📚 AS CAIE French Core Knowledge Review | AS CAIE 法语核心知识点梳理

Mastering AS-level French under the CAIE specification requires a solid grasp of grammar, vocabulary and exam techniques. This article provides a structured overview of the core knowledge areas you need to excel, presented in bilingual pairs to reinforce your understanding.

要掌握CAIE AS法语课程,需要扎实掌握语法、词汇和考试技巧。本文以中英对照的形式,系统地梳理了必须精通的核心知识点,帮助你巩固理解。

1. Nouns and Articles | 名词与冠词

Every French noun has a gender, either masculine or feminine. While some endings give clues (e.g. -age is often masculine, -tion is feminine), many must be memorised alongside the article.

每个法语名词都有性别,阳性或阴性。尽管某些词尾能提供线索(如 -age 常为阳性,-tion 为阴性),但许多名词需要连同冠词一起记忆。

Definite articles (le, la, l’, les) mean ‘the’ and must agree in gender and number with the noun. Indefinite articles (un, une, des) mean ‘a/an/some’. Partitive articles (du, de la, de l’, des) express an unspecified quantity, often translated as ‘some’ or ‘any’.

定冠词(le, la, l’, les)表示“这个/那个/这些”,必须与名词的性数配合。不定冠词(un, une, des)表示“一个/一些”。部分冠词(du, de la, de l’, des)表示不确定的量,常译为“一些”。

After a negative expression, indefinite and partitive articles usually change to de or d’ (except with the verb être). For example: J’ai un chien → Je n’ai pas de chien.

在否定表达之后,不定冠词和部分冠词通常变为 de 或 d’(与 être 连用时除外)。例如:J’ai un chien → Je n’ai pas de chien.

2. Adjectives: Agreement and Position | 形容词:配合与位置

Adjectives must agree in gender and number with the noun they describe. Most add -e for feminine, -s for masculine plural, and -es for feminine plural. Irregular forms such as beau/bel/belle, vieux/vieil/vieille, and blanc/blanche must be learned.

形容词必须与所修饰名词的性数一致。大多数形容词阴性加 -e,阳性复数加 -s,阴性复数加 -es。不规则形式如 beau/bel/belle、vieux/vieil/vieille 和 blanc/blanche 需要牢记。

Generally, adjectives come after the noun, but some common ones (bon, petit, grand, joli, jeune, vieux, beau, nouveau) precede it. Certain adjectives change meaning depending on position: un homme grand (a tall man) vs un grand homme (a great man).

形容词通常位于名词之后,但一些常用形容词(bon, petit, grand, joli, jeune, vieux, beau, nouveau)置于名词之前。某些形容词的位置不同会改变词义:un homme grand(高个子男人)与 un grand homme(伟大的人)。

3. Present Tense Verb Conjugation | 现在时动词变位

The present tense is used for current actions, habitual events and general truths. Regular -er verbs follow a predictable pattern: e, es, e, ons, ez, ent. -ir verbs like finir add -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent for the main model. -re verbs such as vendre take -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent.

现在时用于描述当前动作、习惯性事件和普遍真理。规则 -er 动词遵循规律:e, es, e, ons, ez, ent。以 -ir 结尾的动词如 finir 的主要模型为 -is, -is, -it, -issons, -issez, -issent。-re 动词如 vendre 的词尾为 -s, -s, -, -ons, -ez, -ent。

Key irregular verbs must be memorised: être (je suis, tu es, il est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils sont), avoir (j’ai, tu as, il a, nous avons, vous avez, ils ont), aller (je vais, tu vas, il va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont), faire (je fais, tu fais, il fait, nous faisons, vous faites, ils font) and others like pouvoir, vouloir, devoir, venir, prendre.

必须牢记关键不规则动词:être(je suis, tu es, il est, nous sommes, vous êtes, ils sont)、avoir(j’ai, tu as, il a, nous avons, vous avez, ils ont)、aller(je vais, tu vas, il va, nous allons, vous allez, ils vont)、faire(je fais, tu fais, il fait, nous faisons, vous faites, ils font)以及 pouvoir、vouloir、devoir、venir、prendre 等。

4. The Passé Composé and Imparfait | 复合过去时与未完成过去时

The passé composé expresses completed actions in the past. It is formed with the present tense of avoir or être plus the past participle. Être is used with a limited set of intransitive verbs (DR MRS VANDERTRAMP: descendre, rester, mourir, retourner, sortir, venir, arriver, naître, devenir, entrer, rentrer, tomber, revenir, aller, monter, partir, passer) and all reflexive verbs. Past participles agree in gender and number with the subject when être is used.

复合过去时表示过去完成的动作。由 avoir 或 être 的现在时加上过去分词构成。Être 用于有限的不及物动词(DR MRS VANDERTRAMP 动词:descendre, rester, mourir, retourner, sortir, venir, arriver, naître, devenir, entrer, rentrer, tomber, revenir, aller, monter, partir, passer)以及所有代动词。使用 être 时,过去分词须与主语性数配合。

The imparfait describes ongoing or habitual past actions, background descriptions, and states of being. It is formed by taking the nous form of the present tense, removing -ons, and adding the endings -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient. The only irregular stem is être: j’étais.

未完成过去时用于描述过去正在进行的或习惯性的动作、背景描写和状态。其构成方式为:取现在时 nous 的词干,去掉 -ons,加上词尾 -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient。唯一的不规则词干是 être:j’étais。

Often the two tenses appear together: the imparfait sets the scene or describes an interrupted action, while the passé composé indicates the event that occurred.

这两个时态常配合使用:未完成过去时交代背景或描述被中断的动作,而复合过去时指明发生的事情。

5. Future and Conditional Tenses | 将来时与条件式

The simple future (futur simple) is formed by adding endings -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont to the infinitive of regular -er and -ir verbs. For -re verbs, the final e is dropped. There are irregular stems: être → ser-, avoir → aur-, aller → ir-, faire → fer-, pouvoir → pourr-, devoir → devr-, venir → viendr-, etc.

简单将来时通过在规则 -er 和 -ir 动词原形后添加词尾 -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont 构成。-re 动词需去掉词尾的 e。不规则词干有:être → ser-,avoir → aur-,aller → ir-,faire → fer-,pouvoir → pourr-,devoir → devr-,venir → viendr- 等。

The near future (futur proche) uses aller + infinitive and refers to immediate or intended future actions. It is highly common in spoken French.

最近将来时使用 aller + 动词原形,表示即将发生或计划中的动作,在口语中十分常用。

The conditional is used to express hypothetical situations or polite requests. Its stem is the same as the simple future, with imperfect endings (-ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient). In ‘si’ clauses, the imperfect is paired with the conditional: Si j’avais le temps, je voyagerais.

条件式用于表达假设或礼貌请求。其词干与简单将来时相同,词尾采用未完成过去时词尾(-ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient)。在“si”从句中,未完成过去时与条件式搭配:Si j’avais le temps, je voyagerais.

6. The Subjunctive Mood | 虚拟式

The subjunctive is used after expressions of necessity, desire, emotion, doubt, and certain conjunctions. It is typically introduced by que. The present subjunctive is formed from the ils/elles stem of the present tense, with endings -e, -es, -e, -ions, -iez, -ent.

At AS level, recognising and producing basic subjunctive forms in prescribed contexts is essential, especially in writing tasks.

在AS阶段,在指定语境中识别和使用基本虚拟式至关重要,尤其在写作任务中。

7. Pronouns: Direct, Indirect, and Relative | 代词:直接、间接与关系代词

Direct object pronouns (me, te, le/la, nous, vous, les) replace a noun directly receiving the action. They precede the verb: Je le vois. In the passé composé, they cause past participle agreement when placed before avoir: La pomme que j’ai mangée.

直接宾语代词(me, te, le/la, nous, vous, les)代替直接承受动作的名词,置于动词之前:Je le vois。在复合过去时中,当置于 avoir 之前时,会引起过去分词的配合:La pomme que j’ai mangée。

Indirect object pronouns (me, te, lui, nous, vous, leur) replace nouns preceded by à (to/for a person). The pronouns y (replaces à + thing or place) and en (replaces de + noun, or some/any quantity) are also vital.

间接宾语代词(me, te, lui, nous, vous, leur)代替由 à 引导的指人名词。代词 y(代替 à + 事物或地点)和 en(代替 de + 名词,或表示数量)同样重要。

Relative pronouns qui (subject), que (direct object), dont (of which, whose), and où (where, when) connect clauses. Lequel/laquelle/lesquels/lesquelles are used after prepositions.

关系代词 qui(主语)、que(直接宾语)、dont(关于……的,其)和 où(地点或时间)用于连接从句。介词后使用 lequel/laquelle/lesquels/lesquelles。

8. Prepositions and Conjunctions | 介词与连词

Prepositions often cause difficulty. à and de are used in many idiomatic constructions: commencer à, décider de, continuer à/de. Geographical prepositions: en (feminine country/continent), au (masculine country), aux (plural), à (city).

介词常常造成困难。à 和 de 用于大量固定搭配:commencer à、décider de、continuer à/de。地理介词:en(阴性国家/大洲)、au(阳性国家)、aux(复数)、à(城市)。

Common prepositions of time and place include depuis (since/for), pendant (during), pour (for/in order to), avant (before), après (after), vers (towards/around), chez (at/to someone’s place). Know their usage in verbal phrases.

常见的时间和地点介词有 depuis(从……起/……以来)、pendant(在……期间)、pour(为了)、avant(在……前)、après(在……后)、vers(朝向/大约)、chez(在某人处)。需掌握它们在动词短语中的用法。

Crucial coordinating conjunctions: mais, ou, et, donc, or, ni, car. Subordinating conjunctions like parce que, puisque, comme, quand, lorsque, si, and those requiring the subjunctive (bien que, pour que, à condition que) are essential for complex sentences.

重要的并列连词:mais, ou, et, donc, or, ni, car。从属连词如 parce que、puisque、comme、quand、lorsque、si,以及需用虚拟式的连词(bien que、pour que、à condition que)对于构建复杂句必不可少。

9. Negation and Interrogation | 否定与疑问

The standard negation ne … pas surrounds the conjugated verb. In compound tenses, it surrounds the auxiliary: Je n’ai pas fini. Other negative structures: ne … jamais (never), ne … rien (nothing), ne … personne (nobody), ne … plus (no longer), ne … que (only).

标准否定结构 ne … pas 包围变位动词。在复合时态中,它包围助动词:Je n’ai pas fini。其他否定结构:ne … jamais(从未)、ne … rien(没有任何东西)、ne … personne(没有人)、ne … plus(不再)、ne … que(仅仅)。

There are three main ways to form questions: intonation (simple rise in pitch), est-ce que + subject + verb, and inversion (inverting subject and verb). Inversion is most formal but tested in writing and listening. Know how to handle inverted forms with pronouns: Parlez-vous français? L’a-t-il vu?

构成疑问句主要有三种方式:语调上升、est-ce que + 主语 + 动词,以及主谓倒装。倒装最为正式,但在写作和听力中考查。需掌握带代词时的倒装形式:Parlez-vous français? L’a-t-il vu?

10. Key Vocabulary Themes | 主题词汇

CAIE AS French is structured around thematic areas: everyday life, family and relationships, leisure activities, travel and tourism, media, technology, education, and the environment. Building a solid lexical bank in these domains is crucial.

CAIE AS法语课程围绕若干主题领域展开:日常生活、家庭与人际关系、休闲活动、旅游、媒体、科技、教育和环境。在这些领域建立扎实的词汇库至关重要。

For family, learn terms like aîné(e), cadet(te), veuf/veuve, célibataire, s’entendre bien/mal, élever. For environment: le réchauffement climatique, la pollution, les déchets, le développement durable, recycler. For technology: un portable, télécharger, un réseau social, en ligne, l’intelligence artificielle.

关于家庭,要学习 aîné(e)、cadet(te)、veuf/veuve、célibataire、s’entendre bien/mal、élever 等词。环境方面:le réchauffement climatique、la pollution、les déchets、le développement durable、recycler。科技方面:un portable、télécharger、un réseau social、en ligne、l’intelligence artificielle。

Use linking phrases to connect ideas: d’abord, ensuite, enfin, de plus, par contre, cependant, en revanche, donc, ainsi, par conséquent. These will elevate both written and spoken responses.

使用连接短语衔接观点:d’abord、ensuite、enfin、de plus、par contre、cependant、en revanche、donc、ainsi、par conséquent。这些能让书面和口头回答增色不少。

11. Reading and Listening Strategies | 阅读与听力策略

For the reading paper, scan for cognates to get the gist, but beware of faux amis (e.g. actuellement = currently, not ‘actually’). Identify key question words and predict the grammatical form of the answer.

针对阅读卷,浏览同源词以把握大意,但要警惕假朋友(如 actuellement 意为“目前”,而非“actually”)。识别关键疑问词并预判答案的语法形式。

In gap-fill and multiple-choice exercises, look for grammatical clues: gender and number markers, verb tense consistency, and prepositions. For listening, read the questions before the audio begins, noting what specific information is required (a number, a name, an opinion).

在做完形填空和选择题时,注意语法线索:性数标志、时态一致和介词。听力部分,在音频开始前阅读题目,标记需要获取的具体信息(数字、姓名、观点)。

Familiarity with different francophone accents is helpful. The CAIE exam includes speakers from various regions. Practise with past papers to build stamina and understand question styles.

熟悉不同法语口音大有裨益。CAIE考试会包含来自不同地区的说话者。用历年真题练习,以培养耐力和熟悉题型。

12. Writing and Speaking Exam Skills | 写作与口语考试技巧

In the writing paper, you may be asked to produce an email, a short letter, or a discursive essay of around 130-150 words. Always address the bullet points in the prompt, use correct register (tu/vous), and show a range of tenses and structures.

写作试卷中,你可能会被要求写一封邮件、一封信或一篇约130-150词的议论文。务必回应提示中的所有要点,使用正确的语域(tu/vous),并展示多种时态和结构。

Plan before writing: outline your ideas, and ensure each paragraph has a clear focus. Proofread for agreement, tense, and spelling mistakes. Include impersonal expressions like il est essentiel que, il faut que, je pense que to demonstrate complexity.

写作前先列提纲:梳理观点,确保每段有明确中心。检查性数配合、时态和拼写错误。使用无人称表达如 il est essentiel que、il faut que、je pense que 来体现复杂度。

For the speaking exam, prepare the role-play scenarios by anticipating common transactional language (asking for information, making a complaint, giving opinions). In the topic conversation, give developed answers with justifications and examples. Use fillers such as alors, en fait, ben, euh to sound natural while thinking.

针对口语考试,通过预判常见事务性语言(询问信息、投诉、表达意见)来准备角色扮演。在主题讨论中,给出展开的回答并带有理由和例子。使用 alors、en fait、ben、euh 等填充语,在思考时让表达更自然。

Regular practice with a partner or recording yourself can help identify pronunciation issues and boost fluency. Focus on clear intonation and liaison where appropriate.

定期与语伴练习或录音回放有助于发现发音问题并提升流利度。关注清晰的语调,并在适当处进行联诵。
