为 ge + 词干(元音变化)+ en。表示移动或状态变化的动词(如 fahren、gehen、werden)使用助动词 sein

  • Ich habe gespielt. (I played / have played) – 我玩过了。
  • Ich bin gefahren. (I travelled) – 我出行了。

The Präteritum (narrative past) is used in written German. Strong verbs often change their stem and take endings -te, -test, -te, -ten, -tet, -ten. However, many common verbs are irregular: ging, kam, sah, gab. Learn these as fixed forms.

过去时(叙事过去时)用于书面德语。强变化动词通常改变词干并添加词尾 -te、-test、-te、-ten、-tet、-ten。但许多常用动词是不规则的:ging、kam、sah、gab。将它们作为固定形式来记忆。

6. Modal Verbs & Future Tense | 情态动词与将来时

Modal verbs (können, müssen, wollen, sollen, dürfen, mögen) follow their own present-tense conjugation with a stem vowel change (except sollen), and ich/er forms are identical (no ending). They are used with a second verb in the infinitive at the end of the clause.

情态动词(können、müssen、wollen、sollen、dürfen、mögen)有其特有的现在时变位,词干元音发生变化(sollen 除外),且 ich/er 形式相同(无词尾)。它们与句末第二个动词的不定式一起使用。

  • ich kann, du kannst, er kann – wir können
  • Ich kann gut schwimmen. – 我游泳游得好。

The future tense uses werden + infinitive (infinitive at end). Werden conjugates: ich werde, du wirst, er wird, wir werden, ihr werdet, sie werden.

将来时使用 werden + 不定式(不定式放句尾)。Werden 变位:ich werde, du wirst, er wird, wir werden, ihr werdet, sie werden。

  • Ich werde morgen ins Kino gehen. – 明天我要去电影院。

7. Passive Voice (Vorgangspassiv) | 被动语态(过程被动式)

The passive is formed with werden (conjugated) + past participle. The agent is optional and introduced by von (+ dative). Formula: Subject + werden + … + past participle.

被动语态由 werden(变位)+ 过去分词构成。动作执行者是可选的,由 von(+ 与格)引出。公式:主语 + werden + … + 过去分词。

  • Present: Die Tür wird geöffnet. – 门正在被打开。
  • Past: Die Tür wurde geöffnet. – 门被打开了。
  • Perfect: Die Tür ist geöffnet worden. – 门已经被打开了。 (Note: double infinitive worden instead of geworden)
  • 完成时:Die Tür ist geöffnet worden. – 门已经被打开了。(注意:双重不定式用 worden 而非 geworden

The Zustandspassiv (state passive) uses sein + past participle and describes a resulting state: Die Tür ist geöffnet (The door is open).

状态被动式使用 sein + 过去分词,描述结果状态:Die Tür ist geöffnet(门是开着的)。

8. Subordinating Conjunctions & Word Order | 从属连词与语序

These are the “magic words” that send the conjugated verb to the end of the clause. They are absolutely crucial for achieving high marks. Key subordinators: dass, weil, obwohl, wenn, als, damit, sodass, bevor, nachdem, während, seitdem, indem, ob.

这些“魔术词”会将变位动词送到从句末尾。它们对于取得高分至关重要。关键词:dass、weil、obwohl、wenn、als、damit、sodass、bevor、nachdem、während、seitdem、indem、ob

Formula: Main clause (verb in position 2) + comma + subordinator + subject + … + verb (infinitive or participle at the very end, but conjugated auxiliary comes before).

公式:主句(动词第二位)+ 逗号 + 从属连词 + 主语 + … + 动词(不定式或分词在最末,但变位助动词在前)。

  • Ich denke, dass er morgen nach Berlin fahren wird. – 我想他明天会去柏林。
  • Sie bleibt zu Hause, weil sie krank ist. – 她待在家里,因为她病了。

Inverted word order: When a sentence starts with something other than the subject, the verb must still be second. This is called inversion: Heute gehe ich ins Kino.

倒装语序:当句子以非主语成分开头时,动词仍然必须置于第二位。这称为倒装:Heute gehe ich ins Kino.

9. The Subjunctive (Konjunktiv II) | 第二虚拟式

Konjunktiv II expresses hypothetical situations, polite requests, or wishes. For most verbs, it is formed using the würde + infinitive construction. However, a few very common verbs have their own simple Konjunktiv II forms that you must know: sein → wäre, haben → hätte, werden → würde, the modal verbs and wissen.

第二虚拟式表达假设情况、礼貌请求或愿望。对大多数动词来说,用 würde + 不定式结构构成。但少数极常用动词有自己简单的第二虚拟式形式,必须掌握:sein → wärehaben → hättewerden → würde、情态动词以及 wissen

  • hätte (hätten, hättest, hätte, hätten, hättet, hätten)
  • wäre (wäre, wärst, wäre, wären, wärt, wären)
  • könnte, müsste, wollte, sollte, dürfte, möchte

If-sentences: Wenn introduces a subjunctive conditional clause (verb at end). The main clause often also uses Konj. II.

条件句:Wenn 引导虚拟条件从句(动词在末尾)。主句通常也使用第二虚拟式。

  • Wenn ich mehr Zeit hätte, würde ich ein Buch lesen. – 如果我有更多时间,我就会读一本书。

10. Prepositions with Fixed Cases | 介词与固定格的搭配

Knowing which case a preposition governs will eliminate a huge number of grammar mistakes. Group them mentally.

知道介词支配哪个格可以消除大量语法错误。将它们分组记忆。

Accusative only: durch, für, ohne, um, gegen, bis, entlang (postposition).

仅支配宾格:durch、für、ohne、um、gegen、bis、entlang(后置)。

Dative only: aus, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu.

仅支配与格:aus、bei、mit、nach、seit、von、zu

Genitive (mainly formal): wegen, trotz, während, aufgrund, anstatt.

属格(主要用于正式语体):wegen、trotz、während、aufgrund、anstatt

Two-way (acc. motion / dat. location): an, auf, hinter, in, neben, über, unter, vor, zwischen.

双介词(动态宾格/静态与格):an、auf、hinter、in、neben、über、unter、vor、zwischen

Tip: Use the question words: Wo? (where, dative) vs. Wohin? (where to, accusative).

提示:使用疑问词:Wo?(哪里,与格)和 Wohin?(去哪里,宾格)。

11. Key Clause Structures & Linking Words | 关键从句结构与连接词

To write analytically and persuasively, you need to combine clauses fluidly. Learn these templates.

为了写出分析性和说服力强的文章,您需要流畅地组合从句。学习这些模板。

  • Opinion + dass: Ich bin der Meinung, dass… / Ich halte es für wichtig, dass… (verb at end)
  • 观点 + dass:Ich bin der Meinung, dass… / Ich halte es für wichtig, dass…(动词在句末)

  • Using infinitive clauses: um … zu (in order to), ohne … zu (without …ing), statt … zu (instead of …ing) – zu + infinitive at end.
  • 使用不定式从句:um … zu(为了)、ohne … zu(没有……就)、statt … zu(而不是……)—— zu + 不定式放末尾。

Examples:

举例:

  • Ich lerne viel, um die Prüfung zu bestehen. – 我学习很用功,为了通过考试。
  • Er ging, ohne ein Wort zu sagen. – 他一句话没说就走了。
